House holiday rentals in Mochlos

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Es war perfekt! Wir haben unseren Familienurlaub mit 2 Kindern dort gemacht und waren total begeistert. Die Lage der Wohnung insb. die Nähe zum Stand ist perfekt. Wir hatten für die gesamte Zeit einen Mietwagen, was ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen kann. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass der Pool separat ist und man so z.B. beim Essen keine Angst haben muss, dass die Kinder reinfallen. Charalampos ist ein super Gastgeber, sehr aufmerksam und antwortet sehr schnell. Wir waren uns danach einig, dass wir uns vorstellen können wieder zu kommen. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Snorkelling paradise! Nikos and the Stone House were both great. The house is small, but has everything you need, with the pool and BBQ area where we spent most of our time, and the steps down to the sea lead to a perfect spot for snorkelling, where we saw all sorts of types of sea life. Nikos was there with everything we needed, including recommendations of beaches / restaurants etc. Ierepetra is a much nicer town than people say and the Stone House is a 5 minute drive into town. You could walk, but we didn't. Would highly recommend!

Maison impeccable comme dans l annonce , proche commerces , restaurants , plages, route principale. La canée , Gorges de samaria 5h de voiture allée. Nous avons passé un excellent sejour .merci

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

Eine Perle und ein schöner Rückzugsort im Süden von Kreta. Die Villa verfügt über alles was das Herz begehrt, ein wunderschöne Aussicht, Pool und eine moderne Küche, die jedes Herz eines Hobby Kochs höher schlagen lässt. Das morgen und abendliche Bad im Pool mit der Aussicht werde ich vermissen. Da es fast keine Lichtverschmutzung hat, sieht man ein Sternenschauspiel und die Milchstrasse von blossem Auge. Einsame Strände sind mit dem Auto innert 30 Minuten sehr gut erreichen, somit ist ein Auto sehr empfehlenswert. Muss kein SUV sein. Sam ist jederzeit erreichbar und kommuniziert sehr schnell. Desweiteren steht er oder Lefteris mit Tips und Ratschlägen jederzeit zur Seite. Sam und Anel sind mehr als Super-Hosts und ich kann ihr Villa zu 200% empfehlen.

Es war ein sehr sehr schöner Urlaub, wir konnten uns in dem schönen Haus super erholen die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Wenn wir Hilfe benötigten war immer jemand zu erreichen. Antworten kamen immer sehr schnell. Vielen Dank und wir kommen gerne wieder.☺️

Very private, no noise from neighbors. We hardly heard any noise from the traffic as the apartment is not directly on the road. We stayed for a week and spent much time on the incredible balcony: you can always find a space in the shade there. We loved the Galini beach nearby. only downside is that you have to walk for 200 meters along the road, as there is no footpath. There is a private beach closer by, but not everyone will be willing to climb down. It's doable for most people, but it is no walk in the park. If you like solitude, or if the Galini beach is too crowded, then certainly try to go the private beach. The WiFi in the apartment and on the balcony is good enough to stream video to one laptop. We had a tremendous time and certainly will come back some time in the future

The house has such stunning interiors, it is laid out like a 5 star hotel suite with all the added extras too - top quality shampoo/conditioner, body lotion and more. Kitchen was outstanding with every device require including 2 coffee machines - capsules and filter. The lounge is really big and the interiors very high quality, the TV is massive! The beds are super comfy and the linens really wonderful cotton, with beautiful throw cushions and occasional chairs. It feels like a 5 star hotel. As you enter the house on the lower level there are 2 double bedrooms with a shared bathroom and the laundry room, one flight of stairs up is the lounge/kitchen, and outside patio, then up again to the top floor is the master bedroom with dressing room, storage cupboard, ensuite bathroom, and outside patio. All rooms have air-conditioning. Sitia is a lovely harbor town with many restaurants and a great beach, lots of others a short drive away. Totally recommend this place - we hit the jackpot.

Wir verbrachten wunderschöne und erholsame Ferien in Dimitris Appartement. Die Wohnung ist traumhaft schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit qualitativ hochstehenden Möbel und es fehlt wirklich an gar nichts. Die Terasse hat einen einzigartigen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer und wir haben viele schöne Stunden dort verbracht. Dimitris ist super freundlich, stets erreichbar und mit hilfreichen Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants usw. hat er uns sehr geholfen. Der Transfer vom Flughafen hat er uns auch organisiert und es hat bestens geklappt. Auch die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt. Supermarkt und Restaurants sind fussgängig gut erreichbar und die Busstation ist gleich auf der anderen Strassenseite. Wir können das Appartement wärmstens empfehlen, für uns das schönste bisher und wir werden gerne an die Zeit zurückdenken und bald mal wiederkommen.

Samen met ons gezin mochten wij voor een aantal nachten in dit mooie, schone en nieuwe appartement slapen. Het was van alles voorzien en alles was beloopbaar; dichtbij het centrum, supermarkt en de zee. Antigoni en haar moeder kwamen regelmatig even bij ons vragen of alles naar wens was en brachten heerlijke Griekse lekkernijen mee. Wij hebben ons heel thuis gevoeld en ik raad zeker iedereen aan om hier te verblijven!

What a find this place was. Beautifully restored traditional house in an amazingly beautiful village in the hills above the Pefki Gorge. The house is well provisioned and very tastefully decorated. Great ventilation and insect screens on the windows. We were there for a week and the temps were very hot, but we didn't need to use the AC at all. Wonderful local taverna - we went three times. Don't miss the Sunday night music and traditional dancing. Fanis the owner is very friendly and absolutely hilarious. A great local kafeneio - don't ask for a menu, just ask what's for lunch. Great views to the Libyan Sea - it is just 10 minutes down to Makry Gialo. Search around and you will find quiet beaches without rows of sunbeds if that's not your thing. A great base to explore East Crete, there are awesome mountain roads with cute villages and amazing views. Elina gave us great recommendations for restaurants and was very helpful. We loved this place. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Die Unterkunft war genau wie beschrieben. Sehr freundliche Vermieterin. Auf Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Ein früherer Check in war problemlos möglich. Auf Nachrichten wurde schnell und freundlich geantwortet

Wat een heerlijke plek en wat een schitterend uitzicht over zee. Tot een uur of 15:00 volop zon (gunstig in de maand mei dat wij er waren) maar altijd plek op het terras in de schaduw met zowel ligstoelen als gewone stoelen met veel verschillende kussens. Daarna kun je op het kiezelstrand gaan zitten en ook daar kan je eventueel in de schaduw zitten. Het strand wordt nauwelijks door andere mensen gebruikt omdat het buiten de bebouwde kom ligt. Na het zwemmen kan je op je eigen parkeerplaats lekker buiten douchen. Het appartement ligt op de eerste etage en heeft een eigen opgang en overal horren (dus geen last van muggen). De weg hoor je wel maar wij hebben daar geen last van gehad. Wij hebben erg goed gegeten in Koutsouros (op advies van Irene) en in Makry Gialos. Irene is een heel prettige host en reageert snel. Helaas moesten we na 5 nachten weer verder want we hadden graag nog een aantal dagen willen blijven. Een echte aanrader. Zowel dit appartement als het zuidoosten van Kreta.

Wir waren zu zweit für insgesamt fünf Nächte vor Ort. Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft und liegt direkt in einer schönen Bucht mit einem schönen Strand. Für zwei Personen ist die Unterkunft vom Platz her völlig ausreichend und gut ausgestattet. Am Strand befindet sich ein Restaurant mit leckerem griechischen Essen zu fairen Preisen. Die Bucht eignet sich super zum schnorcheln und zum schwimmen, da das Meer die meiste Zeit sehr ruhig ist. Möchte man mehr erleben, als den Tag am Meer zu verbringen, so ist man definitiv auf ein Auto angewiesen, was für Kreta aber normal ist. Christina als Host war sehr herzhaft, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Hatte man Fragen, so wurden diese umgehend via Textnachricht beantwortet. Ich kann die Unterkunft und Christina als Host nur jedem empfehlen.

We had a great stay. The co-Host Rea was super responsive and the views were great as you can see in the pictures. The flat was clean and has a spaciuos balcony. On premises parking was not possible, but there are parking possibilities next to the road. The place is quite remote, no supermarkets or restaurants nearby, a car is needed. All in all we can recomment to stay here!

Die Wohnung liegt sehr Zentral im Ort , zu Fuß ist man in weniger als 10 min am wunderschönen , etwas vollem Sandstrand; oder am wunderschönen naturbelassenen Strand mit Stein -Sand -Bäumen und Palmen; Chris ist ein super guter Host, immer da wenn man ihn braucht und trotzdem hatte man seine Privatsfähre. Gerne wieder

Alles sehr gepflegt - die Lage fussläufig zum Stand ist unschlagbar. Freundlicher Empfang der Gastgeberin, sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Despinas Wohnung. Einfach alles hat uns gefallen und wir haben uns willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Die Beschreibung ist schon toll, die Wirklichkeit ist noch viel besser. Despina ist immer hilfsbereit und ansprechbar. Wir hatten etwas Mühe die Unterkunft zu finden. Ich habe Despina angeschrieben und sie hat sofort reagiert. Sie hat mit uns einen Treffpunkt vereinbart. Dort hat sie dann schon auf uns gewartet 🙏. Wir möchten unbedingt wiederkommen, es gibt noch so viel zu entdecken in Ostkreta. Ganz lieben Dank, liebe Despina und liebe Grüße an deine Mama ❤️

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The view of the water is absolutely beautiful. The host was incredibly helpful and even assisted us in booking our car rental for the vacation. The place was clean and well-maintained. The location is also great, with restaurants just a short walk away.

Enjoyed my stay at Petros residence. Very private and peaceful location. The scenery is beautiful. I was working majority of the time while here but the WiFi was great, had peace and quiet, enjoyed amazing hikes in the Istro area and beach every morning. The room is clean, way more spacious than the pics even seem, had amenities that you need and overall comfortable. Close to some restaurants and markets. Definitely recommend.

We loved our stay! The apartment is located just on top of the Taverna and about 15 meters from the beach. Within 5 minutes walk there is also a yoga location offering amazing drop in classes. From the moment we drove into the town we were warmly greeted by the lambros family. We spent the next 5 days at the beach and taverna relaxing. It was a great experience and we truly felt part of the local community for the short period we stayed. I highly recommend it if you want to relax and do less rather than more! The apartment is spacious and provides all you need for your stay, including a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to chill.

Der Aufenthalt war super. Die Lage mit dieser schönen Aussicht direkt auf das Meer war hervorragend! Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und den Kindern hat es auch super gefallen. Wir konnten uns immer an Karolos wenden und er hat uns super Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen gegeben. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!
