House holiday rentals in Mayne Island

What a great spot! Nestled in the woods in a peaceful and quiet setting this place is truly one-of-a-kind. The house is very unique with lots of character that sets it apart from the usual stays. It was clean and had all we needed. Our host Gramma Rikki was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and we could not take advantage of all the outdoor spaces and amenities. We played pool, sat by the cozy fire and did some island exploring by car. All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway despite the crummy weather. We hope to return one day and experience everything this wonderful place has to offer.

Priska and Rudy are really nice. we enjoyed our 5 night stay. we enjoyed the pool as well as the weather was nice. we would stay again if we are ever in Vancouver area again.

'Hollywood North' is a bit of a misnomer - the home is much more classic, warm and comfortable, with owners who provide timely and helpful communication and assistance. 'West Coast Charm and Grace' might be more descriptive. The cost of the accommodation, though not unsubstantial, was well worth it. We were a group of 9 adults from 2 branches of one family who meet every Thanksgiving to reconnect. The bedrooms, the bathrooms, the 2 living areas, the dining room, the outdoor terrace, the swimming pool and hot tub, the gardens, and the very impressive kitchen all served to make the holiday one we will cherish. Everything you need to make the house your home was supplied - inspired us to stay in and cook as a family a vegetarian Thanksgiving dinner! In short, a beautiful home and great hosts in a lovely setting. Could not ask for more.

This is a lovely property. There was a lot of thought put into making this property comfortable for guests. Nicely furnished, well equipped kitchen and plenty of good quality towels and pool towels. We made use of the hot tub and sauna. The hot tub and pool were well maintained during our stay. The weather was a bit chilly when we were there so we didn’t use the pool much. Would love to come back and experience Matt & Lina’s home in the summer.

Great place to stay for four nights

Peaceful and lovely house, the views from the balcony were beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nanaimo.

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

This is such a cute and comfortable cottage, with lots of amenities, a great back deck with a table and BBQ, and a perfect layout for a family or friend group! The area is so cute and easy walk or drive to the beach, and stuff to take to the beach, which we loved. It's nice for walks and has a pool and mini golf down the road!

Great find! Walking distance to beach and shops. Place was accurately described and had a good outdoor space! Very clean and we enjoyed ourselves.

This house was amazing. The view was epic. We sat on the porch and watched the seals and otters for hours. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed including some spices for making some dinner and breakfasts. Donna was an excellent host! Will stay again when I’m in the area.

I can't say enough good things about this house. It is such a special spot. From the minute we walked in we felt right at home. What stunning surroundings. The location is so quiet you can hear all of nature around you. We saw river otters and seals from the awesome deck, so many varieties of birds and critters. Seriously do yourself a favor and visit this place. I'm already planning our return and I got home yesterday.

Mary Lou is an amazing host who has thought of every little detail and has a beautiful house that looks exactly like the pictures. I can thoroughly recommend Sooke and Mary Lou’s house.

Josie was a fantastic host. Flexible, responsive, and helpful in providing local recommendations for an area we were new to. The house and property are beautiful, peaceful, and unique. Can't recommend highly enough!

This is a true gem and an amazing space to stay in while visiting the West Coast and would stay here again over and over. The outdoor space was well designed for privacy and feels like you’re on your own in the great outdoors to enjoy a campfire and the beautiful outdoor tub was spectacular and such a treat. We loved all the extra amenities and the space was very well designed indoors and felt like home.

We had very restful sleeps as the home was in a quiet neighborhood with very comfy beds. We were able to enjoy sitting on the deck one afternoon listening to the birds and enjoying the view. The drive to Ganges for groceries and restaurants was only ten minutes drive. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal including some vinegars, oils and seasoning. Our hosts were very friendly and keen to make sure we had everything we need.

The unit was lovely; so peaceful and the view from the deck was amazing. Sitting in the comfy chairs with eagles soaring overhead was relaxing and just what we wanted from our vacation. We appreciated how immaculately clean everything was and enjoyed the comfy bed! The unit is located to allow easy driving to many places on San Juan Island. We were able to enjoy the country drives on both the East and West side of the island. We could spend the morning hiking through the woods and afternoon climbing down to hidden coves. And then go back to a relaxing evening on the deck! We would go back to this special place!

My friend and I came for a weekend getaway and it was a dream! The place is better than the pictures and we absolutely loved the gorgeous design and setup of the home. Ferndale isn't a "bumping" town but we spent our weekend antique shopping, drinking wine in the beautiful yard and then made our way to Bellingham and mount Vernon for food and coffee when we wanted to go out. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!!!

Ingrid’s home is incredible and was an amazing place to stay for our wedding weekend. The home is beautiful and Ingrid left thoughtful touches around for us. Communication was excellent and we had everything we needed. Exceptional host and exceptional property.

Such a lovely time at Katie's place! The view was stunning & we had such a nice time relaxing on the patio. Everything in the space was extremely clean & well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

Camila’s place was amazing. The views from the house and the decks were breathtaking. Spacious accommodation with all the amenities for a relaxing holiday - modern kitchen, hot tub, games and a fire pit. A peaceful and private location on Galiano with easy access to many of the island’s trails and beaches. Camila was friendly, responsive and very accommodating. A superb holiday destination!

What a wonderful place. House was bright and airy and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed and more. Lots of cupboard space in the bedrooms, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. We were 4 adults and there was tons of space for all of us. It was a great experience and although it was a bit of a drive into Victoria it was definitely worth it.

Just spent four nights in the beautiful garden suite. It was spacious and comfortable. We were in the area for a wedding and this locale was excellent. Perfect for two couples. The garden was in bloom and an ideal place for a morning coffee and breakfast. Easily accessible to Victoria & Ferry. Highly recommend this lovely spot and a visit to the Island.

Jim, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and the view from the front patio, was serene and beautiful! The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room/dining room area was quite spacious. The closet in the main room was large with plenty of hangers and storage. Overall, a great place to stay in White Rock!
