Beachfront holiday rental in Marske-by-the-Sea

We had a lovely break in Saltburn but Peter’s place absolutely made it for us. Even though it is a huge apartment, it felt cosy. The beds were so comfortable. And a well equipped kitchen. We loved enjoying a morning coffee taking in the view, and my nephew enjoyed beating everyone at air hockey! Highly recommend Peter’s accommodation, and we’ll definitely be back.

My friend and I really enjoyed our time at Kate's. The place was lovely, really clean, and really easy to explore the rest of Whitby from. Kate's communications were really helpful and clear. She sent us a helpful guide about what to do in Whitby, we particularly loved the walking routes (we personally thought the walk / hike from Whitby to Sandsend and then onto Kettleness via the Cleveland Way was absolutely amazing!) There's a really nice pub called The Endeavour less than 5 minutes walk from the cottage, very friendly and cozy, good range of drinks, and lots of friendly dogs.

We really loved the location and view of Harbour View for our 2 nights in Whitby! Ruth's place was very comfortable and she was helpful with any questions we had. One does needs to be fit for lugging suitcases up and down steep steps to the 2nd floor. The apartment was very clean, well-fitted and a great place to relax after a day sight-seeing. We found Ruth's specific instructions for finding the apartment from the train station helpful and necessary (all the little closes and narrow alleys). We'd stay there again if we ever return!

We happened to arrive a little bit early and chatted to the lovely housekeeper as she was leaving (apologies didn’t catch name) and she was absolutely delightful and so friendly we immediately were made to feel at home. The cottage was perfect for what we needed.. a relaxing stay by the seafront in our favourite village. We stay in Staithes every year and it was our first time at Shangri-La and would thoroughly recommend. The bed in the main bedroom is the best we’ve ever slept on!! Super clean and well equipped cottage. Would stay again x

We absolutley loved it! the caravan felt so peaceful and quiet and it also had everything needed to feel right at home straight away :) our dog also enjoyed the beach walks every day a short distance away. We are already planning our next trip to hopefully be able to come back in the future. Thank you for being so friendly and helpful.

I’m originally from Hartlepool and have wanted to stay in one of the houses on the sea front since I was a little girl. This was a dream come true waking up to such a beautiful view. The house was perfect and we felt right at home. Everything we could have needed was provided and the WiFi was great. Alicia and Ross couldn’t not have been friendlier and more helpful. Thank you for a perfect stay.

The house in Robin Hoods Bay provided the perfect place for a family holiday. Ideally located in the lower bay near to the beach. Parking nearby a real bonus. It was more spacious than expected and characterfully decorated. The top floor boat bed was a delight. The well equipped kitchen allowed enjoyable meal preparation. Good quality bed linen and towels. If returning to RHB wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else.

The apartment is well situated, easy to find & has a designated parking space. It overlooks the river, & the walk into Whitby takes about 15minutes. The accommodation is clean, uncluttered, well equipped, and the bedding and towels are pristine. We highly recommend it.

we had a great time here. We would definitely recommend! Very clean, spacious, centrally located apartment. if the weather wasn't very good you would always be able to just stay indoors there, watch the boats coming and going outside. Great place!

Lovely caravan all as advertised clean and tidy nice golf course at the back quiet and sea view but with a view of wind turbines overall though excellent

Sarah's accommodation is absolutely lovely with a subtle seaside charm tastefully executed in a sympathetic way, charming spaces throughout the cottage. Brilliant facilities including all hot drinks like tea and coffee including decaff and caffeine varients even beach chairs and buckets and spades. Also a very unique outdoor space having the sun terrace type garden just adjacent to the property. This is on the picturesque path that leads to the harbour front and the Cod &Lobster Pub. Will be returning very soon.

We loved our stay at the cottage! It is convenient for local shops, restaurants and cafes. We parked over by Co-op as no spaces nearby but it was only a 5 minute walk to get to the cottage which is easy to find. Highly recommend and hope we get to come back and visit soon. Whitby is a great place to bring your dog along too as we found lots of places are dog friendly.

Our family break at Sunnybank was amazing. What a beautiful house in an beautiful and peaceful location. Fantastic views from all the rooms. Great communication from the hosts. Was thoroughly enjoyed by three generations... Just wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely love to return to Sunnybank. Just a little word of warning about the steep road up to Sunnybank. It is much easier to initially drive past the sharp right entrance to the drive, turn around and enter with a downhill left turn. Will also need to reverse out of the driveway. Was fine for us, but can always park on the road below if there is space. Also, take extra care when crossing the road, especially with children. Was fairly quiet on our easter visit but I imagine it is much busier in the Summer months. Many thanks to Alex and Ann for letting us stay in your lovely home x

The Lobster Pot is a wonderful gem of a retreat. It was just like the photos, clean, cosy and warm. It was ideal for a short stay, with everything i needed including good wifi. The beach is a stones throw away as is the Ship Inn. I am a mature person and travelled alone but felt safe and secure tucked away in the grounds of a private property. I would highly recommend The Lobster Pot and its beautiful location. I appreciated the thoughful gifts of wine, snacks local information, tea, coffe etc. I didnt have time to explore the picturesque walks, other than the beach but next time hopefully I will. I intend to visit again. Very relaxing.

Perfect location and house, felt like home. We all loved it and made the early birthday celebration just fab. Couldn’t ask for better hosts and communication. We will be back for sure!
