House holiday rentals in Mauzac-et-Grand-Castang

Everything about this place is top class. The house is absolutely lovely, beautifully furnished in a way that feels both traditional and homely. The location is stunning, a gorgeous commune surrounded by other lovely little towns with lots to see and do. The pool and the garden are fantastic, so nice that we actually ventured out far less than we had originally planned. Our daughters, aged 4 and 2, wanted to move in permanently! Last but not least, Andy and Jacqui are the perfect hosts, super friendly and helpful. This was our first holiday since having kids and we are so, so pleased we chose here. We would love to return.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Marc et Denise, qui sont de supers hôtes. Le cadre est superbe, le logement est charmant, il y a tout ce qu'il faut. N'hésitez pas à réserver leur table d'hôte, vous allez vous régaler ! C'est aussi très bien situé, vous trouverez de nombreuses escapades touristiques dans les alentours. Nous recommandons grandement leur gîte :)

Nathalie and Tim were such extraordinary hosts! My family and I had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home! The house itself is perfect for cooking, relaxing, and spending time together. We were able to enjoy the wonderful gardens and the pool all day and watch the sunset from our patio each evening. Such a stunning and relaxing atmosphere. The best part was how well taken care of we felt all week. Nathalie helped organize a tour of local vineyards, scheduled a wine tasting by the pool, and cooked dinner for us all on 2 evenings. She also had great local restaurant and market recommendations! We also loved our morning chocolatines and croissants! They were extremely kind and accommodating throughout the trip - delivering bottles of wine when we ran short, lending us a pot so that we could cook a big stew one night, and even working a miracle helping me removing a grenadine stain from a white dress I bought at a local market. I can’t recommend this wonderful home enough!

Such an idyllic stay! The gîte is perfectly located amidst peaceful surroundings, you really feel like you’re in the middle of the French countryside. The garden is enormous, and was a lovely area for our little girl to run around. The pool area is very clean and looks new, located within the grounds , it’s a little walk from the gite but this is great for feeling of privacy. The gite itself is well equipped, clean, spacious and remains cool even when it’s very warm outside. A home away from home. It’s very easy to park outside the front. The local village is very picturesque with restaurants, boulangerie, mini supermarket. It’s a quick drive down, but was too far for us to walk, especially in the heat. Sarah was a fantastic host, was very easy to contact and responsive. Such a wonderful introduction to the Dordogne region for my family and I100% would recommend. Merci beaucoup pour tout, Sarah. Beautiful little terrace house in Belves within walking distance of the centre of the village. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants within. Five minute walk. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The steps to the outside terrace are very steep and could be slippery if damp but the area is lovely to relax in. Lots to see and places to visit in this beautiful part of France.

We hebben een heerlijke ontspannen tijd gehad. Een heerlijk huis en geweldig zwembad. Lekker rustig, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Patrick heeft ons geweldig geholpen toen we pech hadden met de auto. Echt mensen waar je op kunt bouwen. We komen heel graag terug.

Je kan je geen betere gastheer wensen dan Arnaud! Pro actief of alles naar wens is, of informerend of hulp nodig is. Via de app om je rust en privacy te respecteren, maar nemen de tijd voor een gesprek als je dat wilt. De accommodatie is nieuw en gezellig ingericht met oog voor details. Wij voelden ons er gelijk thuis! De dikke muren houden warmte buiten en je kan er een goede nachtrust hebben in de heerlijke bedden en goede geluidsisolatie. De ligging is gunstig gelegen ten opzichte van de vele bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. Er is al veel over geschreven in de introductie van Arnoud en Elodie, maar als je lekker rustig wilt zwemmen, aan de kant wilt relaxen en in de schaduw onder de bomen wilt liggen met een horeca voorziening erbij, ga dan naar Pont de Vicq in Le Buisson de Cadouin. Ook het plaatsje Monpazier is zeker de moeite waard! Normaal liggen supermarkten kilometers ver weg maar in deze plaats is er eentje op 900 meter. Arnoud, Elodie, dank voor de heerlijke tijd!!

Nous avons été accueillis par la maman de Clémence, qui est une personne adorable. La maison est très agréable et spacieuse. très bonne literie. Personne très disponible pour nous rendre service, nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit. La famille Lagueny

A wonderful and perfect location to explore the Dordogne. Made even more special by the attention to detail, and lovely personal touches, by the best of hosts Thierry. The story of his thoughtful restoration of the accommodation added to our pleasure. Thierry made us feel very at home. We are sat in the airport and already planning a return. Enchanté Thierry.

Nous sommes ravis de l'accueil de notre hôte Jeannine et de notre séjour. C'est un logement idéal, paisible et charmant, bien équipé, pour découvrir les environs : châteaux , plus beaux villages de France, gastronomie. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement. Nous n'oublions évidemment pas le succulent gâteau aux noix de notre adorable hôte, pour notre arrivée, ses précieux conseils de sites à visiter, et l'agréable présence de ses deux chats.

Great recommendations for Chateau's, Restaurants and things to do. We had 8 nights and could have easily had 8 more and still not seen a fraction of what the area has to offer. Very private and quiet location. I would give Caroline's beautiful Gite 6 stars if able

This house is an absolute gem. Perfectly located for exploring Castelnaud Chateau and other local sights. The garden view is lovely and is great fun when the balloons float past! A beautiful, characterful cottage in the heart of this historic village.

Honestly one of the most spectacular places I have ever stayed at we didn’t want to leave! Absolutely gorgeous and serene. There is a calmness to the area and everything in the house made it so easy. Our family had a magical time here and Jil was incredible. So helpful and kind. It was like visiting and staying at an old friend’s. The town was beautiful with very friendly people. Jil and Thomas have thought of everything you might need to the stereo system outside to the bbq and electric shutters for a perfect night sleep. We can’t wait to come back again and make it a tradition to stay here! 😍

The best lodging we've had on this month long trip to France. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, private but close to all the things, the best sleep I've had in years, wonderfully appointed kitchen. Heads up that there is a washer but no dryer, but we managed fine with the very large drying rack provided. Would not hesitate to recommend, I wish I had spent more of my time here.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour ! Nous étions 14, les chambres sont belles et confortables. Mention spéciale pour la cuisine hyper équipée et grande ainsi que l’espace piscine. Il y a plusieurs coins cosy et du coup nous ne nous sommes jamais senti les uns sur les autres. La maison a tout le nécessaire pour passer de supers moments le tout dans un cadre détendu. Les propriétaires ont été toujours disponibles, gentils et prêts à nous aider ou nous fournir tout le nécessaire pour que notre séjour soit une réussite. Je recommande cet hébergement les yeux fermés.

Maison calme et très belle, gardant la fraîcheur en été. La piscine est agréable pour se rafraichir, et les environs sont très calmes. Emplacement top pour profiter de la région tout en étant dans un petit cosmos chill entre amis. Fred et Liza ont été très accueillants, clairs dans leurs explications et ils nous ont mis à disposition un logement propre et très bien équipé. Nous avons pu cuisiner nous même tout au long du séjour, la cuisine est vraiment top. Les 2 salles de bains permettent également d'éviter les bouchons lorsqu'on est un groupe de 8.

Jenny and Marc were excellent hosts. We were made to feel very welcome and they are lovely people. The place is beautiful, the view is amazing, the gîte was very comfortable and well equipped. It is such a peaceful and tranquil place and the pool is superb. We cannot fault it at all. Thank you Jenny and Marc!
