Petite Retreat; Artist Studio

Our detached Spanish-style artist’s studio is within a 3 to 15 minute walk of all the best restaurants and shops in the lower Village of Montecito. It is an easy four block walk from the patio to beautiful Butterfly Beach. It is cozy, private and has a fabulous, hot, outside shower ! (Note; this shower is the only shower for the studio). Gaze at the stars while rinsing off the sand ! The studio space is small, and cozy, warm radiant concrete floors can be turned on in the chillier months.

I welcome you, your family, friends and pets to enjoy my family home, which is tastefully curated with art, books and antiques collected for generations. I lovingly tend the 1/2 acre of gardens which you are welcome to explore. One of my greatest joys in life is to offer my piece of paradise to the world. Founded in 1875 this Old West ranch allows guests to enjoy comfortable living in the Forest. Close to town but with no neighbors for miles. Hike forest trails with access from the property, a private, sustainable off the grid getaway. The Ranch has two spring fed ponds and a creek running through it. Interact with a wide variety of farm animals and experience abundant wildlife. Guests are provided a jeep to explore the majestic hills and the scenic 200-acre grounds.

Our property is a collection of former out-buildings for the Glendessary Manor estate of poet and composer, Robert Cameron Rogers. The Cozy Stone Cottage was originally a pump house for the beautiful water tower which you can see from the front garden. You’ll love its rustic atmosphere and the warm cozy feeling of The Stone Cottage, separate bedroom, small gas fireplace stove, and sweet patio to sit and relax or eat a meal. Come enjoy this wonderful retreat!

New bed, spacious bathroom, AC and heat, large TV and updates.

Nestled among the oaks with stunning canyon views, our 14x16 foot canvas tent sits on a 28 foot redwood deck. The porch, cantilevered into the trees is a fantastic place to enjoy your morning yoga or coffee ritual, read a book, or relax with a glass of rosé. NO SMOKING ALOUD / NO ANIMALS
