House holiday rentals in Malpais

I could not recommend this airbnb more!!! The hosts were the best hosts I have had through airbnb. They messaged us before our stay to give us instructions on how to find the place along with restaurants and recommendations on what to do. Any questions we had they were extremely attentive and responding in minutes. The location was stunning. It was difficult to get to with a car but 100% doable. We ended up renting an ATV from a company that they work with. The ATV company came to deliver it to the house and picked it up as well The hosts offered a cleaning lady to come daily which was an even better plus. It was only about a 5 minute ATV ride to the start of the main road where all the restaurants are. Overall, we had an amazing stay :))

We had the best time at Richards place, and loved the location being right next to Rocobar to grab a bite to eat. The beach is amazing, we would definitely book again.

This home had beautiful views, a wonderful staff, and was a superb find for our family’s Christmas vacation. Santa Teresa is amazing and we had some of the best food on vacation ever! Our host , Brano was very responsive and our local helpers were amazing. There is a housekeeping staff on site, but they respect your privacy and keep watch over the property. They brought us extra towels when needed and were overall extremely respectful and helpful. For those traveling to this location, I strongly recommend either a car or ATVs as the home is located up a steep driveway. It is walkable (and there are 150 stairs to use instead) but to do this on a daily basis, you would have to be pretty fit and young. In addition, there are stairs from the driveway to get down to the house and these would not be appropriate for anyone with balance or stability issues. They were fine for us at 50 years old, but should be a consideration for anyone with walking or stability issues. We had a great time!

Everything was amazing including the chef I hired. The massage therapist for my retreat was top notch. Marisel the house manager was top of the line! She was very responsive and took care of all of my needs for my women's retreat as well and scheduled the massages and transportation. Sergio our driver for our excursions was the best. The customer service was phenomenal. My only challenge was I scheduled a beach picnic, and the description said there was a path to the beach. This is a path right along the driveway separated by greenery (not sure why the path was even built when you can just walk down the driveway and end up in the same place and easier. This path includes about 50 steps and about 8/10 cement stepping-stones that lead to a gate, you then walk across the street to another path that's not good for elderly or anyone with knee/hip/leg challenges as it's over debris, rocks, roots, water, mud etc and at least another 1000 steps if not more (not good at distance).

Make sure you have 4x4 and book this place, you won’t regret it!!!!!!!

Sandi was a great host. Home was perfect, great location, well worth the price. Home was modern, clean and gorgeous. Would definitely stay again, great restaurants beautiful beaches. 10/10 recommend.

Cool spot amazing sunset nice pool and patio!

Carlie was very responsive and helpful, she left detailed instructions, we had no issues finding the location or getting situated. The home is very spacious, we enjoyed the beautiful view from the balconies, we were able to appreciate the sound of howling monkeys on several occasions and were able to get a good view of them as well! the home is within walking distance to the beach although we had small children so we drove each time, restaurants and shops are within 5-15 minute driving distance to the home, there are several beach options which is great! the home has laundry, a huge bonus for us.

This house was absolutely stunning. Words won’t do it justice. I think this is the most gorgeous air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. One morning we saw 20 monkeys swing from tree to tree in front of the porch that also has an ocean view. The cabinetry and design was breathtaking. Matias was so responsive and helpful. The place was spotless. My family was so impressed with my Air bnb selection and we had the best vacation. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely get a 4x4 because the road to the place is no joke. And you will need it for all the other exploring too! Can’t wait to come back.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, beautifully designed, and well-stocked the space was. The location was ideal — close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and quiet at night. We absolutely loved this place. It’s gorgeous and serene and a perfect blend of shared space and privacy in the bedroom/bathroom suites. Pat and crew were super friendly, accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended!

I had a great stay! Anne-Laure is a wonderful host—she made sure my check-in went smoothly and helped me out multiple times during my stay. We had a wonderful stay! The place is beautiful and wonderfully quiet – a true retreat. Its location was perfect, with the surfing area being an easy walk away. The house itself was very comfortable and we felt completely safe. Communication with the host was fantastic

There were six of us at Felicitas's house and we had a wonderful time. The pool is amazing and was especially loved by our kids. The house is the last house in front of the entrance to the national park. We have seen many animals from the garden - including red macaws, howler monkeys, scorpions, and the toads in the pond. On the terraces we could eat very well and sit in the evening. A car is recommended as we did not see any buses there.

The house is absolutely spectacular, the views are wonderful, I would say that the house lacks a bit of maintenance in the green areas, the Refri from below almost does not cool and the amenities offered needed the gas grill. However, none of this prevented us from having an excellent stay and that the communication with Max was very kind at all times.

Viki and Santi were extraordinary hosts, their kindness and their prompt help in any situation presented, in addition the accommodation met all expectations, I would return on all occasions back!

Words cannot describe Gabby’s house, it was AMAZING! For prior vacations, we have stayed in houses in Playa Carrillo, Samara, and Quepos and Casa Del Sol by-far tops ALL of those houses. From the million dollar view, to the quality of the build/house, to the AWESOME DECOR, to the on-site hosts (Henry and Zeidy), ALL of it was top notch! When you’re in the backyard/in the pool, of course you feel like you’re at the beach, but that continues inside with all of the homey beach house decor! And did I mention the AC??? Ice cold, perfect for coming in from a long day fishing or beach! Next mention is Henry and Zeidy, UNBELIEVABLY welcoming and attentive, yet they know how to respect privacy. If you’ve never stayed at a house with daily cleaning, it’s a GAME CHANGER. Any issue or request, taken care of immediately. And not to mention Zeidy’s cooking! We had 3 lunches and 2 dinners prepared by Zeidy, simply delicious! We are even talking about booking again during the dry season!

Perfect location. Matan is a 10-star host, always helping me and providing me with what I needed. Fully equipped house and spectacular pool. Good internet for those who, like me, work online. When I return to Santa Teresa, I know where to stay.

From start to finish, Mar’s place was absolutely perfect! I wholeheartedly recommend everything about it. The space is full of charm and incredibly peaceful—an ideal retreat for couples traveling with their pets. It’s just as beautiful as the photos, if not more. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to feel at home: a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, cozy spaces for relaxing, and a super comfortable bed for a great night’s sleep. The internet connection is excellent, making it a great option if you need to work remotely or stream content. One of the coolest features is that the lighting throughout the home can be controlled from your smartphone—such a modern and convenient touch! The private pool is a total highlight—perfect for cooling off on a warm day or simply lounging around in a serene setting. Every little detail has been considered to make your stay smooth and enjoyable. Don’t hesitate to book this place—you’ll love it just as much as we did!

we had a great stay at Laurie's place. From initial booking to checkout, thr communication was excellent. Also the place was perfect for us. We spent more time in the home and in the pool than I had expected because it was peaceful and relaxing.
