"The Window to the Sun" is a different house, combining comfort with simplicity in direct contact with the Historic District of Alfama. "The Window to the Sun" is located very close to the viewpoint of the Portas do Sol, the Castelo de São Jorge, the Pantheon, the Fado Museum, getting a few meters of transport, shops, cafes, restaurants, fado houses, bars, flea market, museums, art galleries, craft shops ... is in the center of your stay perfect. Although the arrival there is a setback to pick up the key elsewhere and take time , everything went well. Mr. Carlos was very active and attentive to any request, super kind. My son and I were well accommodated and slept very well , due to the cold and rain of the time the bed was well stocked with blankets and had heater in the room. I definitely recommend it.

we had a lovely time at George's place, it truly is a special property and has everything you might want for a romantic getaway! little note, as George mentions the drive up to the house is steep and can be a bit tricky to reverse back if a car comes towards you. while the house feels private and relaxing, you do have neighbouring houses and can hear cars or the neighbours around. overall a lovely stay in a house that was very beautifully designed and more spacious than it looks in the pictures and full of charm. George was a very welcoming and responsive host!! thank you

Emily and Gary have created a wonderful haven. We had a lovely stay. The space is so beautiful and well thought out. It’s definitely one of the nicest Airbnb’s we have ever stayed in. It was lovely being able to see the sea and watch the sun go down over the pool. The pool is gorgeous, we didn’t use it much as it was very windy for a lot of our stay, but it was great on the hottest day we were there for. We found it extremely peaceful and relaxing which was just what we wanted as a stop off to chill for a bit between Lisbon and Porto.
