Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Morakatiyara

Our stay at Hela Studio was lovely. We booked last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Hiriketiya. Marta was a great host and was very helpful with local recommendations and check in process. Marta also helped to arrange a realisable car transfer which was a great price.

This is a lovely AirBnB, located close to the beach and nearby restaurants. The property is beautifully decorated and was nice and clean on arrival. Beds are comfortable with AC in one bedroom and fans in the other. One thing to note is that the neighbours have 2 dogs who can bark quite a lot when walking up to the house - not the fault of the property just worth being aware so they don’t come as a surprise! Rebecca is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Thanks for a lovely stay!

First of all, I would like to thank the service staff, they are very helpful and friendly. The villa and furniture are very beautiful and elegant, one of the most beautiful villas we have visited, but there are some comments. The price is very high compared to the area, and there is a very, very large problem with flies, and I think it is because of the adjacent land, which is full of dirt. Also, the curtains in the bedrooms do not block the sun well, and there is no air conditioning in the sitting area or in the kitchen.

We loved staying at Shaun’s villa! Out of the eight places we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka, this was our favorite. The location, the villa, and being so close to the ocean was just what we needed. The villa was clean, well looked after, and felt really welcoming. Whenever we had a question, we got a quick and helpful reply, which made everything super easy. We also really liked the great food just across the street, which we could easily order to the villa. And being close to The Doctor’s House was a big plus – fun weekend market and tasty dinners in the evenings. We’re a family of four and felt super comfortable here. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

Sanjeewa and the team were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. The property is spectacular and is like taking a step back in time and very well maintained. The pool area was amazing and the chef did an amazing job for breakfast and dinner with an abundance of food for us. Would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you all so much.

We had a great stay at Dor’s beautiful home. It’s perfectly located, just a short walk to the beach and restaurants or a short Tuk Tuk ride to some of the further restaurants. The bathrooms are beautiful, shower head nice and strong. Air conditioning does the trick and the beds are comfortable. There is a nursery with a cot and change table so perfect for us with a 10 month old. Highly recommend you book this space!

5 min from the beach and up in the jungle, it’s the best place to stay if your looking for the calm. Breakfast and Yoga sessions were great. The staff very kind. I recommend 100%.

Our stay here was comfortable and pleasant. The host was so kind and generous. Harshani even went out of her way to prepare breakfast and lunch for us which was delicious and homely. We felt right at home at the stay. The stay is 4mins walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The host was very responsive and the stay looks just like in the pictures -clean. Highly recommend this stay!

Absolutely magical 3 weeks at Sudu Villa with our 5-month old son. Before check-in, Matt’s communication was excellent and was also reached out to by Charu, the Villa Manager, who both were happy to answer any questions we had. Check-in was smooth and we had the best time at Sudu Villa. Location is absolutely perfect, with easy walks to Pehebiya Beach and Hirikitiya. Charu was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay and couldn’t do enough for us, whether that’s organising surf lessons, tuktuks or airport transfers. Villa was immaculate with regular pool cleaning, we felt immediately relaxed from Day One. Will definitely be returning, a memorable few weeks.

Ruwan is a very dear person who goes out of her way to make sure you don't miss anything. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean. There was a fridge full of free water. Breakfast times were by arrangement, which we found very pleasant. Breakfast could have varied a bit more (there was the same thing every day). Ruwan organized transportation to the next accommodation at the Uber price. And the driver was also very nice. We took a trip to the turtles and Galle along with Ruwan, which I had honestly imagined a little differently. I thought he was like a tourist guide who also gives us information, but he just drove us. I found the price to be a bit too high for that. But it was still very nice and a good idea. We do not regret having spent 4 nights at Ruwan's and can recommend it with a clear conscience. I'd love to go there again.

We have stayed in around 180 Airbnbs and this is stand out one of the best! THE most fully equipped property we have ever come across, with all sorts of unexpected items such as mosquito repellent coils, filtered water, cooking oils and first aid kit! Eva and her manager, Tharush were amazingly friendly and accommodating. 5 star service and facilties to match! Can't recommend this place enough.

Darshaka and his mother are very kind and helpful and we had a warm welcome. Darshaka advices and helped us booking all kind of tours. His mother is an absolute cooking queen! If you want she can cook the most delicious dishes for you or she can give you a cooking class so you can learn and experience Sri Lanka’s local tasts😋. I would certainly recommend this place if you want to feel at home!

The place was easy to find, just a 20-minute walk from the beach. It’s spacious with a large balcony and close to the jungle, where we saw monkeys, parrots, chipmunks, peacocks, mongoose, and other wildlife. The area is quiet and far from busy spots, making it great for a peaceful stay. Our host, Sujeewa, was excellent—responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with, as he is an English teacher. He provided extra pillows and large water bottles (for a fee), ensuring a comfortable stay. He also helped with washing our clothes free of charge. There were a few extra fees, but they were reasonable. The internet was fast but limited to 10 GB/day; we paid extra to upgrade his plan to unlimited as we had to work during our stay. Using the AC also had a daily fee, as it’s not a standard amenity due to past misuse by guests leaving it on unnecessarily causing high electricity costs. Overall, the accommodation offers great value for its price, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

We stayed at Sanjayas place for four nights. The family was super kind and helped us with local advice such as restaurants and must-sees close by. They arranged transport to the house and again when we left. Their hospitality was warm and made us feel welcome. We would definitly recommend this place to others.

Very nice stay with this lovely family! They are very loving and truely cared about me. They made some food and shared it. Everything what I needed was there. Would highly recommend as a homestay.

Great apartment, had all the basic necessities! The host and family were so incredibly helpful! Gave us a number for a great tuck tuck driver, warned us about the rambunctious monkeys that like to stop by, tried to keep us up to date on the power outages and more. It’s a lovely little jungle villa, with that being said, jungle = lots of bugs, there’s no way around it. Just don’t leave any open food out and that will help lessen the bug situation. Also, mirissa beach (great spot for restaurants and beach days) is a bit too far to walk, so I’d recommend getting a scooter or a bike and the host has a person for that too!! All around, would stay again if we come back to Sri Lanka! Host and family were so so so helpful and friendly!

Most beautiful villa with everything you need! Walking distance to main beach and restaurants. So much to explore in both directions near the villa. Would highly recommend!

navigator directs on the other hand, our taxi driver got lost at first. Having a car , the location is good. Appartements are large, all appliances work. Housekeeping once a week Host is always available
