Atelier was inspired by painting holidays in France. It is a spacious studio at Hylands providing a base for escape, rest and adventure. It is cosy with a wood burner, uses high quality materials throughout, curated with love and care. Surrounded by beautiful gardens to explore, where you can dine al fresco or just sit and watch the wildlife and the ever changing views. It's 12 minutes walk to Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes to our local pub, the 'Riflemans Arms'.

Our self-catering flat is in arguably the most charming and interesting part of the city - right next to Lancaster Castle - in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but take a couple of minutes’ walk and you’re at the heart of town. We welcome people looking for a peaceful, quiet stay in this historic area.
