Holiday rentals with lake access in Mid Sussex District

Idyllic - best description of Kathy's place in Sussex in the south of England. Kathy was a great host and the property was amazing; both the Coach House, which was huge and boasted a wonderful kitchen and common areas. We were celebrating the arrival of our first grandbaby, bringing the whole family together (7 + infant) over Christmas and really appreciated all the nice touches, including the beautiful Christmas decorations. Make no mistake, you are in the countryside - with all the peace that comes with it (there is a lively and charming little pub a short distance); and, yet, not really all that far from London and the airports; very accessible. I could go on but Kathy's place was just a perfect retreat and we feel very blessed to have been able to stay at this beautiful property. Kay's apartment was absolutely superb for us and she was such a great host. She was able to provide a travel cot and high chair at the last minute as silly grandparents had forgotten to pack them. It was no problem for Kay and she'd got it in position by the time we arrived, for which we were all extremely grateful. The apartment is located in a great spot with direct views over the estuary and Arun yacht club and a 5 minute walk from the beach and high st! We were greeted with a lovely basket containing sourdough bread, homemade biscuits, milk, jam, marmalade as well as plenty of tea bags, coffee & sugar! All the beds were comfortable as was the sofa and easy chairs in the lounge/diner. We all would recommend the local fish & chip shop Osca's as the food there was fantastic!

What a fabulous couple of days we have had at Aimee's place! Aimee was wonderful to deal with, answering any questions in super quick time and so very friendly on meeting us. Such a unique place to stay - absolutely love the way Aimee has done her beautiful home up - we felt so comfy and so enjoyed the boat trips, visits from the gorgeous geese and swans, cats and meeting lovely Bob next door. We felt gutted that we only had a couple of days of our trip left - as would have loved to stay longer and explore more of the area. How lucky are we that Aimee shares her adorable place with us!!! An amazing 2 nights that felt like we'd been away for a week! Although right in the centre of a busy town, the house was blissfully quiet and we quickly relaxed, enjoying the warm, beautifully furnished, well equipped property. The historic town of Midhurst has lots of character with a thriving high street including many great places to eat and has easy access to stunning surrounding countryside

We had a lovely time at Sue’s place. We came on the train - so no car. For us it was a 10-15 minute walk from the station, all very easy. The place is beautiful, a lot of character. Plenty of space for everything you’ll bring. Hot tub was a great addition which we loved using most of the nights we were there. Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. The kitchen was well stocked and the private outdoor space made meals feel special. We would definitely come back again.

Dolls House is in the best location in town. Walkable to all locations. A gem for a family to stay in Arundel.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The house was absolutely perfect—spotlessly clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. I was especially touched by the extra care taken to prepare for my son’s stay: a high chair, cot bed, and even some lovely toys were all thoughtfully provided, which made a big difference for us as a family. The garden was a peaceful haven and perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or letting my little one play. The location is ideal for a longer stay, with easy access to nearby attractions for day trips—and even London is not too far away. Every detail in the home showed how much the host cares about the guests’ comfort. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’m so grateful for the warm hospitality and would love to come back again!

We had a comfortable stay at Claudia's apartment. It is a brand new development. Communication with Claudia was good with quick responses. We had a minor issue upon arrival which was solved fairly quickly following a call with Claudia. Also, the check in instructions could be a little clearer for which we have provided feedback so this should be better for anyone staying after us!

Thank you Laura for hosting us at such short notice after our original booking was cancelled last minute. You found us a beautiful place, it was ready for us so quickly and was even more lovely than our original booking. The owner was very friendly, also. It is such a beautiful home, with an outdoor space, a big bed in the main bedroom, beautifully furnished and quiet! Small 2 storey annex alongside owners home, comfy and well equipped. Good walk in shower and Smart TV with Amazon stick attached so we could log in to Netflix. 5 mins walk up to local pub, restaurants and shops. Although we were unable to park on their drive as they were using it, free parking literally 20 seconds away in Nicholas Road with always plenty of room.Also gave a back route out without going on main road.

Really lovely place! Super warm which was perfect for the winter. Jane was great at communicating and I’d definitely stay there again :)

We had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful time. We did have a car which made it easy to get places from here. However, there are some pubs near by to stroll to. Arthur was easy to communicate with and provided clear instructions on how to find the accommodation. Thank you for a great stay :)

Yas’s place was lovely! So close to the pier and beach, felt like home away from home. He was so quick to reply if I had any questions and the bed was very comfy!

We loved our stay at Chris’ place. The location is perfect for exploring the Sussex countryside (Petworth, Ridgeview etc all nearby). The house was clean and well equipped, and Chris was communicative throughout. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape from the grind with friends or family - with the added bonus of a village pub in spitting distance!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your gorgeous cottage. It was the perfect venue and location for time away with friends. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The extra touches, like milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and toiletries, are very thoughtful. We recommend this cottage for anyone looking to visit the area and we would be very happy to stay again.

Great cottage, very spacious, very clean, comfy furniture. Nice touches such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up sponges and lots of toilet rolls. Jo was super easy to communicate with and gave us lots of recommendations for activities for our toddler in advance which was very useful.

Our stay at the cottage was exactly what we required. The location was ideal, the surroundings and grounds were great. The accommodation was great and Jo was a very responsive host. I would recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

A wonderful Airbnb tucked away in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood in Kingston Upon Thames. Loved how easy it was to get to the train station and to lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend staying here to anyone!

We had a lovely stay at The Long Stable. The place is very peaceful and there are good views of the countryside and a nearby reservoir. The amenities are top notch - great tv, fast WiFi and the tumble dryer came in handy too! Andrew was a very nice host and helped us when needed. We would definitely visit again.
