Kort avstand til fri natur både sommer og vinter eller preparerte løyper, kan nevne Senja, Målselv Fjellandsby, samt at Aursfjord i Malangen er egnet for havfiske hele året og isfiske innerst i fjorden på vinteren. The area is perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing and boat trips. The hut is small, cosy and minimalistic. Just outside the door there is benches, tabels and a barbeque/campfire spot.
