Holiday houses in Motrone

We booked this for a girls holiday and we had the best week. We didn’t hire a car, we walked to a few of neighbouring towns and got a taxi to Lucca, and a train to Florence one day. Neighbouring towns have small supermarkets and the walks to them were enjoyable, the scenery is truly incredible. Lucca is beautiful and has incredible markets, it’s a must see if you stay here. The villa itself is exactly as shown in the pictures, the pool area is gorgeous, we sat around the table every night for dinner, and when it’s dark there’s clusters of fireflies sparkling in the roses, it was magical. Stefania was great, very responsive and there if we needed her. We’d definitely recommend and book this villa again in the future!

Lucca is such a beautiful, vibrant and historic place, and Leandro’s apartment certainly added to the amazing few days we had there. Leandro was always responsive where needed, with clear instructions as to how to find the apartment, and a very detailed guest book detailing the local restaurants and landmarks. The apartment itself is totally spotless, with modern furniture throughout. There is plenty of space as well as a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is very tastefully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, I fully recommend Leandro’s apartment, and if we are lucky enough to return to Lucca, we would have no hesitation to come back here.

This was a fantastic place with a great view. The host was hospitable more than he even needed to be. I enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

This was the best place we stayed on our Italy trip! The region is so unique, with winding mountainous roads, lush forest, and ancient buildings. The property was very clean, with all the amenities you need to have a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was renovated and spacious, and the view was magnificent! Lindie was a fantastic host, very responsive and gave us very useful recommendations for the local restaurant and hiking trails nearby. Highly recommend staying here if you want a unique experience in the mountains!!

Simply unbelievable – a secluded haven with everything you'd want from a holiday home in the Italian countryside. We spent 6 days with our two young kids at Monica's place, and had one of the best holidays ever. The house is beautiful, well-equipped and charming, and the views are out of this world. Sunset out of the bedroom window will stay with me forever! Then there's the gardens - lots of room for kids to run around in complete safety, with a large infinity pool (cold in May, but still enjoyed every day by us and the kids… the view was so beautiful I proposed to my fiancee there 🥳), and also a playground and outdoor bowls lane. There's an excellent restaurant within 5 minutes walk, but Sillico is a quiet, beautiful medieval hamlet and not much more – be aware that to get anywhere you'll need to drive 12 minutes down quite a narrow twisty road. It didn't bother me, but just something to be aware of for less confident drivers. Overall: one of the best places I've ever stayed!

Our stay in Massimo's and Roberta's house exceeded all our expectations. The house is located with the most spectacular view you can imagine over the mountains and the house is incredibly beautiful, filled with nice details. We and our children have loved staying here. The children have been excited about the little lizards on the terrace, the fairy-tale door in the tree, the toys they have borrowed and being able to step out onto the terrace directly when they wake up in the morning. We have felt equally excited to enjoy the incredible view, eat dinners on the terrace and the tranquility around the house. We have never lived in such a beautiful place. Thank you for all your help with answering questions, pizza baking and for the fantastic breakfast we have received every morning. You can't feel more welcome and you can't imagine better hosts!

We were most impressed by the magnificent view, which gave us a great end to the day every evening on the beautiful olive terrace. The accommodation was nice and clean and the bed was ultra cozy, perfect to sink into the pillows after a long action-packed day. In addition, the small apartment offers everything you need - for the still cool nights, the pellet stove has served us very well. The bathroom in particular was beautifully decorated and very clean and also had a fantastic view over the terrace. Maria-Elena was always super friendly and very accommodating. We are already looking forward to seeing you again in beautiful Benabbio.
