As a base for sightseeing in Azumino and Hakuba and Kamikochi, you can stay comfortably from one night to consecutive nights. Access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama Kurobe is also good, making it possible for group trips, family trips, and long-term stays.There is a washing machine and dryer, and it is comfortable for consecutive nights. Kiso Valley, Nagano Prefecture | A quiet, privately rented accommodation built in 1931

Located in the town next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo, it has a historic townscape that has flourished as a production area for Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period. It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been designated as a Jūdenden Kenpon Zone and still has lacquerware shops lining the streets. Our house is available for rent as a whole, limited to one group per day, without meals. It takes a little time to get around, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in this area, but I think that's why this place has quietness and the beauty of casual, simple everyday life. I would be happy if you could stay as if you were living in this good old town, reading, taking walks, enjoying local drinks (sake, wine), sleeping in and waking up slowly. It is an old house in a mountain valley, and there are no screen doors, so in the warm season, wildlife may come in. The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail. We are preparing to welcome you with the house as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with an open mind. We use the accommodation fees we receive from guests to repair the building, and I would like to take care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. When you enter the house from the front entrance, you may feel as if you are in an old Japanese house. You can also enjoy the "horigotatsu" and "open-air bath".
