House holiday rentals in Mauzac-et-Grand-Castang

Everything about this place is top class. The house is absolutely lovely, beautifully furnished in a way that feels both traditional and homely. The location is stunning, a gorgeous commune surrounded by other lovely little towns with lots to see and do. The pool and the garden are fantastic, so nice that we actually ventured out far less than we had originally planned. Our daughters, aged 4 and 2, wanted to move in permanently! Last but not least, Andy and Jacqui are the perfect hosts, super friendly and helpful. This was our first holiday since having kids and we are so, so pleased we chose here. We would love to return.

We had a lovely stay at Marc and Denise's, who are great hosts. The setting is superb, the accommodation is charming, it has everything you need. Feel free to book their table d'hôte, you'll love it! It is also very well located, you will find many tourist getaways nearby. We highly recommend their cottage :)

Nathalie and Tim were such extraordinary hosts! My family and I had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home! The house itself is perfect for cooking, relaxing, and spending time together. We were able to enjoy the wonderful gardens and the pool all day and watch the sunset from our patio each evening. Such a stunning and relaxing atmosphere. The best part was how well taken care of we felt all week. Nathalie helped organize a tour of local vineyards, scheduled a wine tasting by the pool, and cooked dinner for us all on 2 evenings. She also had great local restaurant and market recommendations! We also loved our morning chocolatines and croissants! They were extremely kind and accommodating throughout the trip - delivering bottles of wine when we ran short, lending us a pot so that we could cook a big stew one night, and even working a miracle helping me removing a grenadine stain from a white dress I bought at a local market. I can’t recommend this wonderful home enough!

Lovely modern home in a beautiful rustic setting, with chickens, cherry trees and a sweet little truffle hunting dog Lubie on site. Very gracious hosts who communicated well in English. Many charming towns nearby and 12-15 minutes from a good supermarket and shops in Le Bugue. The campground next door was like a cruise ship some evenings but all noise stopped by 11 pm. We loved everything about our stay. Merci!

Fabulous gite in a gorgeous setting.

Such an idyllic stay! The gîte is perfectly located amidst peaceful surroundings, you really feel like you’re in the middle of the French countryside. The garden is enormous, and was a lovely area for our little girl to run around. The pool area is very clean and looks new, located within the grounds , it’s a little walk from the gite but this is great for feeling of privacy. The gite itself is well equipped, clean, spacious and remains cool even when it’s very warm outside. A home away from home. It’s very easy to park outside the front. The local village is very picturesque with restaurants, boulangerie, mini supermarket. It’s a quick drive down, but was too far for us to walk, especially in the heat. Sarah was a fantastic host, was very easy to contact and responsive. Such a wonderful introduction to the Dordogne region for my family and I100% would recommend. Merci beaucoup pour tout, Sarah. Everything was as expected.We had a really peaceful and relaxing stay.

Beautiful little terrace house in Belves within walking distance of the centre of the village. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants within. Five minute walk. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The steps to the outside terrace are very steep and could be slippery if damp but the area is lovely to relax in. Lots to see and places to visit in this beautiful part of France.

The best lodging we've had on this month long trip to France. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, private but close to all the things, the best sleep I've had in years, wonderfully appointed kitchen. Heads up that there is a washer but no dryer, but we managed fine with the very large drying rack provided. Would not hesitate to recommend, I wish I had spent more of my time here.

You couldn't wish for a better host than Arnaud! Proactively check if everything is to your liking, or inform if help is needed. Via the app to respect your peace and privacy, but take the time for a conversation if you want. The accommodation is new and cozy with an eye for details. We felt right at home there! The thick walls keep heat out and you can have a good night's sleep in the lovely beds and good sound insulation. The location is conveniently located in relation to the many attractions in the area. Much has already been written about it in the introduction to Arnoud and Elodie, but if you want to swim in peace, relax on the side and lie in the shade under the trees with a catering facility, go to Pont de Vicq in Le Buisson de Cadouin. The town of Monpazier is also definitely worth a visit! Normally, supermarkets are miles away, but in this place, there is one 900 meters away. Arnoud, Elodie, thank you for the wonderful time!!

We are delighted with the welcome from our host Jeannine and our stay. It is an ideal, peaceful and charming accommodation, well-equipped, to discover the surroundings: castles, most beautiful villages in France, gastronomy. We highly recommend this listing. We obviously do not forget the delicious walnut cake of our lovely host, for our arrival, his precious advice of sites to visit, and the pleasant presence of his two cats.

Honestly one of the most spectacular places I have ever stayed at we didn’t want to leave! Absolutely gorgeous and serene. There is a calmness to the area and everything in the house made it so easy. Our family had a magical time here and Jil was incredible. So helpful and kind. It was like visiting and staying at an old friend’s. The town was beautiful with very friendly people. Jil and Thomas have thought of everything you might need to the stereo system outside to the bbq and electric shutters for a perfect night sleep. We can’t wait to come back again and make it a tradition to stay here! 😍

Jenny and Marc were excellent hosts. We were made to feel very welcome and they are lovely people. The place is beautiful, the view is amazing, the gîte was very comfortable and well equipped. Quiet and very beautiful house, keeping cool in summer. The pool is nice for cooling off, and the surroundings are very quiet. Top location to enjoy the area while being in a small chill cosmos with friends. Fred and Liza were very welcoming, clear in their explanations and they provided us with clean and very well-equipped accommodation. We were able to cook ourselves throughout the stay, the kitchen is really great. The 2 bathrooms also help you avoid traffic jams when you're a group of 8.

We had a fantastic stay at the Lucie house. The temperature was over 30 degrees every day but the house stayed beautifully cool so we didn't even need the A/C. The house was really well set up for a family as it had a travel cot with a proper sprung mattress, high chair and baby bath. The kitchen is really well equipped with plenty of pots/pans and even a blender. All of the beds were really comfortable. Tremolat is a beautiful little village with several restaurants, a lovely little grocery shop with fresh pastries and bread and all essentials. We had some gorgeous evening walks around the village and some lovely trips to the surrounding towns. Alain was easily contactable and friendly and gave us a tour of the place when we checked in and also met us to hand the keys back at the end of our stay. Very much hoping to return for another holiday!

A wonderful and perfect location to explore the Dordogne. Made even more special by the attention to detail, and lovely personal touches, by the best of hosts Thierry. The story of his thoughtful restoration of the accommodation added to our pleasure. Thierry made us feel very at home. We are sat in the airport and already planning a return. Enchanté Thierry.
