Holiday houses in Miamou

Words cannot describe enough the wonderful time we had staying here. We stayed in 2 other places in our visit to Crete as this was by far the best and our favourite! The village is beautiful and everyone is so friendly and helpful. The restaurant has amazing food which is cooked by Georgious (who is a great chef!) and the local cafe also has amazing food (you have to try Lefki’s Galaktoboureko it’s divine!) The atmosphere of the whole village is perfect. The surroundings are serene and beautiful and watching the sunset behind the mountains is a magical experience. Maria is one of the kindest, gentlest and warmest people you could ever meet and she really made our holiday one we will never forget. She recommended many places to visit and things to do which were amazing and we would not have found them without her! We cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us and the great evenings we had chatting under the stars by the mountain. We will be back very soon to visit!

This might be the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It almost felt like a shame to leave it to visit the beaches and restaurants that Manos and Sofi had recommended. There were just two of us but the house would be greatly suited to bigger groups. I would love to return again one day.

Our experience here was the highlight of our stay in Crete! Federico provided us with detailed recommendations of some of his favorite spots nearby, and we visited as many as we could. Each one was a beautiful destination with no tourists and occasionally some fellow locals. And his food recommendations were some of the best food we had! 9 days vacation in a wonderful little apartment with a really great terrace. Everything is new and friendly and furnished with a lot of love. But we were even more impressed by Anna's cordiality and all her little (edible and drinkable) gifts, which were always at our door. Thank you so much again, dear Anna. The apartment is easily accessible, with its own parking space right in front of the door and within walking distance of the beach and town. On the beach, you can lie down on the available loungers in front of most taverns for free and enjoy the day. Of course, you should also eat something at the respective tavern. The way back from the beach and also from the port area in Agia Galini is safe for one or the other to describe as a bit more exhausting, just like the 3 floors up to Annas apartment. With heavy suitcases, a challenge :) But, with that you can then also go to one of the many taverns to eat comfortably with a clear conscience!!

We had an awesome time at Nikos’s place, he gave very useful tips and his apartment is at walking distance from everything in Matala(as the village is very small). As mentioned in other posts, there are quite a few steps to the place but you get used to it, and it’s a great workout after a big dinner in one of the restaurants below. One of the days it was too windy to be on the beach so we stayed on the terrace of the accommodation with a great view of the sea, the sound of the waves and privacy from others. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nikos!

Everything was absolutely perfect! We had a wonderful time staying here! Niki and her family are very friendly and welcoming. The house is very comfortable, there is everything needed, and the view is stunning! Thank you for your warm welcome, we’ll happily come back if we come to Crete again! We recommend 100%

We traveled with friends and babies (a total of 4 adults and 2 babies (8&10 months old)) to the villa to Savas & Maria and the villa was fantastically beautiful (even more beautiful than in the photos)! For our tour group, the villa was just perfect, we had our peace, could relax and the children had enough space to play on the giant terrace. Savas & Maria kindly provided everything necessary for our kids (crib, baby chairs, a small inflatable pool and plenty of toys). Cleanliness is very important in the villa, the villa was handed over to us in perfect condition! The villa was rounded off in the evening by the overwhelming sunsets! Savas & Maria were extremely communicative, gave us great recommendations and were always available! We would like to express our sincere thanks again for your warmth, hospitality and a fantastic stay! If we come back to Crete, we'll come back to you!
