Cottage holiday rentals in Mérens-les-Vals

This is a beautiful mountain home, with great views of the 'Alta Garrotxa' mountains. It is located on the edge of the small village of Rocabruna and about 15 mins drive from the nearest town, Camprodon. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. Nice local hikes from the house (recommend the castle hike) and Camprodon is a really nice town. The road up from Camprodon is good but the last 3km are narrow, so drive carefully!

A huge THANK YOU to Jean Louis without forgetting Sophie and her delicious dinner. An outstanding cook we had a very nice evening around wine tastings from the estate. the lodge is very well located in the heart of the vineyard estate notice to lovers of tranquility it is the ideal place. The lodge is perfectly equipped and very well decorated, what a pleasure to enjoy the scenery of the terrace and pool. We highly recommend this lodge and everything with it. Limoux is only 10 min by car,with all the amenities needed for the holidays. Very beautiful things to discover in terms of tourism in the surroundings. We had a great time at the Tanagra cottage. Chloé and her family are very welcoming, available while remaining very discreet. The house is full of charm and well-equipped, the pool in the middle of this panorama was very appreciated by young and old! Lots of things to do and see in the area, great for a family vacation!

We loved this beautiful house perched above a small Pyrenean valley and its beautiful river! We were 8 and had all the space it takes to relax, cook and have fun together (info to note anyway: the 5th bedroom is not one, but a mezzanine above the living room and kitchen, so not always quiet, and its layout is not of the same very good quality as the other bedrooms). Our host was very available and friendly. We had very nice walks around the village, the valley is really wonderful. Basically, a great place!!

This is the second time we have stayed and it will be many more, super equipped casita in an idyllic place. Juan Carlos is a great host, he always makes us feel at home, the fireplace with that Olmo wood in the area is the most. 100% recommended !

A wonderful spacious house, which has everything you need for a comfortable stay, away from the hustle and bustle. Jazzuzzi is an indescribable relaxation. You can spend hours on the terrace just looking at the stunning view. Incredibly comfortable mattress. Getting out of bed helped only the desire to again plunge into the jacuzzi. You can endlessly enumerate the advantages of this house. But it's better to just come and see for yourself. Special thanks for cordiality and hospitality, for help and excursion into the forest, as well as for a delicious surprise.

I stayed for St. John a group of friends with our dogs. It is a great and quiet place with a paradisiacal landscape. The house is large and equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy. There is possibility to hike from your own location without needing the car. Access to the house with the car can be a bit tricky as the village streets are a bit narrow, but the road that leads there is very well maintained. Sergi's attention was unbeatable; he answered all the doubts I could have with kindness and proactivity. A top-notch host. Highly recommend, for sure we will repeat.

It is always a party to stay in the Ariege, a nice accommodation and hostess will complete it. The house is simple but full of comforts, Caty is a great friendly and committed hostess. Attentive and very easy to reach, the house is relatively convenient to many hiking trails and activities! The most used is eventually the hot tub afterwards, lovely place to recover in and lots of fun for the kids! Thank you for a great time!

A rural delight in the heart of the French countryside. Excellent shady gardens and nearby tracks for dog walking. The hamlet is small but various villages close by have restaurants and shops with good quality local produce. The house itself is a converted winery with many of the wine tank features still in place. It’s full of character! The hosts were charming and neighbourly, and welcomed us with a bottle of the excellent local wine. Frederick speaks good English and is an excellent guide to the local eateries. This was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay for ourselves and our dog.

We loved our stay here. It was a short weekend getaway for us and the gorgeous view of the river and the nice garden area were perfect for this. Felt like we were transported to this peaceful haven and the place played a huge role in giving us a much needed vacation from everything. Oh and we were able to take our little pup with us and the fact that there was a small enclosed garden area was extra perfect. Becky and Andy were so nice to us and accommodating too. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was super cosy and the food was excellent. We left wishing we had booked for a little longer

Very quaint stone building with everything you need and good views of the mountains and lovely hike behind the house. Easy walking distance to shops and lovely park with river running through it. A little tricky unloading if residents appear but not a big problem. Car park easy walking distance. If you have difficulty with stairs not suitable as bedrooms 14 steps down. Very happy either way accomodation, air conditioning and beds / furnishing and Juli very thorough in providing instructions.

We had a most wonderful two-week stay at this unique house full of charm and soul. The house is beautiful and spacious, the kitchen is super lovely and well-equipped to gather for memorable family meals, children have so much to discover with the playroom and the garden, and the surroundings are very special with many gorgeous walking trails nearby and with ski slopes just a short drive away. Pat and her husband were great hosts, they were always responsive and we especially appreciated that they accommodated our family’s needs and responded right away to quickly resolve any questions or issues we had (which is not easy considering the house is not in a big city and solutions might not always be quick). Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Our stay in Semana Santa at Pere's house was fantastic. Located in the mountains with spectacular views, the house is very cozy and is very well equipped. It was great for our whole family. We were looking for tranquility, contact with nature, paths to walk and a house with all the comforts to be able to cook and make asados; and that was ectly what we found!! Also Pere was always attentive and very kind. We would come back a thousand times!!

Beautiful and private space. Great value compared to alternatives. Perfect for two couples, a baby, and two dogs!

A magical place to disconnect where only birds chirping and river noise can be heard... The cottages allow you to be at home in complete privacy. The environment is very beautiful and many hikes are to be done nearby. Finally, the cherry on the cake: Kate's welcome, kindness, and smile really make the difference! We're already thinking about coming back! See you soon Kate!

Roquefixade is a very picturesque village and the accomodation is excellent, with a spectacular outlook. There are lovely walks in the area. We especially enjoyed the chateau circuit and another loop walk to Les Demoiselles. Tom was a very friendly and helpful host.

We spent three beautiful days at Joan Carles' place. Super location for outings and getting out a lot. The apartment is spotless. Thank you for everything we will be back!

We were able to celebrate our PACS with 20 of our friends and the Grange du Soleil was the perfect place. All the equipment was very well thought out, both inside and outside to be able to party but also to enjoy nature. The setting is ideal, very beautiful and without neighbors. Thierry and his wife were very welcoming and available, the arrival, communication and departure were very easy and pleasant. We highly recommend the barn and will think of it for our next events! 😊

Lovely, peaceful and cozy house in a small mountain village. Had all the amenities possible along with the beautiful view from the balcony. I think the place is suitable for 2 people or 2 adults with children, because the second bedroom is quite small. The shower was tricky (hot water is not always running) but we figured it out. The host is very friendly and responsive, gave us local recommendations which we used and weren’t disappointed! La molina ski resort is 20 min away, but unfortunately there is not a lot of snow there 🥲

A bubble of happiness! Le Petit Cinq is like Anthony &Rachel, welcoming, neat, warm, peaceful and very comfortable. Many thanks to them for their attention, we had a wonderful weekend! Well accompanied by our little dog Stella, excellent. A very successful sweet break. The view and the accommodation are sublime. We'll be back, I hope!

Very nice accommodation with everything I advertised. We felt very comfortable. They were very friendly and attentive to everything. We would definitely return.

Beautiful house, just to note it hasn’t got an oven but this isn’t a downside as we cooked pizza in the outdoor pizza oven! We were there during a thunderstorm and it was beautiful had outside seating undercover so could be fully immersed in it. Up a very twisty small road which does make it peaceful and quiet, so you feel away from the town but is only a 10/15 min drive in but best to visit shop first. Very nice restaurant opposite the house. Had a lovely stay!
