Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mértola

Joao met us as the house for check in - he was friendly and helpful. Gave us recommendations for close hikes and river beaches, including the google map links! The house was immaculate, beautiful with modern upgrades while still maintaining charming 100 year old historical details and furnishings. The private pool was 100% the best part of this stay. Not huge, but enough space for 4 or 5 to get in and have fun. Lots of shady deck seating, and the air conditioning in the house was great in the 37 degrees weather. With 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there was plenty of room for all 5 of us. Not a lot to do within the village, but essentials were met with a few markets and restaurants. It was a nice break to be in a quiet, sleepy village for our stay in Portugal. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing, slow pace to your vacation. I would definitely stay again. Hele mooie en huiselijke woning met alle gemakken die je nodig hebt. Zeer stijlvol ingericht. 2 airco's wat goed uitkwam tijdens ons warme verblijf. belangrijkste ramen voorzien van horren dus geen last van muggen. Een vaatwasser ontbreekt maar die hebben wij niet gemist tijdens ons verblijf. Bedden slapen prima; harde matrassen maar daar houden wij persoonlijk van. Nina heeft ons bij aankomst rondgeleid en is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Rusige omgeving. Af en toe een treintje overdag maar daar heb je geen last van.

What a slice of heaven on the outskirts of Faro. A beautiful garden, stunning views and lovely terrace for us to sit and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. A true hidden gem, they also serve the most unreal breakfast with fresh ingredients sourced locally and from their own garden. Alex & Monique gave us the best recommendations, from restaurants to more private beaches. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend!

Shanti's place was just what we needed before heading home. Loved doing the goat walk. The fireplace was amazing on the cool nights. Coffee on the back deck under shelter looking over the hills listening to nature. Really enjoyed talking with the International volunteers who work the farm. Very remote and quiet. A very unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely do again.

We stayed at Isabel’s villa for 9 nights, we were 4 adults and 4 kids. The villa is fantastic - much better than the pictures, well equipped with everything you need and very spacious (big rooms, lots of outdoor space, bbq and a big pool). We paid to have the pool heated which was beneficial as some days it was a bit chilly. The villa is fairly remote, we had cars but also used Ubers to get around. It’s about a 3-4 min drive to the nearest supermarket and a 5 min drive to the main town and beach. Isabel recommended some day trips and local restaurants, all of which were great. She was also flexible with check in and check out times which was super handy with the kids, and was very responsive throughout the trip when we had questions. We’d 100% recommend this villa for a family holiday and hope to return!

Wir haben uns in Nélias & Humbertos Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung war sauber& der kleine Outdoor Bereich ein großes Highlight. Das Bett war sehr bequem & die Klimaanlage gerade in dieser warmen Jahreszeit einfach super. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Vielen lieben Dank auch für die ganzen Empfehlungen in der Gegend.

Wir waren mit 3 Familien ( 6 Erwachsene und 6 Kinder max 5 Jahre alt. Wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Für die Kinder und für uns war einfach nur ein Traum es war die beste Unterkunft die wir hatten. Toplage ca 10 min mit Auto bis zum Strand und sich alle Einkaufs Möglichkeiten sehr gut erreichbar. Eins ist jetzt schon für uns sicher wir kommen wieder Danke Fernando für die Unterkunft und die tollen tips Ich habe mich auf Anhieb mit Fernando verstanden Bis nächstes Mal und nochmal vielen lieben Dank

Ich habe mich in Tatianas Apartment sehr wohl gefühlt! Es war makellos sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Die Lage in Strandnähe ist perfekt – man ist in wenigen Minuten am Wasser. Tatiana war eine sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, die mir bei Fragen sofort weitergeholfen hat. Ich kann die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder!

Het appartement is ruim en heeft alle comfort. Ons verblijf was begin mei, het was erg rustig in de omgeving. Weinig appartementen waren bezet. Wat ons het meest plezier deed, was het prachtige terras met zich op de oceaan (in de verte). Heerlijk om er te ontspannen. Van deze locatie bereikten we vlot, per huurwagen, leuke locaties: de westkust, Albufeira, Silves, Monchique, Luz, ... Er is een fijn strand op wandelafstand. Er zijn restaurantjes in de buurt, voor elk wat wils. Misschien is er minder rust wanneer het hoogseizoen is aangebroken, maar begin mei was het heerlijk rustig en nog niet te warm.

We had a fantastic stay at Susana’s place. The accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean (very happy to let my little one crawl around on the floors it was so clean!). Much bigger than the photos. Pool area was very peaceful. Lots of amenities without being cluttered. Well stocked kitchen and generous welcome pack. Restaurants and beautiful beaches within walking distance. Great communication and very helpful host. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a beautiful place to stay. we had a lovely 3 night stay at Ruben's house. Communication with Ruben was very good and respons always prompt. The house itself is well equiped and the highlight is (for us) the fantastic pool. The rooms are big and clean.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche. Das Haus und der Pool haben uns sehr gefallen, wir haben gut entspannt und alles war sehr schnell zu erreichen. Der Mix aus Strand, Party und Stadt war perfekt. Vielen Dank für die schnelle und einfache Kommunikation, der Check-in und Check-Out waren auch super flexibel.

Villa is absolutely beautiful exactly like it is in the photos highly recommended, Would definitely stay here again villa is only a few minutes from the town by car. Everything you could possibly wish for in the kitchen, right down to a third fridge in the outside barbecue area. We stayed with friends, as 2 families so eight in the villa and had plenty of room. also separate areas for all of us so it never felt like we was all on top of each other I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here Till the next time 😎

Joana was a fantastic host and the property was perfect. There’s a lovely coffee shop just down the road with extremely helpful staff. The property had everything you need and is abundantly spacious. Joana is so helpful with her recommendations. We had a 16month old with us and no question or request was too much. I especially loved the baby friendly features such as the cot (not a travel crib) and the highchair. You’re a short distance to supermarkets beaches and restaurants but far enough out to feel peaceful. We will be coming back!

Very peaceful, clean villa with great pool and things for young children to play with. Car is essential to access local amenities. Host Carmen very informative and friendly.

Honestly, I can’t say enough about Ana on how she went above and beyond to make my weekend celebrating my birthday and bachelorette with my friends special! She went as far as to in on the surprise to ensure that I was completely blown away! The villa is spectacular and my only regret is the number of balloons we left lying around when we left (sorry Ana). The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, great convenient location with a grocery store and cafes nearby. Also wasn’t too far to get to the main strip! I highly recommend booking this gorgeous villa!

We stayed at Rich & Yan’s place on our family holiday with our 2 year old and it was just perfect for us. It was lovely to have a big patio area outside too within easy reach of the pool (which we used every day!). Everything had been thought of, from children’s books, welcome food and drink, highchair, travel cot etc to the supply of shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash in each bathroom. We loved the clean, homely feel of the place without it feeling too cluttered. The location was perfect for us, allowing us some peace and quiet when we needed but within a 10/15 minute drive of everywhere we needed to be including beautiful beaches and restaurants. The hosts Rich & Yan were very responsive and provided plenty of recommendations and detailed check-in instructions. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone with a young family!
