Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mills River

This is our third year coming to Karen’s home and it’s simply amazing. The views and location are stunning. We will definitely be back for year 4 next year!

This cabin was the perfect base camp for a week of biking, hiking, and trail running. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals (but lots of options within a 20 minute drive when we didn't feel like cooking!). We enjoyed being able to bring our dog along with us, and he loved getting to sniff around in the woods by the house. We hope to come back!

We loved our stay! Everything we wanted to do was in close proximity and the recommendations for food were amazing! Our stay was peaceful and the cottage itself was lovely.

Had a great time staying at Ren’s place! Responsive, friendly host that offered a local guide and clear instructions. The space was immaculate and so fun! Can’t wait to find more listings.

Great location for a quick family weekend get away. Loved the scenic location, wildlife, and sound of the creek from the comfy porch. Listing as described, kitchen clean and functional. Beds/pillows clean and comfortable. Location close to Asheville and local attractions.

This was an amazing place to get away for some peace and quiet! Michelle was proactive reaching out to us about our stay and so kind and responsive to our questions. She remembered it was my birthday weekend and made sure to ask how we were enjoying our time away from home. The place was so cute and the decor was very unique (love the sinks). Very clean! Will definitely visit again.

This is a magical space! I am so glad we found Ginny's hidden oasis. It was quiet and peaceful. My wife and I fell asleep each night to the sound of rain on the roof and/or the serenading of frogs and creepers. We will definitely return!

This place was better than the photos. The creek right at the end of the driveway was absolutely beautiful! A little chilly but it’s was refreshing the game room was a great bonus hangout spot not to mention the hot tub!! The place is just what we needed!

This was a wonderful stay for us. High quality house, furnishings and amenities. The bed sheets were great. The showers were great. Theres such beautiful plants, trees and stonework. There were so many spots to sit. The book collection is second to none. My husband's favorite space was the basement with weights, reading nooks, top of the line W/D. We loved the gas fireplace and the kitchen was wonderful. We were close to family, downtown and a nice Ingles. Joy was in touch as much as we needed. True Southern Hospitality. We'll never forget our peaceful wonderful time here. We will be recommending it to family who visits in the future and would definitely stay again. Thanks, Joy!

We had a great stay. Comfortable beds, a great shower and a fantastic yard for the dogs! The deck was big enough for me to put up my hammock without blocking everything. And the gas grill was a plus. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We made a last minute decision to get away for the weekend and were fortunate that this home was available. It was clean, well stocked and cozy. We enjoyed our time there very much.

What a view from the back porch! The cabin is very well equipped. The drive in can be a bit rough. But very worth it. The cabin was very comfortable for our family to stay in. The falls behind the cabin are worth the trek down the mountain.

Views for days! Perfect little family getaway. My husband and I disconnected and enjoyed the deck and views, while our daughter who just spent a week in the woods at summer camp - enjoyed the WiFi. Haha. Cabin was very clean! Beds were comfortable and sheets were comfortable and clean. Would definitely rent again. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely worth checking this place out. Quintessential WNC, down to the fireflies peppering the field below. Very beautifully styled home with unique spaces to enjoy where you are.

Ashley’s rental was perfect for myself, husband and 2 dogs. We stayed here for a month and have nothing but great things to say about this rental and our experience with Ashley. The rental was true to the photos and description listed in air bnb. She was accommodating and proactive with any needs we had. The location is great with close access to shopping, food and the highway. If you bring your dogs. There’s a small park on the same road as you’re going toward Sierra Nevada on your left. The house was clean, smelled great when we walked in and literally had anything you would need. Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, hand soap and dish soap. Basically anything you would need she had. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this to anyone. Great price for a great location with a wonderful host!

It was immediately apparent that Robert's place was one of the good ones! It was a charming historic bungalow furnished and outfitted with care and thoughtfulness. Handsome antique furniture served us well, classic lamps and artwork lent elegance, comfortable furniture arranged to allow for easy gatherings. The kitchen lacked for nothing and the large antique wood plank table accomdated our extended family. Bedrooms featured comfortable beds and crisp linens as well as blinds on windows that opened and provided delightful cross breezes. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and showers had seemingly endless hot water. We appreciated the handy laundry room. A back deck and patio provided safe haven for our bicycles as well as a barbecue grill! Mostly we enjoyed the comfortable screened porch . We spent every evening here enjoying the sounds of happy children at the neighborhood swimming pool as well as a spring downpour. We hope to return someday for the next family reunion.

The Lake house was one of the quietest and most peaceful air b-and-b's we have stayed at. The new back deck is the highlight of the lake cabin. The rest of the cabin is fully equipped and functional, but we hardly left the back deck. With its fenced in area and gate was perfect for the dog. The kayaks and dock are a nice addition. It is located close to good dining at Micas restaurant and Whiteside brewery. We came for the hiking in Panthertown area. We will be back again.

Very comfortable, quiet home. I felt like we were the first guests based on the cleanliness. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching for wildlife and played a few games of foosball. Easy instructions, no fuss. Thank you.

This was a great house to stay at. Very comfortable and home like. Loved the view and the large deck. Had everything we needed including toys for kids. Good area, near lots of stuff to do including using the resort amenities, restaurants, waterfalls and shopping. Would stay again.

We loved our quiet weekend away eventhough it poured. The cabin was very cozy and warm and roses and champagne were a wonderful surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting as a couple while watching movies and simply unplugging from work and family for a few days. We will definitely come back once the weather warms up.

ms.sandy and her husband are the sweetest people ever, we missed check in by 4 hours so she was worried and made sure we were okay, upon arrival and her explaining everything to us she took the time to made sure we ate something and made us a smoothie just in case we didn’t. she has the most beautiful home and it’s exactly like the pictures. when you look over the balcony at night you see the most beautiful firefly’s, and wake up to the most brightest sunrises, you can even see the mountains in the back!! the room was so clean and spacious so we will definitely be back again and hopefully for longer!
