Cabin was just as described! Loved the rocking chairs in the sunroom and the hot tub was amazing! Although we didn’t utilize it, the convenience of firewood available for sale on the property was a great touch!

What an amazing gem! Tucked away, but with plenty of amenities that you would fine at a modern, big-city hotel. Great family space, with privacy, but also big family spaces. A perfect fit for our family team in town for a race. We will be back!

I stayed at Jesse's place with three friends for a girls' weekend. The place was perfect for us! We were looking for a place surrounded by nature and this was great! The lake and surrounding area are beautiful and views from the hot tub on the deck were exactly what we were looking for!

me and my boys had a fantastic experience staying at the cabin. Beautiful scenery, and lots of fresh air and quiet. we took some beautiful walks around and went fishing was a great stay.

We loved the privacy and cleanliness of the cabin. The view of the lake was great and the cabin was located between Marquette and Munising so we were able to visit both areas conveniently. The cabin was well stocked with essentials which was great!

Walt is a great host and the property has an amazing view. I’m sure it’s great year around but it looked like there was even more available in the summer. Feels like the middle of nowhere but just 15 minutes from town if you need something. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

Scott was a great host very personable and very responsive. That cabin is very nice well maintained, peaceful and quiet. Very close to the UTV and ATV trails.

We had a great time at Ruth Lake in cabin 9. The cabin was very clean and easy to access and lock. Cabin is right out by the lake. So beautiful views in the morning and throughout the day, particularly in the fall. We used the communal sauna right next to the cabin as well which was very nice and quite fun to fire up. Location is great too if you're looking for a remote U.P experience. Craig Lake State Park is right next to the resort which is rather remote. Overall, we were genuinely very impressed and satisfied with the cabin and location for the price. Additionally, Dax was very responsive and accommodating throughout our weekend at the cabin. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay, beautiful views and not too far from Marquette, even the views on the drive up were beautiful. Becky was very fast to respond, clear communication and made everything simple. She even checked in when it got cold outside to make sure we knew how to work the furnace to keep things warm.

Such an amazing place.. my husband, son and I stayed here last summer while I was pregnant with my daughter. We just finished up our second trip, this time our daughter was 7 months old and her & my son had an absolute blast. It is so relaxing for parents, and so fun for kiddos. Our 6 year old son played outside from sun up to sun down, and then came inside to play with the legos and stuffies he found around the cabin. Never a minute of boredom, especially for the water babies. It’s also really nice having everything so close together. We could get both kiddos to bed and go to the sauna or sit around the fire while still being able to hear them. Probably the most peaceful vacation destination I’ve ever been to. We cry every time we leave. Cannot wait to come back again!! Also, the hosts..absolutely amazing! I was kind of worried about having hosts on site, because I really like my privacy but they’re so kind and helpful that it was actually nicer when they were there vs not

They’ve thought of everything you need. We loved the beautiful river view, the town businesses, and hiking in the area.

My family had a great weekend trip here. The house is located in a peaceful setting and was well equipped with everything you could want. We will definitely be coming back

A great weekend get away! If you’re looking for secluded, off the grid, and QUIET, this is your spot. You will be surrounded by nothing but the woods and yourself here. The cabin it self was very clean. The wood stove heats it up FAST so be aware to not over do it. Over all 10/10 would recommend and stay again. Ps it can be a bit confusing getting there but as long as you follow your location using the satellite option on iPhones you can find the cabin on the satellite view and follow the roads easily that way.

barbie was a great host. Her and her husband live in the house about 100' away, so they are available for quick response if you need anything. the cabin was clean and comfy. the view of the lake was amazing and barbie had kayaks and a row boat available for us to use. unfortunately, it was a bit chilly out during our work stay and didn't get to use the lake. getting to the cabin....check your messages from barbie! I didn't and just used our GPS with the address and it tried to take us on a closed off 2 track, then to E. Johnson lake rd. we did end up finding it though. later I realized Barbie sent clear directions to get there. totally our fault for not checking her messages. we would definitely stay with barbie again.

Wow what a place. Great getaway on a private lake. Clean, well decorated with all the amenities. Very responsive and helpful. Will definitely come back again. My family loved this place

great location and good deal considering the location, few improvements i would suggest, installing a dishwasher, since there is propane gas heating on the property if two or more people are using water at the same time, you may run out of hot water pretty quickly, may need bigger water heater or an electric one if not installed already. i am splitting hair but will make this property even better than it already is. small suggestions.

Although the weather was a bit chilly and rainy, the heater kept the space warm and inviting. There’s also a set of stairs that leads you down to the riverbank, where you can sit and unwind right by the water. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed for cooking, including pots, dishes, and utensils. A thoughtful touch was the candles they provided — we lit them in the evening, and they added a warm glow and a lovely scent to the entire space. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we’d definitely come back again!

This is a slice of heaven. The fall colors around the lake were breathtaking. Nice cabin, beautiful location, good host.
