Family-friendly holiday rentals in Markermeer

We had a wonderful stay in this fantastically beautiful house in Eefde! The accommodation is not only super stylish and furnished with great attention to detail, but also incredibly cozy – you immediately feel at home. Everything was sparkling clean and perfectly prepared. Surrounded by fields, you really live in the middle of nature and can enjoy the absolute peace. Never before have I experienced an accommodation that was even more beautiful in real life than in the photos! We were particularly delighted by the loving, local welcome gifts such as fresh apple juice, beer and homemade jam - such a warm gesture! The hostess is very friendly, helpful and available at all times. For us, it was an all-around perfect experience, and we would come back anytime. Thank you Aljanneke! 🤗

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the apartment for a weekend and felt very comfortable. With the bikes you could easily reach the nearby metro station and we had a good time in Amsterdam. The landlords were very friendly and always easy to reach. I highly recommend this place for Amsterdam stays.

Highly recommend this sweet little farm in a peaceful village. We loved the sheep and lambs and even got to watch a little one be born! Instructions on yurt temperature management, wood stove and wood fired hot tub were clear and easy. We borrowed bikes and rode through the tulip fields to the beach. Such a nice family and surroundings after the bustle of Amsterdam!

We enjoyed our stay in the tiny house very much! Great for families, with beautiful nature and walking paths starting at your doorstep.

Had a great weekend. Enjoyed the nice garden with various seats and of course the wellness. Cottage really has all the comforts and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful quiet area and a 20-30 minute drive from various nice cities. Joop and Thea are very friendly and are there for you immediately. In short, highly recommended!

Had a very nice stay. Clean house and all necessities were present, great! Furthermore, beautiful garden with nice trampoline and we enjoyed the hot tub, which is also wonderful with rain. All I wanted to know in advance is that the garden is directly adjacent to the family's garden. This made it feel a little less private. Fortunately, he was very friendly, so that was fine. Furthermore, Hari was friendly and responsive, so that was nice too. Many thanks to Hari and the rest of the family!

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

I’m emotional about leaving this absolute treasure of a rental- wish we could stay forever. We booked Darley’s on the recommendation of well-traveled local friends who literally *moved* to Hilversum after staying here and told us it was the best Airbnb of all time. (These friends also know that I’m finicky about vacation rentals and generally prefer hotels.) I’m SO glad we listened to them. This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful, well-appointed, lavish, thoughtfully stocked, gorgeously furnished, comfortable Airbnb ever, and now I’m probably ruined for all others. It could have been half as incredible for twice the price - we’d still be delighted. I’ve never felt more at home while traveling. We had all the privacy, comfort, provisions, fresh flowers and fruit, random fun perks, great water pressure, immaculate cleanliness, inspiring corners, luxurious linens, and other copious supplies we didn’t know we needed. Thank you, Marielise, for the Airbnb experience of a lifetime. WOW.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at the Farm with Patries and Mike! We had the most amazing time staying at Patries and Mike’s farm. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. Patries and Mike are truly exceptional hosts – warm, generous, and full of heart. You can feel how much love and care they put into their place and into every guest they welcome. The farm itself is a little slice of paradise. Surrounded by nature, animals, and peace, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with what really matters. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds – and especially the proud rooster announcing each new day with great enthusiasm! There’s a real sense of authenticity and warmth here that’s hard to put into words – you simply have to experience it. Thank you, Patries and Mike, for opening your hearts and your home to us. We left with full hearts, new inspiration, and the feeling that we had just spent time with old friends. We can’t wait to come back!

The hospitality of Mrs. Triena was like a dream. She greeted us very nicely, showed us around the cottage and offered various attractions. We are very grateful for such hospitality and kindness. The area is beautiful - full of greenery, rural animals only complemented this wonderful landscape. The cottage is very cozy and clean. The place had everything we needed for everyday functioning. We are enchanted by everything we have seen in the area and we will definitely return for, I hope, a longer stay. Thank you!

Wonderful weekend in Dwarsgracht, despite the rain We had a fantastic weekend in the cottage on the Dwarsgracht, despite the weather not always cooperating. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and the location is beautiful — even with rain it is enjoyable in this area. What really made the stay special was Eva's hospitality. She was incredibly relaxed and open, even with our animal gang. We immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It's so nice when you come somewhere and find that you are not only tolerated, but really seen and appreciated. Thank you Eva, for your warmth and hospitality! We'd love to come back — hopefully with some more sun next time. 🌦️🐾

Unreal Airbnb! Perfect location. Super clean. The place had absolutely everything you needed. Andrew has been the best Airbnb host I have ever had. He goes above and beyond for his guests and is so helpful for anything.

I just love the area, so that's why I chose this place. It's an adorable little cottage on their estate, with plenty of peace and quiet. In terms of amenities, I didn't miss anything. Well, actually if they added a screen to one of the windows for some bug-free fresh air, that would be fantastic. But it was a serene setting and I could take walks close by in the beautiful surrounding woods. They had a nice big desk for me to work on. Shops and restaurants aren't that far away, either.

The house is bright and located in a beautiful garden. The location is ideal for exploring the landscape of the Schoorlsen dunes by bike or on foot. Groet offers a few great restaurants that are not so touristy. Ideal for individualists who love some peace and relaxation. If we come back to the area, we would love to stop here again.

A week to relax among the bustle of the birds. In rainy weather, there is plenty of space inside, and in good weather, a very pleasant garden to sit in. There is plenty to do in the area, and shops are close by. Everything is available for you to cook yourself. Baking pizza in the pizza oven was also fun to do. Definitely recommended. We felt at ease.

Great accommodation and great hosts. We had a lot of fun and felt comfortable. The accommodation was accessible by boat and we could go shopping by boat. It was a real adventure. The accommodation and the pool were clean. Everything was fine for us ☀️

We had a wonderful Pentecost weekend. Annet had hung up garlands and put down a present because we were celebrating my daughter's birthday. There were also cookies and fresh eggs. The cottage is on a quiet campsite with friendly staff. The beach is nearby and you can enjoy cycling in the area.

Great location. Walking distance to Cocksdorp. At the edge of the park, therefore a nice view and tranquility. Easily traveled by car. Three bathrooms, so good for groups (in our case three families) and yet privacy and private place.

We enjoyed this beautiful place very much! Everything was perfect, our hosts were very helpful, they always responded to our requests really fast. Location is absolutely stunning, beautiful nature, so peaceful and calm! We recommend this awesome place 100%!

The cottage is on a small-scale green park, where you can go with your dog. In fact, it was Pentecost weekend and I have never seen so many dogs. All of them are well-behaved and only friendly dogs. With a few minutes' walk, you are in the forest, where - in some places - the dog can also go off the line. There is also a communal swimming pool that you can use. The cottage is comfortable, the bed is good and also in a nice place where you have no view. Communication with the hostess, Jacq, is perfect. She responds immediately to any question. Thank you for the nice days.
