House holiday rentals in Mérindol

This was one of the best Airbnb stays we have ever had. The home and private grounds are wonderful reflections of the spirit and beauty of Provence. Where do we start? The beautiful decorations in the home, the well appointed bedrooms, kitchen, dining, and living room, and the large landscaped gardens with a well maintained pool, and the surrounding spaces with panoramic views of the valley. Stores and restaurants are a short walk away and Lacoste is a central location to explore nearby towns. Michel and Christine were gracious hosts who met us when we began and ended our stay and made us feel welcome to stay in their wonderful property. Thanks again for making our trip to Provence such a great experience.

Exceeded expectations. Coffee machine was also excellent. The home really has a heart and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peacful retreat that feels great for the soul. Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms were hotel standard. You can tell alot of love and time has been put into the furnishing and decor. Landscaping surrounds were a joy to explore, enjoyed sun bathing, a little ping pong, walking amoungst the trees with the family, exploring the orchard and lavender field followed by Rose and movie nights in the extremely comfortable living room. Ellen and Aries were incredible hosts.

We stayed with friends with children for 4 nights in Jean and Agnès' accommodation. The setting and the calm seduced us. The place is charming, the house and the pool very pleasant with a beautiful view of nature and the mountains. In the accommodation we lacked nothing. Everything was very clean, tidy and well thought out. Jean and Agnès have always been responsive and we will gladly return to their home to enjoy the many activities in the area! Looking forward to seeing you again.

Magical!! Andy and Jess have an absolutely beautiful place that embodies what Airbnb is all about! The decor is well thought out and gorgeous with beautiful French antiques and comfy furniture. The yard was massive with a perfect swimming pool, big grassy area, and places to sit in the shade. We made dinner one evening and sat and chatted with our host which was probably one of our favorite nights. Andy was so warm and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for cute towns and markets. The animals were the happiest pets I’ve ever met and it was fun to hang out with the 2 sweet dogs and friendly cat. Can’t say enough good things about this property. You can feel the soul of it as soon as you enter and I only wish we’d had more time here on our trip through France. Thank you Andy and Jess for your hospitality!

We had a truly unforgettable stay at Anaïs’s beautiful home in Gordes! The house was in immaculate condition perfectly clean, beautifully furnished, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt like a peaceful haven in the heart of Provence. Anaïs was an exceptional host. She warmly welcomed us in person, gave us a full tour of the property, and shared helpful tips about how everything worked. She also went out of her way to help us plan our stay, answering all our questions and offering fantastic suggestions that shaped a perfect itinerary. What truly stood out was her kindness and attention to detail even at check-out, she made sure everything went smoothly and surprised us with a thoughtful parting gift. It was such a lovely gesture that really made us feel at home. We couldn’t recommend Anaïs or her home more highly. An outstanding experience from beginning to end!

We loved our stay at Martine’s place. She was a wonderful host. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. She was a friendly and helpful host and gave us great information about the area. The house was perfectly equipped and spotless and has everything we needed for our family of 4 to have a wonderful vacation. We really enjoyed being able to walk to Bonnieux and to drive around the different towns in Provence. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to return one day!

Stunning property in a superb location with a very attentive host. The 2 parking spaces were an absolute bonus. Having 3 en suite bedrooms was a real treat and the layout of the house was fantastic. I highly recommend this property and will be back again.

We had a wonderful 1 month stay at Nicolas and Isabelles small house. The place is perfect for a longer vacation, with everything needed, including high chairs and crib for our baby. The two hosts were very responsive and accommodating and the area is beautiful. One thing to note it that the place is located inside a closed golf reserve, with limited restaurants and only a small kiosk in the close vicinity. All in all, a beautiful place that we highly reccoment others to visit.

Five stars all around. Communication with Florence was excellent. We asked for a better Weber grill and a brand new one was provided immediately. House is full of character, village is charming. Bakery in the center of town has closed, but there is another bakery further down the road. Small grocery store in the center of town. Second floor (third floor North American) bedrooms could be an issue for those with mobility issues as the stone staircases are steep with only a rope to hang onto. Pulling out onto the road from the property requires assistance to make sure the way is clear. All in all, we would return in a heart beat.

Exquisite location to explore the Luberon region.

The place was beautiful and Bonnieux has everything you need for a great base whilst exploring the Luberon. We loved the setting out in the peace of vineyard and cherry orchard whilst being an easy walk into the village. Edwina was very kind and helpful and left a wonderful welcome for us at the house. Would 100% recommend.

The perfect hideaway in the Luberon! This was our 5th time visiting the region and staying in various accommodations (from hotels to Airbnbs). David’s place was beyond perfect. The rural, French countryside cottage we were looking for, but within driving distance to all of the best villages. We utilized the pool every day in the afternoon when it was too hot to explore and loved watching the sunset from the hill beside the property. The location is amazing - close to Oppède le Vieux, Goult, Menerbes and Gordes. We stayed with 3 adults and one 13 month old and the setup worked great for our group. If you want to feel like you’re really living a Provençal life, book this place.

We loved our stay at Aurelie’s. The home was cozy and beautifully decorated with a private courtyard. The home was located close to a cluster of small villages, as well as some restaurants. Aurelie was very responsive and quick to assist with some minor issues we encountered. We would love to come back some day!

This is our second time visiting Lacoste and staying at Valerie’s beautiful place. It is absolutely perfect: cozy & comfortable with breathtaking views. This is the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed in & Provence has become one of my favorite spots in the world all because of how much we enjoy this home. Everything you could want and a wonderful village to explore. Highly recommend Sun e-bikes as they delivered e-bikes. Proxy is close and De France and De Sade are terrific restaurants. Both my daughters did the SCAD Summer program at Lacoste and this was the perfect place to drop off and get her settled. Thank you Valerie for the most perfect vacation spot. We will be back!!

The place was exactly as wonderful as it looked on the photos. I loved the kitchen equipment and that there was lots of spare plates and cutlery. The pool was wonderful.

Set on the side of the mountain with a beautiful view looking out over farmland to the east. You can hear the soft sound of cowbells from the herd below, which adds a peaceful touch. The walk up to town is short and steep, or you can take a slightly longer route along the switchback road with a gentler incline. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised—the house felt even more comfortable and welcoming than we expected. Florence & Vincent were available and responsive, but we hardly needed them because the home is dialed. We’ll be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Corinnes property. It was great to have our own private river access during our stay as it was warm at the time of visiting in June. The jacuzzi was also a hit! Corinne provided many essentials and a beautiful basket of local produce including tapanade and jam. She was very accommodating for our group which included a baby and allowed us early check in and departure so he could nap at home. All cookware required was available for when we wanted to cook a meal at home and the fridge had a cold water and ice machine. Beds were all comfy and each room had its own bathroom. Thank you Corinne!

The accommodation is very tastefully furnished. The large terrace above the Sorgue river is great, with plenty of sun until the evening. The picturesque town with many restaurants and shops can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Nicolas responded to our questions very quickly. The place is highly recommended!

We had a beautiful stay at Christian and Anne’s place. We travelled with two couples, a toddler and a baby and the space was great for us. Ansouis is a quiet village with a great bakery and restaurant but within close driving distance of other villages to explore too! The pool was a great addition and we enjoyed dining in the outdoor space. Christian and Anne were really responsive with all communications and super flexible with check in and out! Thanks for sharing your place with us, we would love to return one day!

Highly recommended! The Gîte is perfectly located in a peaceful spot just outside Gordes. The apartment is charming with plenty of room and access to outdoor pool. Catherine and her family were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the tranquility of the area and hope to return soon.

Our stay at Ludovic’s home was absolutely wonderful. The house was beautifully appointed and had everything we could possibly need—and more. It was peaceful, thoughtfully designed, and full of heart. We especially loved the rich history of the home and how it had been in Ludovic’s family for generations; it added such a meaningful and authentic touch to our experience. Ludovic was incredibly gracious with his time, offering quick and helpful responses throughout our stay. I’ve truly never stayed anywhere that felt so much like home. Leaving was harder than I expected… I think a little piece of my heart stayed behind. Thank you again for your warm hospitality. We hope to return someday.

Brigitte and Michel were kind, communicative hosts. Their place is lovely and clean with plenty of space. The pool, however, is shared with the hosts and has limited hours of use (10am-5pm.) The listing description at the time that we booked seemed to indicate that the pool was private, which was a disappointment. The place has a beautiful patio with covered area for dining and an excellent grill. This and the wonderful kitchen were highlights. The view of the vineyard is incredible. There were a couple of systems issues while we were staying there that were unexpected. Brigitte and Michel were very helpful and communicative and those were all resolved. We were delighted by the gifts of wine and biscuits that were left for us.

Bonnieux is a quiet village in the Luberon, and Jennifer’s place helps you to slip immediately into relaxation. The views are absolutely stunning. We woke each morning to birdsong. The home is beautifully decorated and also homey at the same time. We had all the amenities we needed and more. The terrace was the perfect spot for a glass of wine or a nap (or both!). Jennifer also provided excellent recommendations for food. We had one of our most favorite meals at her recommended restaurant. The house manager was friendly, responsive and helpful. The location is ideal to Sun Ebikes and the Luberon Greenway bike path. We spent several days touring around, enjoying warm sunshine, seeing poppy fields, and discovering other villages. There is an AMAZING ice cream shop and chocolate shop. We loved Bonnieux the best! We can’t wait to return to this beautiful property.

Cathy and Patrick are very warm hosts. It was a pleasant, clean cottage, good bed and fully equipped kitchen, everything was thought of. Also small private terrace with garden furniture. Strategic location to explore Provence. The garden is a wonderful place to relax after a day out.
