Awesome place to stay for the family and the neighbors with kids were great!

Very responsive hosts. Instructions to get in were clear. Home is stacked with everything you could need and more with labeled drawers and closets. Puzzles, games, toiletries, baggies, storage containers, laundry options, every kitchen appliance needed for food and drink, many towels and linens. Newer seeming couches in main room were comfy. While it felt like fall during our visit, many options for water activities available. Pup enjoyed swimming and helping us fish off the pier. Nearby corner store gas station has many grocery options, deli, and everything you likely need for fishing, cocktails, and even had a birthday cake. Definitely worth the drive to explore Goodman County Park/Story Falls. Peaceful lake property. Definitely would consider booking again!

Jeff & Angie were great hosts...both stopped by to talk with us & asked us about our family & gave great suggestions on places to visit. Angie sent detailed texts with all the info we needed before we arrived and before we departed. The place had everything we needed & much more: including kayaks/SUP boards, paddle boats, fishing dock, campfire wood, charcoal grill, & much more and was so peaceful! I even bought a cute shirt from their merch selection to advertise and tell my friends about it!!

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay over the past weekend. We wanted to stay in the L’Anise area, since we have a friend that lives in the town, and this was the best option. The unit is clean, has an amazing view of Lake Superior and is very spacious. I was very impressed with the unit overall. I would gladly book again!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful log-style cabin on the edge of Lake Superior. The craftsmanship of the cabin is impressive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Each morning, We woke up to breathtaking views of the shimmering water, which was a truly magical way to start the day. The peacefulness of the lake and the surrounding nature made it the perfect place to unwind. We spent countless hours simply relaxing in the back room, soaking in the serene landscape. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway surrounded by the beauty of Lake Superior. I can’t wait to come back!

We loves our stay! The home is SO cute. And every detail was considered to make the home dog friendly. I love the proactive communication from Jacky to make sure we were taken care of at every turn. This home is the perfect quaint cottage... and feela JUST at home! We loved EVERY minute of our stay. The lake views were also incredible!

This house was exactly what we were looking for when booking for my bachelorette trip. It was private, relaxing, and was surrounded by beautiful views. Unfortunately it was not warm enough for the pool during our stay, but the hot tube and sauna were amazing. The cliff at the water’s edge was even better than the pictures. Cheryl was always on top of responding whenever anything came up, or for any questions we had before and during the stay. She was an amazing host, and I would definitely stay here again when going to the UP.

From the moment we arrived, Cheryl was lovely! Her place is very nice, clean and had all of the amenities needed for a great stay. A private B&B, on the water, and just 20 minutes from Houghton, what more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Cheryl is fun to visit, kind, and informative. The continental breakfast, hot tub and sauna were highlights for us. There are many extras here a large family or group could keep entertained with (instruments, blue tooth speaker, karaoke machine, roku TV, snowshoes, sleds for sledding, pool, hot tub, sauna, nature trails). Parking a truck and trailer for snowmobiling is effortless. It is a nice base camp for snowmobiling groups that will be trailering to their spot.

La Rose is a hidden gem in the Keweenaw bay and I'm so glad to stumble upon it. The backyard has a perfect view of Lake Superior giving you panoramic views of sun and moon rises. Cheryl is very friendly and she cares about the local community. She's so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I would definitely go back.

Our family had a wonderful time! We enjoyed fishing and reading by the lake everyday and there was a beautiful hummingbird that would come and visit too! Our son enjoyed swimming, kayaking as well as finding frogs and turtles. The house is in the perfect location for exploring pictured rocks and the plentiful waterfalls!

Beautiful historic lake front home with plenty of space for my family. Comfortable and filled with history as outlined in write up about the home's origins and previous owners. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises each morning of our springtime stay. Great communication from Paul making this a great experience!

Everything was like the listing said. Everything was great we had a great time. The loons calling was great. Lake was Crystal clear we caught bass, sunfish, blue gills,an perch. Was a great place will definitely return again. Crystal was a great person very helpful

Stayed here for our 5th year in a row for our annual ice fishing trip, Monica and Morley are excellent hosts and have always been great to us, would recommend to anyone!

we had such a wonderful time. There were night lights for our little ones and loads of blankets to choose from. Sand toys were available as well as puzzles and a coloring book for the kids. We had everything we needed!

This is a charming place right on the lake. Great location for kids (shallow and gradual water depth in the lake). It can be difficult to find, so map it out ahead of time. Get gas at the nearest town before attempting to find it. The outside furniture is dated and could use an upgrade. The all weather outdoor cushions should probably be put away and brought out per use (so they stay nice). A propane fireplace on the deck would be a step up. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I hope to bring my family here again. There are other neighbors and houses next door to this place. I was unaware of this when booking. It wasn't an issue. but if you are expecting complete solitude-keep in mind that you will have neighbors. There is only one bathroom and the shower head pressure is weak. We love our showers, so we were a little bit dissapointed with that. Great location and a wonderful array of water toys (SUP boards, kayaks, peddle boat, and skif).

It's a great house for perfect vacation! We really enjoyed kayaking in private lake and firepit is great enough for large group. We definitely recommend this for friends abd families.

This is a wonderful house for a base to explore the Keweenaw Peninsula. It is in a very quiet location overlooking a gorgeous bay with amazing sunrises. All amenities were as listed and worked well...especially the internet. The beds were very comfortable. There were more than enough dishes, etc. Jodi was very responsive and accommodating when a minor problem occurred. We particularly enjoyed our tour of the Quincy Copper Mine. We found a fresh fish store about 20 miles south (Freddy's) and Petersons across from the mine (20 miles north).
