Lake house holiday rentals in Mohonk Lake

We had the BEST TIME at this fantastic Lakeside house in Valatie!  The house itself has 3 good bedrooms – 2 large bedrooms upstairs with a nice bathroom and tub.  The downstairs has the other cute bedroom, another full bathroom,  a good sized kitchen open to a great and large living and dining area. The VIEW from the main room is stunning and was our ‘TV’ for the week.  The lake is just gorgeous!  It has a little dock with kayaks and plenty of nice seating and lounge chairs.  It’s great to have a full grass lawn !  The pups loved the house and the yard and the lake!  The house was super clean and roomy but cozy in it’s feel.  So many great little towns nearby – it was just the perfect house to get away from the city!  The community was chill, even tho it was Memorial Day weekend.  Thanks to Michael who was super responsive (not that we needed anything!) but if we had a question. Etc.  Thank you Michael ! We hope to be back for another visit !!!  

The best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at! It truly felt like home—every detail was so thoughtfully taken care of. You have everything you need for a comfortable stay, from a well-stocked space to those little touches that make a big difference. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and even though it rained, the hosts had dry firewood ready for the fireplace, which made it feel extra warm and inviting. We loved sitting by the lake and even saw a fish jump out of the water—such a magical moment! Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. And thank you so much for approving our cats to stay with us—it meant the world. If we could give 10 stars, we absolutely would. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming getaway. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Great property, great host. always in communication throughout the stay, helpful with any questions we had. comfortable house, great spaces to relax and take in the scenery. outdoor kitchen/grill is awesome for cooking up burgers and dogs while relaxing on the deck.

Juliana and Paul were great hosts! There was a storm the day we arrived and they communicated about the towns power outage before our arrival. They had generators on hand and Paul set up the generator and had many extension cords, flashlights and called local supermarkets/restaurants for us. Luckily the outage was just a few hours. The place was clean and spotless. It was quiet and a short drive into Main Street where you can find restaurants. It is close to many beautiful hikes. We would certainly return as it was a joy to stay in such a peaceful home.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakefront house! The location is peaceful and scenic—waking up to the view of the water each morning was truly special. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We especially loved spending time on the deck and enjoying the calm of the lake. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in a breeze. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a quiet escape in nature!

Our family had a lovely time at the Creekside Retreat. We arrived to a clean house with clear instructions for entering. Parking was convenient to the front door. We settled in and played scrabble which was provided by the host in the game cabinet. The second day we enjoyed a great breakfast at a local diner and went hiking about 20 miles away at Minnewaska state park. There was also a walking trail much closer we may check out on another trip. There was a park nearby my children walked to play baseball. Our two dogs made themselves at home. The creek was flooded so we weren’t able to enjoy the deck on it or the boat - maybe next time. The hot tub also didn’t work while we were there but we didn’t realize until later in our stay so it may have been a simple solution. The host generously left towels, blankets, and toiletries but we couldn’t find wash cloths. Wood was left out for the fire. Overall, we had what we needed for a great weekend getaway.

Lovely space to stay! We stayed for one night to go to a concert at Bethel Woods. It was perfect for a quiet space to return to with a beautiful view.

The lakehouse looks exactly like the photos - stylish and cozy. The house looks small from the outside, but we were amazed by how well it fit our family of seven adults and two toddlers. The instructions/guide to the house was clearly written and super helpful, and Vincent was very easy to communicate with, usually responding right away. We were grateful for all the amenities the house comes with. In addition to enjoying the house itself and the gorgeous deck, we also made smores one night in the fire pit and went kayaking with the little ones. The owner provides guests with bracelets that give access to the community amenities as well. The community pool, playground, and little beach were all beautiful and very well maintained. Our little ones especially loved this weekend!

We had an incredible stay at this airbnb! It was so lovely, comfortable, spacious and had so many wonderful amenities. The lake was beautiful, and the house was equipped with mostly everything you need for a long weekend getaway. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you for everything, Nataliya !

We had a fantastic weekend getaway for a friend’s reunion! Our group got to enjoy the beautiful sights and the charming aspects of this truly unique home. We couldn’t have picked a better place for the occasion and the location has so many lovely nature walks and hikes nearby. Our hosts were very accommodating and the place was even better than the listing photos!

We had a lovely stay! Stocked kitchen to prepare everything you need to keep you fueled up while enjoying the outdoors. This home has everything the family needs to take full advantage of the lake and the yard. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to play badminton and kick around a soccer ball after kayaking on the lake. And at night the game room is stocked with various games to keep you and your family entertained. So grateful to have spent our long weekend here. Highly recommend.

Staying at this nature oasis was a perfect birthday treat for my boyfriend! We loved using all the amenities offered with the place including the hot tub, and sauna. The Airbnb was much more spacious than I originally imagined but it was such a beautiful surprise! Would definitely come again for another hiking trip and summer adventure :)

Miguel is a great host. He was really helpful and responsive. His house was extremely well equipped and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful. Probably our best Airbnb experience in the US.

We had such a great experience staying at this Airbnb. The house was beautiful, super clean, and the view was just perfect honestly even better than the photos. What really made our stay stand out though was the host, Sunny. He was amazing so helpful, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. As a Muslim family, we really appreciated how respectful and considerate he was. He made sure we had our privacy and went out of his way to make everything as easy and comfortable as possible for us. It honestly felt like staying at a friend’s place. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay.

We had an amazing weekend in the Catskills thanks to The Nest at Swiss. We brought five kids and 5 adults and we had the greatest time. Plenty of room to spread out while also a ton to do. We watched movies, played cards, made pop corn, built fires, smoked meat, went fishing, kayaking, played endless games of manhunt and monopoly. The Nest was set up for everything. We really enjoyed the short walks into Jeffersonville and hanging out on the decks. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect for Memorial Day weekend it did not matter to us. The Nest is also really close to Bethel Woods and we took him to concert on Saturday night super convenient location. The house was fully stocked and had everything we can think of. Well done Matthew!

I want to thank Yanna for a wonderful time at her beautiful lake home. My friends and I stayed for a few days and it was an awesome experience. Simply 100% Beautiful. The beautiful scenery and living accommodations were emasculate. Yanna was very responsive and receptive to our requests and messages. I would recommend staying at this property for sure and my friends and I are already talking about when we’re going back. Thank you Yanna!

After using Airbnb for years now no other place was a perfect 10. The lake house was simply great. Not only the physical status but the follow up and generosity of the hosts where beyond. We didn’t want to leave.

Chandra’s house was comfortable, clean, spacious, and filled to the brim with thoughtful touches (literally — there was a fully stocked spice rack and endless supplies for all your cooking needs! The best part: paper towel refills, which so many other hosts miss). You can tell this is truly a home for the family. Beyond that, the backyard is something to marvel at during sunset. Picturesque falls right as you step outside. I can imagine this place goes to another level during peak fall season. Location made it easy to commute to nearby towns like Kingston, Livingston Manor, etc. My only flag is you have to really watch your step going down the stairs to view the creek. Nothing that impacted our stay though and I highly recommend Chandra’s home whether you’re traveling with a few people or a family. There’s enough space for it all!

This stat was truly unforgettable. The home felt like a true sanctuary - peaceful, spotless, open and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Adele was an amazing host! She went above and beyond, even leaving a thoughtful, personalized note for our anniversary, which meant a lot to us! The views were stunning, the sounds of nature were so calming, and my partner loved fishing at the lake every day. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and connection with nature. This has been my favorite trip so far, and I can’t wait to come back with friends and family to share this little piece of heaven. Highly recommend 10/10!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Zahra’s home. The home was just as described and was the perfect cozy sanctuary we needed. Nicely located and close to all . Appointed with all one could want for a month long stay. Zahra is truly a five star host and went well above, with quick responses and furnishing us with a tree for the holidays. Can’t recommend enough if you’re planning a trip to the Hudson Valley area.

What a gorgeous place!! I would stay here forever if I could. Rhona’s home was spotless, beautifully decorated/designed and the views were spectacular. The check in process was extremely easy and smooth and Rhona was proactive and communicative with me throughout. Would absolutely stay here again.
