Family-friendly holiday rentals in Moreton Island

Annette is The Best host you can ask for. Very responsive, proactive and really good-hearted. She took the extra effort to inform me of potential road closures on my road trip due to flood. Not only that, upon hearing that my flight timing from Singapore was advanced by few hours, without any hesitation she told me to just come early 7am check in, and this happened months before the trip, and even told me that no worries about any potential booking the day before. Talking about the house, it was great. Lots of space and privacy, and the jacuzzi is wonderful to use on a cold early winter night. It’s like onsen experience but a lot more private. The surrounding of the house is beautiful and peaceful. Of course you will need car to get around but then again you need a car everywhere in Australia. And the supermarket is just 3 minutes drive away within the same estate (no need to drive to main roads). Overall if we come back to Brisbane again, we know where to stay. Thank you Annette!

Booked this AirBnb due to close proximity to our wedding venue. Groom and groomsmen stayed here the night prior to the wedding. I did not read the listing correctly and was unaware the the sleeping arrangement is one large bedroom with multiple beds, dorm style! Whoops. This was written on the listing however may need to be made clearer. The house and grounds itself was lovely and beautiful views.

Very peaceful property and lovely area! Cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was great for the kids. Hosts were very responsive and even dropped off a basket of homemade goodies and delicious scones! We had a great stay.

We would have stayed longer if the place was available. We stayed for 1 week and it was well worth what we paid for. The place was homely, clean and spacious. We were able to cook our own meals with the fully equipped kitchen. The location is perfect, you have the train station across the road and you’re behind the town centre so everything is accessible via walk; restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries. But importantly, it’s still quiet and private despite it being so close to everything. Adam was a great host, very friendly and his communication was excellent. We had trouble with the vacuum and he came through and helped us with it. We will absolutely stay again when we visit family in Cleveland. Thanks Adam! Highly recommend.

We stayed in Possums Retreat (unfortunately just for one night) and had a fantastic time. We love this place and will definately be returning. From the awesome spa, lovely bathroom, and tasteful decor, to the thoughtful breakfast hamper supplied, everything exceeded our expectations. We didn't hear the rooster make a noise until well after 8, and we had been up for a while by then! Great directions from the hosts, who are super thoughtful, even supplying new runners beside the beds as the weather was so cold. We will definitely be back!

We had an awesome family weekend at Doug's place. The location and views were perfect and it's a prime spot to watch the rising sun. There are bars and takeaway in close proximity and the apartment is also well stocked. We'll definitely look to book again.

Wonderful experience… clean and tidy home

My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Margot's apartment. The location is great, handy to local pubs, restaurants and the ferry, and a beautiful spot overlooking the river. The apartment was clean and as described. Communication with Margot was prompt and easy and she thoughtfully provided great instructions on how to check in, local recommendations etc. We would definitely book again.

Beautiful, peaceful location, central to Hinterland sights, with lovely views from very spacious and comfortable living areas (both inside and out).

Absolutely stunning property. Everything was perfect we had a great break there. Our pup loved the place, she played tennis, love meeting Mixie. Great hosts

What a beautiful place. Great, warm, comfort home with fabulous amenities. Maleny coffee and fantastic coffee machine. Nathan was so helpful and easy to deal with. Would definitely go back. Thanks for such a wonderful time staying in your home.

My daughter was at the Wesley Hospital for two weeks and we required accommodation that was close, affordable and able to have our two dogs, one large border collie and a small poodle. Dawn was very accommodating and welcoming and allowed us to have our furr babies in this hard time. The house was so clean and had beautiful furniture and beds. The beds were so comfy! There is no yard for the dogs, just for future guests but it's no problem if you walk them everyday and there is a enclosed front balcony which we loved to sit on. Thank you Dawn for your beautiful home and your welcoming nature. We will miss the comfy beds !

Leonie went above and beyond to make our stay just perfect .. she even graciously gave us an extended checkout which helped us out enormously. There was absolutely nothing we needed that she didn't provide. Her accommodation is spotless . She generously provided croissants butter jams etc .. 2 differents yogurts blueberries .. eggs .. milk and all the condiments as well as selections of tea and coffee and cooking essentials. The kitchen crockery cutlery glasses etc were all gorgeous. The bathroom was also spotless with beautiful products and Leonie thought of everything from hairdryer to deodorant and toothpaste . to sunscreens .. amazzzing! It's also within walking distance to so many great restaurants .. we especially loved Vietnam House and the stunning dog friendly Victoria park is right there. All in all we wished we could have stayed forever! Thankyou so much Leonie you made our Xmas Extra Special .. we just hope we can rebook on future visits!🪷

Margeurite has made her B&B a real stand out. She has catered for every need, from any kitchen item down to ball throwers and balls for dogs. Her cottage is very cute, comfy, quiet and tidy. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to other people.

Fabulous views and gorgeous seaside style.

We so enjoyed the peace and quiet that permeated the space, along with the magnesium pool. We were very appreciative of the many extras provided that we have not come across in other AirBnB’s. We found Reinhold a very gracious and welcoming host, and just loved his little pup, Jack. Thank you Reinhold for opening up your slice of paradise to us. 😃👍😃💪😃

honestly loveee this place. it was sooo comfortable and it feels so homey. and the host made sure that we were alright with the fact that the house was not in the cbd. it was really convenient, near coles and the train station. the communication was great and the host even recommended nice activities to do!!

Spectacular! Neil and Sherie were extremely responsive and helpful from the outset. It was a welcome change to be greeted by the owners and their fur-baby, shown around the property and given lots of helpful tips. The apartment is modern and felt like home from the moment we walked in. It had everything we needed for us, our baby and our dog. Neil and Sherie have thought of everything, including beach towels, generous pantry items and fridge snacks. The location is incredible and a very short pleasant walk from the beach, cafe and our fiends place. We will definitely stay with Neil and Sherie again.

A beautiful apartment to stay in. Very clean, everything you needed and more. Perfect location and close to everything. You could walk everywhere. Great communication from Sandra as well. Very accomodating and lovely. Finding the key was easy with the instructions provided. Parking was a bit tricky but I paid to park at Opera Apartments for convenience at $30 per night - I had to get there early to purchase parking from the front desk as they closed at 12 on the weekend. They had to let me in as I didn’t have the apartment key yet but I could get to ground floor and explore the city, without a key, until check in. Highly recommend. I will stay there again when I return to the city.

An exceptional stay. Hosts were friendly and allowed me to check in early. Interior was fabulous. Exterior patio/garden was a suburban paradise with gorgeous vegetation and ample bird life. I felt like I could have been in Costa Rica. Six out of five stars!!!

We had a wonderful stay, the view is stunning exactly like the photos and even better when you get to see it yourself sitting on your own balcony sipping on your morning coffee watching the sunrise over the ocean. It is a very clean and well presented place, it even smells fresh and clean. Also There is plenty of off street parking and very easy to check in.

We had a lovely stay at Fleur and Peter’s place. The apartment was well-located close to shops, places to eat, and the beach. It came with all the amenities we needed to have a comfortable stay, including reliable wifi. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Overall, no complaints and would stay again the next time well up in Sunshine Coast.
