A gorgeous stopping off place for us en route from the Isle of Skye to the south of England. Particularly loved the living space on the first floor, the 2 bathrooms with rainfall showers and the comfortable beds. The house is located on a quiet back street in a very pretty village-would have been a great base for walking had we had more time. Barry was super responsive, very flexible regarding check in and check out and gave us some good recommendations for dinner. Couldn’t fault it and have already recommended to friends.

What a little gem, an amazing find & exactly what we needed for our stay in Kirkby Lonsdale. The cottage was extremely well presented with a lot of thought put into the decor & just as it was described & looked like in the pictures. We had a very comfortable & relaxing stay with our friends & their 2 dogs. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay & explore in or near Kirkby Lonsdale. Thank you David for all the little extras, they were much appreciated & such a lovely surprise. We loved your cottage & have thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

Amazing place, just what we needed. Good selection of utensils in the kitchen. To make it even better a pair of scissors and perhaps a few more glasses would have been great. The house was generally clean but there were areas with cob webs, very heavy dust on the fan in the main bathroom and the light above the sink (just for reference to the cleaning team. It did not detract from it being a great place. Lots of travellers this week on their way to Appleby, heavy police presence. No trouble at all encountered.

This was the most sensational location. The property itself is stunning and the surroundings so picturesque. We wanted to just switch off and get away from it all for a couple of days and thats exactly what we were able to do. Tony and Barbara are lovely and so very helpful, we loved learning about the history of the buildings and the Mill Pond. We will be recommending this property to friends and family. Fantastic stay at Anne Elizabeth's lodge. Cosy cottage in a beautiful location. Everything you need is there at the cottage. Would love to return sometime. Apart from the lodge being ideal, its in an area where there is so much to see and do, the lake district being only 40 minutes drive away as well of course as the beautiful Dales where the lodge is located. Would highly recommend. A massive thank you to Anne.
