Charming Studio Escape: Cozy & Convenient Getaway

Jacob JoseRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Highly recommended place, and even if you pack light, you will have no worries cause they have a laundry shop in front of the rented space. I love that most the places I I want to visit and dine with are within 2-3 blocks away (highly walkable), and you can easily spot nice beaches within a walk away as well. For those that rent vehicles as well, I highly recommend this place. They have a proper garage good enough for 1 sedan or SUV, and a couple of motorcycled if needed. Amenities meet the basic needs. Free refill of water (I love). Clean room. Fast internet. Aircondition is well maintained. And if you want, they have tables and chairs outside for dining or tambay. For those that will try, don't miss trying the BBQ shop beside it. They sell Chicken Ovary BBQ (a unique food I only discovered in bantayan). The place is close to food stalls. Mini grocers. Mr DIY. Drugstores. Fruit stands. And Souvenirs. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay there again.

LOVED ❤️ this place! Great hosts, comfy, and affordable. Rhynie & Jurgen are wonderful hosts, super responsive, and make you feel right at home. They have scooter for rent which makes traveling the island a breeze. The pool is a great way to cool down. I will book this place again on next visit to Bantayan. If you are wondering if you should stay here don’t think twice about it, just pull the trigger you won’t regret it!

If you're looking for a place that feels like home - you should stay at Gina's. Everything you need there, a kitchen, bathroom and a huge, comfortable bed. You can sit outside, in the garden, relax with a cup of coffee or go for a walk in the neighbourhood. Many small shops around, the town centre 10 minutes moto ride. Privacy and space - all you need.

It was a best experience for me and the place was giving. It’s simple but you can rest so well the AC is so cold. The safety is what I like and the host is reponsive. It was near from the market and restaurants. Best experience ever so far. Thank you for having us we enjoy our stay.

Clean, basic, simple, close to everything, 2 minutes walk from the wonderful Kota Beach. Must be accustomed with rooster singing day and night, though.

Grace was very helpful and responsive during the day especially when staff thought we checked out even when our stuff was still in the room. Thankfully, they were able to transfer our stuff instead and everything was smooth from there. grace's home is in a peaceful and quiet area. you'll need to ride a trike to the major tour spots though and note that trike should only be 20 per head because they usually overcharge tourists. The bathroom was really clean, spacious and have generous toiletries. she also has a rich collection of books which I enjoyed as well. overall, we had a great experience!

Ronald and Merian were amazing hosts. They had plenty of recommendations of places to visit in sta fe and bantayan island. They offered free pick up from the harbour and also a free tour of the island. The place was really nice and felt like home. They offered us delicious and fresh coconut juice as a welcome drink. For a group of five it really felt spacious yet still intimate. Overall, our stay was great! Would recommend this to others!

It is what you see in pictures. But in the app they didn’t tell that one of the rooms doesn’t have an air condition. The place is nice and cosy but there are smell of the molds specially the second floor.

Simple Rest House with Native Cottage in Bantayan

DanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We requested to stay at Eleazar's place very last minute, local lady Daisy came to assist us and was very responsive. The place has everything a local would like in the Philippines, behind a local school the placewas peaceful and welcoming. The beach 150m away was the best we found on the island, shallow warm waters and full of local fishermen at dusk heading our for the night, a little bit out of town it could be walked but as we had kids we were easily picked up by trike drivers once we walked up to the nearby main road. It is rudimental but spacious and I could happily live there for a month if I could spare the time (though I would hope for a long term discount!) Bantayan Island and Santa Fe is great and though it's a bit more pricey than some other areas I'm sure you could eventually find a low cost lifestyle. Thanks Daisy and Eleazar
