The place was gorgeous, easy to find. The place was quite and the location is very convenient. Great place for a family trip.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere of the place. The central location and the annual entry ticket for the provincial parks made it the ideal location for our trip.

We had a great 4-night stay and would highly recommend Portage House. It’s a really comfortable, well-equipped place and Kathy and Jeremy were perfect hosts - friendly and ready to help or provide advice whenever asked. We were so happy to find out about the local second-hand bookstore! At the same time, they also gave us the privacy we like to have on holiday. Even though it was the end of May it was pretty cold. We were thankful that the heating warmed things up so quickly whenever needed. We had a busy time, going out to some social events, and we looked forward to coming “home” to our cosy cottage afterwards. Sadly, because of the weather we didn’t get to enjoy the waterfront too much. But thanks to Kathy’s extra blankets we were still able to relax on the dock and enjoy the beautiful view for a while. It would be lovely to experience Portage House in warmer weather too. Actually, our experience suggests that it would make a great getaway place for any season.

if you're reading all the reviews and wondering if it's too good to be true. it isn't! I was pleasantly surprised at Renee's Airbnb. I would consider it a old school bed and breakfast. the space was well put together. fridge was stocked. music was on. top 3 airbnbs I have ever stayed in.

Ray is a great host that made us feel right at home with a friendly greeting and accommodation with anything we needed from firewood to bbq equipment. Ray’s property is secluded to give the proper Muskoka experience with a great fire pit, and also close enough to Huntsville to go into town when needed. Would definitely stay again next time we are back in the area.

The place was exactly how it was advertised and perfect for me and my child. We attended the ski rodeo and the fireplace was perfect for drying out our wet ski gear! The view was beautiful and I imagine a summer trip here for avid hikers would be awesome! The hosts were also so easy to talk to, and very quick to respond!

Absolutely stunning home, one of the best places we’ve stayed at in an AirB&B! Marsha was a wonderful host, had everything we could have asked for and then some. She was extremely proactive in providing local highlights, activities and restaurants to enjoy! We really enjoyed our stay, it was very peaceful and we felt right at home. The location plus the hot tub/other amenities was fantastic. We’re hoping to return to this beautiful getaway again next year!

Kelly is a fantastic host, all of my questions were answered promptly and thoughtfully. The lower level airbnb and property are gorgeous. The beds and linens were fresh and comfortable. It has all listed amenities and more. The property is right on the Muskoka River, it has a dock that was perfect for our boat and a very convenient public launch, recommended by Kelly two minutes away. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, I would 100% recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area and would not hesitate to book with Kelly again.

We stayed for one night to enjoy the Fire and Ice skate night at Arrowhead park (bit of a long way to go home to Toronto after). The place was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had a great night’s sleep, enjoyed the hot tub after skating in the cold and there was breakfast and snacks for us in the fridge - although we didn’t take advantage of anything but the chocolate bar :) would recommend!
