Myrsini’s Castle House is situated in the Byzantine Castle of Monemvasia, by the western walls. Built in the 18th century, it reached its current form in 1898. The two-story stone house is strategically located very close to the Castle Gate and the main commercial street of the Castle. Also, it offers great views to the sea, the Citadel and the Upper City. This is my old family home. The house is bright and painted in light colors. Trying to preserve its old character, I kept some antique furniture, dishes, and even a chandelier above my parents' living room. It has a courtyard with a vine in the back and a lovely view just above the sea on the front balcony.
