Welcome to [3Re: Kura], a private inn that has been reborn into a comfortable space while retaining the good qualities of an old house. [Re Origine (Use what you can and don't destroy more than you need)] [Re Make (reuse and rebirth)] [Re Meaning (Redefining the value of the countryside)] Based on the concept of the three Re's, we strive to create new value while cherishing our roots. We are trying to see if we can make use of the house with a warehouse. My imagination is running wild, thinking of turning the warehouse into a theater room. The warehouse has a BBQ set, outdoor chairs, outdoor tables, fire pits, etc. You can enjoy a tent sauna and BBQ in the large garden. The facility is located at the foot of Mt. Ibuki in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture. Enjoy a relaxing time feeling the blessings of the mountains and nature to your heart's content. We also rent BBQ grills and tent saunas, so you can enjoy an extraordinary experience while feeling at one with nature. * We may not be able to provide a tent sauna depending on availability. 京町家コテージkarigane

Built in the early Showa era and long used as a tea ceremony classroom, the townhouse has been reborn as a private rental inn, "Kyomachiya Cottage karigane". It is a 1-minute walk to the hot springs and Daikokuji Temple, which has deep ties to tea. Shino, with its unique cafes, coffee roasters, delicious Japanese confectionery stores, bakeries, and soba shops. Please use the carefully restored Kyomachiya as your base for sightseeing in northern Kyoto, where time flows slowly, with a focus on natural materials and traditional craftsmanship by Miyadai Koge and Saigo craftsmen.

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
