The Palm House at Hjelmsjöborg

Nestled in a rhododendron in the northern part of Hjelmsjöborg Park is this octagonal tower Palm House. This is a very unique building where you get a home like nothing else. Five meters in ceiling height, beautiful stucco fixtures, brick paintings, a bathtub in the middle of the bedroom, spiral staircase, a stone-laid patio with a Mediterranean feel and not even a stone's throw from the house is Hjelmsjön's nice tennis courts. In the winter months, it can get a little cold, then you have to crawl up on the sofa and light a fire in the fireplace.

The house is secluded with few neighbors where you can get via a beautiful forest road along the lake. With only 200 meters to the nearest lake. The location of the cottage is a haven for the fishing enthusiast as there is opportunity for fishing. The house itself has a lot of charm with open nice living areas and fireplaces. Relax with the whole family in this peaceful accommodation by Lake Svanshals. Lake view from living room/kitchen and conservatory. Fireplace. The cabin is a newly built and completed year-end 2022/2023. Private access to Svanshalssjön. Fishing on the plot. Swim runs but bathing shoes are recommended (until we built a jetty). Otherwise, there is nearby very nice nature that is crossed by Skåneleden. By bike and car distance is Osby where there are both grocery stores, restaurants and other activities.

We are renting out our cozy cottage with beautiful surroundings close to the forest. There is garden with a big terrace and a greenhouse to sit inside if it is raining. The forest is a couple of minutes away and is great for walking & running. Skåneleden is also passing close by. There is a creek about 600 m from the house. The area is very quiet and peaceful. There are shops and nice lakes for swimming 10-15 km away in Osby, Vittsjö & Hästveda. The house is situated 30 km north of Hässleholm.

Härlig stuga från 50-talet med fina vintage-möbler inspirerade av samma årtionde. Är sista stugan på vägen ut på en udde i Vittsjös sjöområde så här har du lugnet och tystnaden, men är ändå bara en promenad från affärer och tåg. Skogen inpå knuten och härliga strövområden. Bra fiske bara metrar från ytterdörren. Här vaknar du med utsikt över vacker sjö! Njut av stjärnhimlen och ugglornas hoande på kvällen. Från 1 november 2025 ändrar vi ena sovrummet till en lounge och tar endast två gäster.

Vallåsen Park which offers one of the best bike parks in Sweden as well as ski and cross-country skiing tracks is only 25 minutes from our cabin. The cottage has an area of about 100 sqm - at your disposal there is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room with fireplace, two bedrooms and a private, cozy sauna.

Here is a simple lifestyle: the food is cooked over an open fire or in the outdoor kitchen, drinking water is collected from the pump house, which is bathed outdoors or in the lake and toilet visits are done on luxury das. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the cottage.
