At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

The cabin is quite small but we have everything you need for a comfortable stay and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the countryside. Located in a safe area. We have a fire pit area. We loved staying at Nicolas’ home! It was so peaceful and beautiful. The views are amazing and loved waking up to a beautiful view in the morning. Although our trip was short, we enlisted every minute of it! The location is a bit far from the lively cities but the boat rides are pretty consistent so getting around was not difficult at all. Not to mention Nicola’s had recommended to us the best way of transportation around cities so that was help for sure.

A beautiful, comfortable , well appointed home set in the midst of the most breathtaking vista you could imagine. The view of the lake and volcanos is expansive and ever changing with the time and weather, but always awe inspiring. The pool and jacuzzi were a relaxing treat after a day of exploring! The interior was sparkling clean and very comfortable.

the property was beautiful unfortunately we used it for a funeral stay and was not able to use the amenities but the blessing was the entire family was able to stay at the property and they loved it. It was safe and she had comfortable we had a good night's rest after being up 16 hours definitely recommend it she was a great host.

Magical Airbnb perfect for retreating from the world and being in nature. The scenery and natural sounds around it are very special. We stayed there for 25 days and had an amazing time. There’s a small harbor 5 minutes from the cabin where you can take a boat taxi to explore the lake and also go for a swim which we enjoyed multiple times. You should know that this cabin is in the middle of nature so you can expect little insects and flies, which for us wasn’t a problem. Pat’s communication was great and Marcelo, who’s the guardian of the house was very helpful and made us feel at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to dive
