The space has been transformed into a cosy woodland retreat flooded with natural light. It has a secure private entrance & ample off-street parking. The lounge has a wood burning stove stocked with logs from our garden. The accommodation is ideal for a family of 4 or 2 couples, the bedroom has a kingsize bed and there's a kingsize sofa bed in the lounge.

A charming Cottage in the village of Mayfield. There is a wood burning stove for winter stays and a enclosed well stocked tranquil garden with outdoor seating. The cottage is detached and situated up a private drive with parking. It is secluded and quiet whilst being under 2 mins walk from a super village pub serving good food and local beers and 5 minutes walk to the centre of the village with all its lovely shops/cafes, delicatessen and famous gastro pub.

The Brock Suite is perfect if you are looking for a complete escape in a countryside setting. The suite is within a large country family home where we also live. A spacious 25 ft bedroom on one floor and a luxurious en-suite with 2 person jacuzzi and a balcony on the top floor. The bedroom has a 4 poster bed, sofa and TV (Apple TV and freeview). No kitchen. Tea making facilities. Mayfield has 2 pubs and plenty of country walks. A car is needed.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! It was super clean and had everything we needed—honestly, they thought of everything. The area was so peaceful and cosy, with just the gentle sounds of birds and the cows, which added to the charm. It truly felt like a little escape. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

First, I’d just like to say, Sue, your host, is a wonderful person and a great host - kind, friendly, practical, and very hospitable. My stay at Marklye Stables was truly a memorable one. Personally, I loved the feeling of having so much private space to myself in such a lovely, picturesque, rural setting. It gave me the necessary sense of freedom to be able to relax completely. There are plenty of walks, directly from the Stables, following good pathways through the local woods and across the meadows. Walking on the South Downs is just a short car drive away. Sue is an ardent rambler herself and familiar with most walks, both near and farther afield. The town of Heathfield is just less than a mile’s walk away along the pathway of the disused railway line. I will definitely return.

The Old Workshop was perfect for our holiday. We stayed nine nights and travelled around the area visiting many National Trust locations. Jenny was a great host and always returned my messages very quickly and checked that everything was fine once we had arrived. Access was simple and the property was well equipped and very clean. Highly recommended for the perfect countryside get away.

Great place to stay for the week. We used it as a base for day trips, which worked really well. I’d note that the kitchen (including fridge) is compact, which is fine but if you’re planning to eat all your meals there I would suggest avoiding one big food shop. Lovely big bathroom but do consider your own comfort / mobility getting in and out of the bath to use the shower (this is all well documented in the listing photos). Julia’s place has a lovely, homely feel to it and we felt very comfortable during our stay.

This is a fantastic property, very spacious and has a very handy path to the local village through the fields. Sue was great with check-in instructions and provided tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend staying here and would come again !

A great place to stay to access Hastings. Right on the waterfront which was lovely, accommodation was exactly as described. Only slight issue was parking which was accurately described in the listing and free parking was found a short walk away, overall not a major issue and didn’t impact the stay

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

Just wow! This place is extremely special. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility with style & cleanliness you won’t be disappointed. The boat is just stunningly decorated, with huge windows where you feel like you’re in the middle of the lake. The decor is tastefully done, the bedding/towels smelt amazing aha! Netflix and lots of dvds for cosy nights in. It was warm as we went in the middle of summer but a fan was supplied. But being warm was worth that view. One of my favourite airbnbs, I’d love to come every year. Both hosts were wonderfully friendly and the pub is a 10min walk, with beaches a short drive away. Thank you!
