We were comfortable, everything as it appeared in the ad. Santiago was very attentive at all times, a great host.

An absolutely stunning property, with everything you could possibly need for a home away from home stay. Fantastic pool and pool house as well. Large kitchen/ dining/ living area meant that even with 8 adults staying it never felt crowded. Fresh baked goods left for our arrival as well as complementary toiletries. Tania and her husband were so helpful even arranging an early check in at the last minute. Genuinely is only 15 minutes drive from Bilbao and the beach, although bus stop is only a short walk away. Couple of restaurants in the local town are a short walk away. Comment from a past visitor about security cameras was over exaggerated, there is one camera pointing at the back of the garden and not into or around the house. Also felt very safe as there is the regional police headquarters behind the property 😂(but doesn’t overlook it at all). We will definitely be returning to this property and to beautiful Bilbao.

12 of us stayed with Mari Luz and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable and felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. At first I was worried that we might disturb Mari Luz but we didn't receive any complaints despite 1 or 2 late nights drinking around the dinner table. Also I'm extremely glad we stayed in Castro Urdiales instead of Bilbao since Castro was a much more relaxing and hospitable place and Bilbao was only a 30 min bus away anyway.

We thought the villa was perfect for our little girl's weekend! Local taxi firms were very accomodating over text message as we could not speak spanish so we were able to Google translate and message them. (uber doesn't work in this area) The local GoT attractions do require booking to visit - which we did not realise but that was due to our own lack of foresight. The host was amazingly responsive, the water system was running cold and she was there within 20 mins to reset the boiler to get us hot water and to help us understand the cooking system. The villa itself was beautiful and the surrounding area was so beautiful to just sit and enjoy. Plenty of space in the villa and multiple bathroom and showers for larger groups of people. I would mention that having a car is essential to stay here for the local shopping and the check out process of disposing of the bins down the road.

we had a great holiday at the house. The photos don't show enough how big and beautiful the garden is. Also the house is more spacious than we expected in the pictures. Received by Lucia upon arrival. Being able to communicate in English. (I don't speak Spanish). There was also a delicious local delicacy ready for us. Very attending. The house was sparkling clean. And more spacious than I expected. The garden is large and fully fenced so our dog could walk loose. There was space for sun and shade. From the covered porch we had mountain views. The pool was lovely as well. We were able to swim in it on hot days. It is large enough for a family of 4. The peace, the silence. Only sounds of the countryside. Cows, dogs, birds, toads. Very restful. And last but not least, the area. Really beautiful. What a beautiful region. Lucia thank you!

We had a great stay, the house was very clean and Jose was such a lovely guy. He was always contactable. He gave us lots of recommendations on things to do and places to visit which we did and throughly enjoyed them all. The pool was beautiful and our kids really enjoyed it. Check in and out was flexible which was excellent.

We were very comfortable in the accommodation. The house was impeccable, it had everything, towels, the kitchen was equipped with all the utensils, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had shampoo and gel. The truth is we rested and Magda was very kind.

Magnificent host from start to finish. Attentive to needs, with its own initiative indicating trails for hiking in the area... He even left us a couple of gifts! About the house little to add, in the description and photos you see how good a place it is. Equipped with everything we needed. Tidy and clean. I wish to repeat your stay!

A wonderful old cottage on the edge of Arredondo, lovingly renovated. You have a wonderful view of the mountains when they are free of clouds or simply watch the clouds play on the mountain peaks. The covered terrace is ideal for an outdoor breakfast or dinner. We used it every day of the week to simply enjoy the view. The property is clean and well maintained. Since it is on a slope, you have to climb the mountain a bit. But certainly not a problem for hikers. A stream, the Ason, ripples below the property. Tall trees around the property, but they don't interfere. A very nice place to stay for 4 people. We would love to come again. Unfortunately, there are too many beautiful places waiting for us. If you are looking for a quiet, historical, peaceful experience in northern Spain, this is it. The stone house is modernized and comfortable with three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The kitchen is excellent and it was wonderful to have an outdoor space to eat and lounge and enjoy the setting. We stayed five days and there are endless day trips to take to nearby towns, beaches, mountains, markets and restaurants. Diego was a fantastic host and Marta opened the house for us. Both responded immediately to any of our needs. We loved it.

Perfect place, the house is great, everything worked perfectly, the heating, the dishwasher, the fireplace, everything as described. Very good cleanliness, there were sheets and towels for the 9 we were. There were games for the little ones and a place to walk with the dogs. A lovely view of the mountain. I give it a 10.

Consuelo is fantastic, pending, friendly, communicative and notice that the accommodation is part of its history. The place is in perfect condition, it's what you see, even more. Quiet, safe area. Very close to Cabárceno Park. A place to come back if you want to disconnect, with all the amenities of your usual home. With easy parking.

Our stay was very pleasant. The house is spacious and perfect for groups: three bathrooms (one per floor), two large living rooms and a separate txoko that, together with the garden, is great for everyone to be together. The area is very quiet, without noise, and is used both inside and outside. The patio with barbecue is spacious and cozy. Guadalupe, the hostess, was a sweetheart, very close, attentive and flexible with the departure time. Although the turtle pond we saw in the photos was no longer there, everything else was perfect. We felt very comfortable throughout the stay.

We loved staying here and Sopela was so beautiful. A great spot to stay for a week or more and Gaizka - the host - was very helpful! We hope we can come back!

A warm Spanish welcome with a welcome gift. Spacious structure in a very quiet area, a car is essential. Bathrooms with windows and equipped kitchen. In the garden, there is a lemon tree and an orange tree with fresh fruit available. The only drawback is the French bed, but otherwise everything is fine. Thanks to Marcelino who, living in front, has always been available for any request. Recommended accommodation for those looking for relaxation

We had a wonderful stay. The house is cosy, very clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. The view is absolutely stunning. the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning coffee or watching the sunset, the scenery adds something really special to the experience. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. Would definitely stay here again!

An ideal place to stay with children! We had a great time despite the bad weather... a pity since we could not enjoy the garden, but luckily the penthouse was full of toys to make up for it! We were very comfortable and the rooms were very nice.

Family weekend in a comfortable and well located house. well equipped for 6 people, with ATMs, shops and restaurants. A very nice walking area. The owner took care of us before we arrived quickly.

A very nice and comfortable house for a small family. We were very comfortable for three days, the house has the essentials so you don't miss anything in your stay. It is in a quiet area, you have to move about 8 min for super and places to eat. The house shares part of the jardin, but it has a trocito vallado por sias carry chuchos. In general I would recommend the stay if you want to move around the area, Cabarceno and Santander are about 20 min away.

A highly recommended house. Clean, good layout and countless details. Fully equipped. Nothing is missing. We spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day there, and it was worth it. Many routes to disconnect. Amparo always answered in minutes. Quiet village and very close to villages with all kinds of services. I hope to be back soon. Many thanks to the hosts.
