House holiday rentals in Muskegon River

This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying with Harriet. It is an amazing place located in a great spot to get to the beaches, restaurants and fun things to do in town. Communication with Harriet was easy and she was very quick to respond the couple of times we communicated with her. We highly recommend staying here and we can't wait to find another excuse to stay again!

My family and I loved staying here! The pool was perfect and we used it every single day and the space was ideal for us - my 4 year old especially loved the games (first timer playing Sorry) and PAC Man along with the nature / fire pit (and pool of course). It was very close to downtown Saugatuck and the host was super responsive. Our dog was also very relaxed in this location as it was quiet and peaceful and he is getting older. Thanks for the great stay and we can’t wait to come back’

Jennifer’s home was absolutely amazing—beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared in every way. It was the perfect place for our family getaway. The kids had an incredible time and are still talking about all the fun they had. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The stay was very peaceful and clean. I felt right at home and Kurt answered all my questions very quickly and took care of anything i needed. I would love to stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at the Green Oasis. The house was lovely and would be perfect for two families staying together as there are two separate ‘wings’ off the main entrance. The one side was more than enough room for the three of us. Rooms were very comfortable and we felt right at home. The backyard pool is the star of the show as we spent a lot of time in the private space out back. Having it heated and covered is an added plus. Chris was excellent communicating with us throughout the stay. We definitely are looking forward to our next trip to this beautiful home.

The location of this house is in a private quiet setting but close to so many things. The kids loved looking out the front window and seeing the horses right across the street. The house was very clean and exactly how it was described, nicely decorated without over doing it. We utilized every part of the large property for volleyball, football, cooking out and eating at the picnic table, bonfires for making smores and picking wild flowers. The pool and hot tub was very clean and nice. The bedrooms are large and perfectly accommodated our family of 10 with 2 littles in pack n plays. There were plenty of items provided to make our stay easy, dishes, cookware, pool towels, board games, and pool items. Brandon was a great host and extremely responsive before and during our stay. When we had a question about the air conditioner on our first night, he responded within 10 minutes and then sent someone out to handle it. I would highly recommend Brandon and this house for a family get away.

I stayed here with my two toddlers (1 and 3), my husband, and my parents. We loved it!! There was a ton of room for us all and Julie has thought of everything - pool floats, k cups, extra toothbrush and mouthwash (for the men in your life that forget), games and toys for kids! The house was extremely clean which is especially nice if you have a crawler still. We want to come back next summer!

A beautiful house! We loved our stay, our toddler loved the backyard & the pool. The location was secluded and peaceful. Just be aware, cars go flying down the road the house is off of and there’s a train that rolls through at night that’s quite loud. The front door was very tricky to use so we only used the side door. We would stay here again!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. They have done an excellent job of maximizing the space to meet the needs of their guests. Sean was very helpful and responsive. An awesome experience.

The home was very appropriate for our family. The fishing was good. Other services were nearby.

What a fantastic place to vacation! We stayed with our three young kiddos and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We borrowed Lynelle's bikes and enjoyed a few rides around the neighborhood and even to the beach! It really is a great location-- especially for families; it's in close proximity to the beach, lighthouse, playground, Frosty Cove, and The Deck (best restaurant in the area). Less time spent driving, means more time spent making memories as a family. :) We played, explored and dined all day, and then returned back to the house to relax and take in the beautiful view out the front windows. We would love to make a return trip here in the future!

I originally rented just because it was 2mins from my family, but I was more than happy with my stay. it was Spotless, and the list of rules for the house were easily seen. (all of the rules were basic common decency that anyone would do in my opinion) The host is very responsive and polite. Overall, I will be renting again next year if the place is available and it's a 10/10 place.

The retro house was amazing. We felt like we stepped back in time but without losing any modern conveniences. Beautiful view, charming neighborhood, fun eateries nearby and several parks for kids. I strongly recommend Parker's Retro House in Fremont, MI!!

The house is great setup for a relaxing family vacation. It is a nice quiet lake with a private beach and great fishing off the dock and around the whole lake. Our toddler loved the sand toys and we relaxed around the fire pit after dark. We also explored kid-friendly activities in Big Rapids and Mount Pleasant during our stay. The house was well-equipped and we really enjoyed our time here!

This home is incredibly lovely. It was better than what we expected. We will be coming back! Amy was flexible with our check out and let us 5 extra hours to hang out on our last day. Very accommodating!!

Great Neighborhood! Thea has thought of everything! Nice welcome gift that we never did get a chance to use so we left for the next guest but the thought was so appreciated! The labels on cupboards were super helpful! Nice walk to Lake Michigan. We had 7 people and were very comfortable here.

Situated nicely between Holland and Saugatuck, there is plenty to take in and even more to do. But the beauty in this rental is that all the attractions are close but yet far enough away so if peace and quiet is your goal, it will not disappoint. We only stayed 3 days and couldn’t even come close to enjoying everything the area has to offer. And the accommodations were beyond what we expected; from the personal touches and hand written notes, to the cleanliness and functionality of your own home. We wanted for nothing but more time!

Overall a great stay. We had a few minor issues with the house (nothing worth mentioning), but they were handled immediately. The house is adorable and as described in the ad. They had an unbelievable amount of spare towels and linens in the downstairs bedroom. That came in handy. The laundry area also had an over-abundence of supplies, which also came in handy. The only thing I would suggest is just a little bit more silverware. The most important thing to know about this location is the beach parking. Don't park anywhere at the beach without getting a parking pass. There are kiosks at the beach to pay, or, I believe, you can buy one at the police station. You can get a day pass or a seasonal pass. It's completely worth the price of the pass, though. The beach is insanely beautiful. I did not see one piece of garbage, not one. So, buy the seasonal pass and enjoy the hell out of that beach! I would totally return and stay in this house near this beach in a heartbeat.

The Haven Cottage was an amazing experience for our family of four. It went above and beyond our expectations! It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and safe for our young kids. Wendy & Al were amazing hosts and thoughtful down to every little detail. We realized we needed a pack and play and Wendy was generous enough to bring one over very quickly (and she also gave my girls some bubbles while stopping by). 🤗 They had a welcome book with everything we needed to know about the cottage, places to visit, and a scavenger hunt that my four year old LOVED! They went above and beyond and made us feel right at home and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Wendy & Al for sharing your beautiful home!
