Holiday rentals with a kayak in McMinn County

The rental was amazing. Very clean, roomy and a beautiful view of the lake. Mitch was very responsive and friendly. The pictures don’t do it justice, you need to see it in person to take it all in. This has been our favorite vacation so far. If you love to fish you can catch all you want from the back yard. We will definitely be back next year. We didn’t want to leave. Another plus is that you are only two hours away from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and Nashville for a nice day trip.

We loved This house! It was the perfect spot on the lake, and the covered boat dock was great! It even had a swing to sit and relax in while the kids enjoyed kayaking and trying to paddle board which gave us lots of laughs 😊 The host supplied the home with so many complimentary items if you forget anything no worries she has it available for you, such a nice change from most of the homes we rent while on vacation! The driveway is perfect especially if pulling a boat or even if you want to take daily walks as I did. The beds are always a big deal for us as we want clean and comfortable and this house had both, they was so comfortable and clean and fresh!! You can truly tell that the host cares about her renters and making their stay amazing!! I could go on and on about this home but unfortunately there is not enough room for me to type all that i need to ..lol...Thank you again Debbie for allowing us to stay in your home, as we truly loved your place and had a wonderful time!

Paul’s cabin is very well appointed and spectacularly clean. There are some good restaurants within a 30 minute drive. Spent time fishing, boating, building campfires and relaxing in the hot tub. Great weekend - everyone enjoyed it.

This place has the wow factor - stunning location and views, great outdoor area, very homely and well provided interior, cant fault it, it was everything we hoped for, didnt want to leave! Angela was a pleasure in online communication and in person, thank you.

Can't say enough good things about our stay at the house! Great space, beautiful outdoor area and fire pit & love the view of the river. We had an issue (nothing with the house) & the caretaker and owner were so thoughtful and kind to our family. We would love to come back and stay!

Everything was wonderful we stayed there to be close to family who stayed at the Lake House. Having the kayaks was great the kids and adults both enjoyed them

Robin is a very nice host. She doubled check to be sure everything was ok and we didn’t need anything. The cabin is very nice, in a quiet place, very clean and nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable. We loved our stay. We wanted to rest, relax and enjoy the outdoors and we had everything as expected. We are very happy with our stay, best choice ever.

We LOVED our stay. Perfect location! You felt like you were worlds away but were actually close to everything. Easy to get to (a little bumpy on the dirt road leading to it), close to everything, and the best layout. The house had everything we needed and more. Can’t wait to come back!

We love staying at Lake Awana. It’s peaceful, beautiful and quiet. Karen is a great communicator and very responsive. We love it so much we have stayed multiple times. Don’t miss out on this gem!

This is a beautiful home tucked away on a rural mountain. The host has great attention to detail. Everything we could need was provided and the view was as advertised. This home is cared for well and the hosts make great effort to accommodate visitors. We chose it for a week of quiet getaway from life’s business and were not disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay here in the Little Bluegill. Plenty of amenities, great lake access for smaller boats. We spent a lot of time on the back porch grilling and enjoying the weather. I would say the pros are new appliances to use, the inside of the house doesn’t struggle to stay at a comfortable temperature even at close to 90 degrees outside. Spacious bedrooms and bathroom. My only cons would be if you bring a group some of the vehicles have to park in the grass which is on a decent incline, but it’s perfectly manageable. Larger boats may not be able to use the on site boat ramp, but there are plenty that are only a few minutes down the road. Bring plenty of snacks, not much for local restaurants but some of the marinas have decent restaurants. We enjoy “The Crows Nest” restaurant at Blue Springs Marina. As for our host Tim is very easy to communicate with and quickly responds which is always appreciated. He also allowed us to extend our stay without any dramas.

Amazing place to get away with the family. So many activities on the property that the kids wanted to be outside from the moment they woke up until they went to bed. Will definitely be back!
