Adventure Home: Giant Sequoias, Waterfalls, Hiking

SusanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay—this place is a true hidden gem. That said, here are a few helpful things to know before you go. Google Maps is the most reliable for finding the house, as Apple Maps can miss some of the smaller roads past Redwood. It might be worth asking for turn-by-turn directions in advance, just to be safe. And when you arrive, look for a minty green house—it was previously brown, so older photos may be misleading. One of the best parts of this getaway is how close you feel to nature. While many of the popular hikes are about 30 minutes to an hour away. The house is warm and inviting, with a balcony that offers a stunning view—especially in the early mornings. The living room is cozy, though it does get a bit warm in the late afternoon as the sun pours in. Still, it's a perfect space to unwind after a day outside. On weekends, there’s a cute café in nearby Cedar Slopes that serves coffee and lunch— And on Friday nights Pierpoint Bar and Grill has karaoke!

Shipping container cabin forest retreat for 1-4

In a very quiet subdivision of mountain chalets a short walk from a lovely pond. Very practical having the two bedrooms on separate floors, providing separation even though the total square footage is small.

Sequoia/Kings Deluxe Camping. EV charging.

JohnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great location, right off of Hwy 180. About 30 minutes from entrance to KCNP. Do your research regarding distance to Roads End (KCNP) and Congress Trail (SNP). Sleeping area was plenty spacious and bed was comfortable. Toilet is awesome and both shower and toilet were well lit (motion sensors too). Shower area drains well. Kitchen area has everything you need (we didn’t cook breakfast). Grill worked great. Walk the grounds at dusk. We spotted and watched an owl our first night. Perfect home base for our trips into the two national parks.

Katherine's place made for a great hub for us to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon while we stayed there. She was a great host and very responsive. We're already talking about another trip back for next year!

Three Rivers Cozy Mountain Getaway🌺

LindseyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A great place to use as base for exploring Sequoia Nat’l Park. Jana is proactive about local area suggestions for provisions and dining. She also has all basic provisions you could need upon arrival as listed. A nice big deck for afternoon relaxing with a great view of Moro Rock just right outside your door. The drive up is a bit intimidating on the first pass but after that it becomes comfortable. We’d happily stay here again if in the area.

Sierra Vista

Richard's property is the perfect base from which to hike Mt. Whitney, the Alabama Hills, or drive to Death Valley, all of which we did. The property is large and private with lots of trees, plants, and wildlife. Cheerful surroundings. Quiet desert setting. Great covered front porch with rocking chairs! Home is well-stocked and there are three bedrooms and two baths. Very clean. The air-conditioning wasn't great so know that when staying during hot days. But, I'm guessing most people will not be lingering inside while in such a location. Highly recommended.
