Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Mendocino

What a delightful stay! Leda is a fantastic host, and her home is absolutely a great find. So quiet and safe. The house backs up onto a salt water lagoon—it’s a nature lover’s paradise. The beds are the best, excellent sleep is in your future here. The location is conveniently located to jump on the light rail to the ferry building and then San Francisco, or go to the Marin coast, or Sonoma. One should not let this opportunity pass by.

We had a wonderful stay with Dee and Al. Great hosts who made us feel right at home! Everything was very comfortable and the location was peaceful and quiet but close to a wide variety of things to do. We give our highest recommendation to Hollie's and we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the privacy and hominess of your space. The extra touches such as sparkling water in the fridge and snacks were very nice. The bed and couch were very comfortable. Because one of us is chemically sensitive it would be better if the laundry detergent used for sheets and towels was unscented. Michi and John

Dawna's place was perfect for our one-night stay. Dawna has very thoughtfully stocked her place with everything needed, and she greeted us when we arrived to give us a personal tour. We also loved having a glass of wine in the lovely backyard beside the fire pit.

I had the very BEST stay at Mark's place! Everything about the stay was magical - the cottage was quaint and lovely, surrounded by redwoods. Mark's hospitality was of the very best I have seen...he was so kind, helpful and caring and lovely to talk with during the stay. He cares so much and wants to make sure his guests have the best experience. And wow the baked goods are incredible! This was the best mini retreat I could have imagined..I will definitely be back!

This place is dreamy! I stayed in the farmhouse and it’s the place where you check in. It’s a beautiful building with a living room and a fireplace and lots of tables for eating. The food they make here is outstanding. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is shared with the people staying in the other room in the farm house. The other rentals on this property are all within earshot. The staff is accommodating and energetic. This place is great for a big event or a quiet getaway. I will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at Karin's incredible Danish-style abode. She was so welcoming and warm upon arrival, and was incredibly accomodating to our adjusted arrival time of 10pm! Anything we could possibly need, Karin had on hand and was always there for us. Waking up to fresh coffee and organic yogurt bowls made us feel like we were staying at a 5 star resort. And echoing everyone else - Karin's omlettes are second to none!! The property itself is also so stunnning, and it truly feels like you're miles away from busy San Francisco. Karin also gave us a fantastic tour of the area on her ATV, including her baby chickens and beautiful free-roaming horses! Whether you're looking for a quick getaway like us, or are interested in staying for a full week's time, I can't recommend Karin's one of a kind home enough. We're looking forward to our next stay!

Melissa's place is a definite hidden gem! we had a wonderful time during our stay at the Elk Cove Inn and Spa. The room was wonderful, food was great and the overall ambience of the property was delightful as well. we'll definitely be going back :)

Great place to stay. It’s an individual caboose not a shared place. It’s a bnb and even includes breakfast. 10/10 recommend. Such a beautiful place on the lake

A delightful stay! The hosts are masters at providing warm hospitality, a beautiful room, and amazing breakfasts! We met several other guests who had been coming for 10 years. The home is exquisitely furnished and well-maintained.

I'm so happy I found this gem. We stayed in the Jenner room - super cute, cozy and clean. It felt a little like we were in Tahoe with a splash of wine country. Bryce and Dana were super accommodating and had great suggestions. The breakfast sandwich was hands down the best breakfast sandwich we had ever had (hope I'm not setting the expectations too high)! Thanks for a great stay and we'll definitely be back!

Steve is a fantastic host and his space is a living art museum, which we found fun! It’s a great location if you want to ditch the car and walk around town to explore, grab a bite or a drink. Highly recommend staying at Steve’s place - we’ll be back!

The Inn is very well located near shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach (mostly because Mendocino is so small :-)). Ian was so welcoming, and the check-in process was super smooth. He gave us loads of tips for local places to visit. When we were told that breakfast was going to be bread pudding, we were apprehensive but when it came to our door, it was absolutely delicious! The place has all you need including large fridge and microwave. The only minor thing is that the bed are quite small for 2 people to sleep in but it was manageable. Enjoy your stay here, you won't regret it.

What an Oasis! I’d give more than 5 stars if possible. June makes a great breakfast and Paul is a wealth of local information. The pool was perfect too!

Stayed here on my trip up the west coast

We had a great time here! Becky, the innkeeper, was very kind and knowledgeable about the area and cooked everybody some mean pancakes in the morning. I want to emphasize how good the free homemade breakfast was. We will be back!

We were very pleased with our stay! It was the first time my children have experienced a bed-and-breakfast. They really enjoyed the family style breakfast. We loved the beaches and the details of staying in this gem of a home, with so many old world style details. We would stay here again the next time we're in the area! The inn is managed very well and capably by Becky. We highly recommend it!

The host Becky was amazing! she was very responsive and kind. She chopped kindling for our fire place and made pancakes in the morning! The room and building itself was super magical! We will definitely be back
