A great place for mountain biking with the Transpennine Trail a few miles away and lots of cycle paths/trails on your doorstep. Local real ale pubs and plenty of cafes in Marsden village a short walk (15 minutes) along the canal. Beautiful scenery, views from the cottage are amazing.

The ground floor flat, part of our family home in a Victorian end terrace is in a village two miles from Huddersfield. It offers a garden facing living/bedroom, separate kitchen and shower room. Such a beautiful part of the country. Perfect base for exploring on foot… with some great pubs within walking distance. We visited the Alma Inn - great food, beers and views. We also took the time to explore Mill Bank - there are many info boards as you walk around the village to help you learn of its history - past and more recent. Who would have known Big Daddy was brought up here. The property itself is compact, but has everything you need for a short break. Generally extremely quiet.
