We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful and clean - looked just like the pictures. Walking distance to great restaurants. Will definitely stay again! The host is super responsive and helpful.

Oh my where to start!! Do not stay anywhere else besides here!! Dixie is an all star host! Extremely accommodating, makes the most delicious cookies, has the most beautiful, relaxing home, a beautiful pond that’s fully stocked of fish, has an adorable doggy named huckleberry that gets the zoomies, she was so fast at answering questions, asking what we needed, and even brought down a fire pit & the sticks for the kiddos to make s’mores, my friends from Florida & Indiana said they will 100% be booking again! Thank you so much Dixie for making our first meet up an outstanding one!! 🫶🏼 I might even just book to stay here for a night away from my own house even tho I live in town, it’s that good!!! So don’t waste time book here!!!

Great place right down in the water. My only complaint was that the internet kept going out. Other than that, super cute place & great location.

This is the second time we have stayed at this place and it is the best place in town. We slept very well during the evening and enjoyed the amazing views during the day. Location is ideal and the parking garage guaranteed downtown parking in cape. Definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved staying here!! Very clean and quiet, peaceful and beautiful!! Everything we needed was at the place and everything was super cute and very clean. I really appreciated Tammy’s little binder of instructions and recommendations for places to go and enjoyed the coffee bar. They really thought of everything!! Pictures looked like the stairs were outside, but I was pleasantly surprised to see they are indoors. I will say for future guests, GPS (we use the Waze app) lead us to a completely different private address. We passed the street the place was on so I easily knew where to go, just don’t trust GPS! Street sign is very visible thankfully and be prepared for gravel roads and a fun backwoods experience with gorgeous scenery. We loved it, so breathtaking, secluded and just what we needed! Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay and within walking distance to great restaurant. Deb was amazing to work with and very responsive. Beds were comfortable and we had a great time. We will definitely stay here again.

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great

We were in town for a girls get away with some hiking and Twisted Sister was perfect! Such a beautiful setting and so close to the places we wanted to go. It was super easy to get in, very clean, and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves as we prefer to do. We also enjoyed strawberries from Flamm Orchard, and great hikes at nearby Little Grand Canyon and Cove Hollow, plus of course Giant City State Park. Candace was an excellent hostess. She lives next door but gave us complete privacy. And when I had questions or wanted recommendations she was super responsive. It made us feel safe and cared for. It is so nice that she shares her beautiful property with guests in this way. We will be back!

Indoor pool was great! Travel size shampoo and conditioner were provided in all bathrooms, as well as plenty of towels. Nice house right on the lake!

Absolute perfect family rental! Seemed like they thought of everything from outdoor games and water fun to every amenity needed inside also. Location is quiet and super safe, seems to be on a side of the lake that’s not full of partiers etc. Fishing was great, the patio and decks are well lit at night, good phone service, close to all the good stuff in southern Illinois, etc. our new family favorite

Elizabeth’s airbnb was amazing for our group! It was in a great location only 2 mins from downtown Cape Girardeau, and was perfect for a larger group.

Our stay at this lake house was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches and attention to detail. The living room’s large windows, provided breathtaking views of the lake. It had every appliance and utensil we needed, along with thoughtful extras like spices, oil, and coffee filters. The bathrooms were equipped with ample towels and toiletries. We enjoyed peaceful mornings on the deck, sipping coffee, cruising the lake, and watching the wildlife. The quiet surroundings made it easy to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!!

The house is super cute, the layout is so weird but cool. There is a step down from the master bedroom, clear signs that there is a step, but we both fell on our faces haha master bed is super high up, they provide a step stool. This house is not for anyone that cannot handle stairs. It is a workout walking down to the lake and back up. They provide a charcoal grill. But make sure you bring your own starter or fluid. They provide a fire pit but bring your own wood. There is a propane grill but bring your own propane. Only downside was we could not park the truck and boat in the drive way, and had to use the grass. It is not very easy to park a boat trailer in this area. The patio in back was amazing, very cozy. Fell asleep watching and listening to the rain. Kitchen is well stocked with all cookware, lots of condiments left on the fridge from past guests. AND the best part- the sound system!!!! We loved this place and hope to come back soon.

Enjoyed the house. Each of the bedrooms had a closet to hang clothes, but no drawers available; plan accordingly. The only ensuite bathroom is the upstairs bedroom with two queen beds. The lower level bathroom is where the washer & dryer are. Main kitchen had a Keurig, plus a coffee grinder & a brewer. Also had a microwave & toaster oven. Food delivery was available thru UberEats & Grubhub. The outdoor spaces were the highlight. Loved having 2 covered decks with morning shade. Next time, I might bring a lounge chair, as the deck seating wasn’t very comfortable and I longer to kick back and put my feet up. Fenced yard was great for the dog. As the photos show, it's steep. The trail down had some bad ruts from rain runoff, but were easy to avoid. The stairs were an alternative, but since they are built to hug the hillside, the stairs have varying heights and depths. The dock was fantastic. Parking was plentiful. Overall, a great spot for relaxing & enjoying the outdoors!
