The 870 sq ft Cottage built in 1893 is completely renovated & full of local art & culture. It's perfect for a quiet get-a-way or for entertaining around the granite island. Yellow Bayou Plantation is a real working farm that sits on over 100 acres along the historic Yellow Bayou. The guesthouse is located behind the main house. It has an open floor plan, a full kitchen and an antique claw foot tub. There are horses, chickens, cows & honey bees located on the property as well as a stocked fishing pond and a swimming pool. You may see a combine harvesting a crop off in the distance or beekeeping activity. Come fall in love with this rural farming area.

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.

Cabins are prewar 1940's motor court with covered parking. Each cabin features, queen bed, TV, WiFi, small bathroom with small shower, original lavatory & fixtures in bathroom. Small kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Air conditioners and electric space heaters. Restaurant (Magnolia Cafe) hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10-3 and Coffee Shop ( Birdman ) on site. Come enjoy history with modern amenities and explore the beautiful plantations homes in our area.

The cozy cottage is nestled along the bank of the Atchafalaya River, a few miles south of interstate 10 and half way between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La. Drive through your own little private swamp as you enter the property before it opens up to the cottage. The front porch is only steps away from the river. Large windows line the front of the home so you will have a wonderful view wherever you’re at. It is a perfect place to relax while surrounded by nature.
