Holiday houses in Mellstaby

We had 3 very nice weeks in Charlotte's guest house, which is sweet and tastefully decorated. The garden and view of the sea are a dream, we were also able to watch many birds and water lobes. To the beach, it's a 5-minute walk down the quiet village. Charlotte herself was not present, but everything worked out smoothly and the communication went super friendly. The equipment works very well for 2 people. You should know that the kitchen and bathroom are not separately ventilated, as they do not have openable windows. This quickly creates moisture in the room. After that, if you open the living room door and the window for ventilation and the towels hanging on the laundry line outside, you can do well. Dehumidifiers and heating elements are also available for dehumidifiers and heating elements. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed every day on the island - thank you!

I had a lovely two weeks. The house is well equipped, tastefully decorated and on a good location. Beautiful see view, lots of sights nearby, even if you don’t have a car: east coast, Mörbylånga, Ottenby. I did everything on my bike. The host lives (partially) on the property, this is good to know. He’s kind and helpful if you need anything, always easy to reach.

The cabin is simply wonderful! Location is so peaceful and lovely. It is beautifully decorated, just as advertised. Our stay was just perfect. It has an amazing window to enjoy the most tranquil and watercolor sunsets Öland has to offer. It has a well equipped kitchen with all necessary to cook. Location is perfect in the south part of the Island, which makes it convenient for sightseeing and to enjoy very nice peaceful summer days at the cabin. Fredrik was very responsive and with very good will to help.

We spontaneously decided to stop In Öland and what can I say, we extended twice because we loved it. Quiet surroundings, great place to work and just be. We also loved the Café close by in Gårdby. It all felt really like a great workation/home for the moment. Beautiful setting and very responsive host for our spontaneity. Thank for having us!

This tower is really something special as accommodation. The owner and builder has put a lot of good thought into this. Despite the small floor space, there is sufficient storage space and all the utensils you need are available. Both the tower itself and the outdoor kitchen and the separate toilet and shower house are super clean and are provided with many loving details. The location in the archipelago makes the surroundings enchanting, and you can also visit swimming spots nearby. Another plus are the available bicycles with which you can very well explore the surroundings incl. Explore Kalmar. The landlady is very friendly and always approachable. We were able to move freely throughout the garden and therefore had the feeling that the property was ours, which is very positive. We highly recommend this place to everyone. A wonderful swedish experience! Actually, one should keep this little paradise to oneself as a secret tip and share it only with very good friends :) The location of Magnus' small loft is a dream, situated with a slightly elevated terrace, overlooking the legendary landscape of the archipelago and finding oneself in the midst of nature. The grounds of the accommodation are like Bullerbü, with a beautiful stylish Swedish house attached and old fruit trees as well.There are paddle boats and canoes as well as bicycles, so you can move around perfectly to explore the islands. The loft is very cozy with typical Nordic charm, very comfortable, good beds, and a modern shower. A small kitchenette helps to self-cater occasionally. Magnus and his wife are very warm and welcoming hosts who always had good answers to all our wishes and questions. Magnus is an expert in giving tips about the surroundings and other parts of the country. Definitely a vacation that couldn't have been more beautiful.

Jan-Erik's summer house is very spacious and conveniently located - as described. On the road in front of the house is a bit of traffic, it is the "island main road". But there's nothing to hear about it on the terrace. For me, the first impression was the smell of plastic /PVC (probably from the flooring and plastic windows?), which was very intense when entering the house in great heat. After 2 days of ventilation, just a little more. For me, the smell of GDR Dacha. However, I am also very smell-sensitive - it didn't end up with my two co-travelers. Everything in the house worked, some windows can only be opened with a lot of caution: it is an old house, the renovation of which was probably no longer regularly invested in. "Swedish rules" apply: even bring bed linen, towels, dishtowels (including toilet paper!) and clean everything before departure.

Perfect location for, for example, accessibility to Ottenby. Helpful host. Spacious!
