This house has everything you need for a getaway. We stayed on the decks more than in the house. The furniture outside has been upgraded since the photos on the listing. Kitchen was spotless and had everything I need to cook for my family. I will be back. There are 125 steps to get to the water. I knew it would be a trek, so it didn’t bother me. But, just a heads up if you aren’t able to climb that many steps. All of the houses are like that.

An excellent spot for enjoying the Nantahala National Forest, as well as having ample room and accomodations for guests and vehicles.

We loved our stay over Thanksgiving with our kids and grandkids. The house was comfortable with plenty of room and fantastic views of the lake below and the mountains that surrounded us. Easy to get into Murphy for shopping and restaurants. We loved the Chop House!! We will book this house again!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb for our girls’ weekend! The house was absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. Every one of us slept comfortably, which can be rare when traveling in a group, but this place was so well set up. The location was secluded and very private, surrounded by nature, which made for such a peaceful retreat. We even saw a lot of deer right outside, which was a beautiful touch! Our host was fantastic—very responsive and incredibly helpful with recommendations. She suggested some great wineries and restaurants in the area, as well as local hikes to explore. One of her recommendations, Roo Winery, was a standout. We went there and had a wonderful experience—the wine and atmosphere were great. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we would definitely come back!

A Hidden Gem! A Perfect Lakeside Getaway The House on the Cove is an absolute dream. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with breathtaking views of the lake and a serene, private setting that instantly melts your stress away. The home itself is beautifully maintained, blending modern comfort with charming, cozy touches that make it feel both luxurious and inviting. The private inground pool is truly a showstopper—crystal clear, perfectly positioned, and surrounded by peaceful scenery. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee by the water, taking a sunset swim, or relaxing under the stars, the atmosphere is nothing short of magical. Inside, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The space is immaculate, well-stocked, and designed with comfort in mind. It’s clear the hosts take immense pride in making sure guests feel at home—and they’ve succeeded tenfold.

Beautiful home and plenty of space. Three car garage could only park 2 cars because of the ping pong and pool table that were not allowed to be moved. This would have been good information to have ahead of time. The only way to get to the pool was to go through one of the lower level bedrooms. Some inconveniences, but other than that beautiful views, peaceful, and a lot to do. Gina was easy to work with. When we are back in the area we will book here again.

Lindsay is a terrific host, very responsive and personable. The house was absolutely beautiful, well-appointed, spacious, and easily accommodated our group of ten. We were in town for a mother daughter weekend and made so many lovely memories. I hope to stay there again when we return.

Had an absolutely amazing time staying here. It was beyond our expectations. The house itself is incredibly modern. You feel like you’re living inside a magazine photo. Every day we were sitting inside, we could see the farm animals grazing. In addition, the location is perfect because you are just a few minutes away from the main Ellijay city center with tons of restaurants and cute shops to explore. However, whenever you come back to the Air bnb, you feel like you’re in a rural oasis. All of this doesn’t even mention how amazing it was to be able to interact with Ted himself and his farm animals. He allowed us the opportunity to feed them, tour the farm, try some of their produce, and generally get an idea of what it’s like to take care of a farm like their’s. They also have multiple other properties on site in case you have a large group of people. Ted himself was everything you could want from an Air bnb host: friendly, positive, helpful, and responsive. Can’t wait to be back soon!

Paige’s place was probably one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. It was super clean, peaceful and fully stocked so it made it feel just like home. Paige was very friendly and responsive. My family and I would definitely stay there again!

The house was exactly as pictured and spotlessly clean. The exterior and lawn was really well maintained and it was so nice spending time outside. The house was well-stocked and everything worked perfectly. Elizabeth’s house met all expectations. You will not regret booking!

Many Airbnb‘s are listed as luxury but often miss the mark. This house has superseded that definition. Not only is it one of the most beautiful houses in which all of us have ever stayed, but it was also brilliantly appointed with that which you might need. The design of the house was incredible and so comfortable that we opted to eat in each night. Cooking in the kitchen was not only enjoyable, but we were left with nothing to be desired in terms of implements or appliances. We all hope to return for another stay.

We had a great stay! The view was amazing and we loved being able to enjoy it from the porch. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. The pictures are exactly as the house looks. It’s a cozy place. I would recommend staying here if you wanted a quite relaxing vacation home.

Wow… just wow. What a wonderful girls weekend we had at Terry’s place! The four of us haven’t been in the same place for over a decade & we had such a relaxing time!! The views were breathtaking and Terry was the perfect host! He was so very responsive & the house met our every need and then some!! Would LOVE to come back & stay again sometime!

We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back! The furnishings and beds were high end and very comfortable. The view from the house is incredible.

This is the perfect getaway spot to unplug and unwind. The views are spectacular, the hikes are great and the lake being so close was perfect. Our 2 year old had a great time on the trails and hammocks up top as well as swimming in the lake. If you need suggestions on what to do the guidebook (or contacting the hosts) will give you all the info you need. The hosts are there to answer any and all questions incredibly quickly as well as lead you in the right direction for things to do. The kitchen is well stocked so if you want to stay on site just pack groceries and you’ll never want to leave. This cabin is nice and private with all the romantic touches. We definitely will be back to keep exploring the area!

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. Kids had a blast kayaking the creek. The swing into creek was a big plus for kids also. House was clean and loved the screened in porch with fireplace and tv.

Great stay in Highlands! A few things to note - the mile drive after you get off the main road is gravel and there’s no service. There was also no Uber/Lyft but we were driving so no issues there. Just a couple things to plan for during your stay! Overall, amazing place, extremely clean, & great communication with host. Would 100% stay here again!

Very peaceful cabin. Excellent view and plenty of outside sitting areas. Enjoyed using the wood pellet grill.

The sunsets from the porch are gorgeous. It is not only impressive that this home was built in just the perfect spot to catch an amazing sunset, but also nestled in the middle of Fontana Lake with a great view of the lake. I can’t say enough about this location! I’ve grown up coming to the Carolina’s and never knew about Fontana Lake. This cabin feels incredibly secluded and luxurious, but close enough to all the best adventure spots—Nantahala, Deep Creek, Smoky National Park, Fontana Lake access points, Appalachian Trail—you name it. There is even a great trailhead walking distance from the cabin that has great views of the lake, creeks, and challenging and diverse enough to walk 2-3x. We saw deer and wild turkey almost everyday and the wildflowers were in bloom all over. Additionally, the master bedroom has an amazing view from the bed. When I opened my eyes each morning, I had a view of the smokies that was mesmerizing. We all want to rent this cabin again!

It’s like stepping inside a magazine. Gorgeously decorated, every room. The house has everything you could need or want. Full kitchen, no expeensives spared vibes, it has it all. Plus 360 degrees of beautiful views. Plus, the river and the birds! We even saw a bald eagle while we were there in the back porch. Joni was very responsive and helpful.
