(North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. Without hordes of tourists. (South). We absolutely LOVED our stay at Rob's place! We have never felt so at peace in our lives. We were able to take a boat out in the morning and we ended up being the only ones on the water it was so quiet and peaceful. The house itself is gorgeous, comfortable and has everything we needed. We will definitely be back!!!

Our family of 3 loved our 6 night stay with Bert and Gineke. They were so welcoming and hospitable, and eager to help in any way. We were greeted with a homemade lemon cake, and made comfortable at every turn. we feel we have new friends. We were hoping for both rest and fun things to do and found both for our stay in Giethoorn. (we came on train/bus, and then just rented bikes for our whole stay so that we would easily be able to get around). Found so many beautiful bike routes to explore.

Cozy campsite and Geesje and her husband are flexible, approachable, sociable and sanitary is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is simply TOP. In short, a welcoming stay and a beautiful environment for cycling or wandering around the historic Meppel.

Beautiful cabin by the water. Great to stay over night in Giethoorn. We had a lovely time. Kitchen is well equipped. Just a note, the bedroom with the bunk beds might be too small for bigger sized adults.
