Use Azumino and Ikeda-cho as your base in autumn for a trip to enjoy the spectacular views of the Northern Alps and the autumn foliage. From September to November, the autumn leaves gradually descend from the mountains to the villages in Shinshu. You can enjoy autumn scenery unique to each location, including Hakuba Happo Pond, Kamikochi, and the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. During the day, head to the mountains and plateaus to see the autumn foliage. When you come back, relax in the sauna and water bath. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ and the starry sky while spending a peaceful time in the countryside. This is a private rental that can accommodate up to 12 people, so it is recommended not only for family and group trips, but also for couples and small groups staying for multiple nights. Convenient location as a base for sightseeing in Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe. There is also a washing machine and a bathroom dryer for a comfortable extended stay. You can come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000-8,000 yen (round trip) depending on the distance, within 2 hours one way. For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange a rental car, so please consult in advance. October and November are the seasons when you can enjoy the autumn leaves and the quiet of Shinshu. We recommend staying for multiple nights and taking a leisurely trip to explore the different autumn landscapes of Hakuba, Kamikochi, Azumino, and other areas.

Stay with a dog at the "Protective Cat Cafe Honten", limited to one group per day, 1 night with cafe breakfast included

You can rent out the shelter cat cafe for your stay. All spaces can be rented out except during café business hours. The cat space is completely separate. Cats are not allowed in the cafe or the accommodation area. You can interact with the cats in the cat courtyard. You can eat and drink while watching the cat courtyard from the cafe. Dogs are also welcome to stay. Please bring everything your dog needs. However, pets are not allowed in the cat courtyard. They are free to enter and leave the rest of the space. Breakfast from the cafe menu is included. Cosplay photography can be done indoors. You can have a BBQ in the backyard. The BBQ set rental fee is 1,500 yen. There is a free craft corner in the Japanese-style room. You can also see the night view of the city from the cafe. Kiyomizu-dera Temple, famous for its autumn leaves, is directly in front. 15-20 minutes from Nagano IC and Nagano-Suzaka IC. 20-30 minutes by car from Nagano Station. A taxi costs about 6,000 yen. We can pick up up to 3 people from Nagano Station on Fridays and Saturdays. For 4 or more people, please arrange a round trip or use a taxi as well. We can take you to Nagano Station. The road near the inn is steep and narrow. If you are coming by car, you will need a 4WD vehicle or tire chains in winter. The amenities include "Shabondama soap," which is additive-free and fragrance-free. Late check-in is OK

Enjoy the view of Lake Nojiri, with a private sauna, Anoie (あの家)

This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.

The unique experience at the former Japanese traditional Kimono shop(about 97years old house). This family-friendly and the newly renovated house is located in the very traditional district and the calm but convenience area in Nagano city. The house is authentic and unique as it was a traditional Japanese clothing (Kimono) shop before. You would feel like your own home away from home. 5 minutes walk to the Zenkoji temple and 4 minutes to the bus stop for Togakushi national park.

Our private kura (Japanese storehouse), next to our family home, was renovated into a guesthouse in 2018. Enjoy the unique experience of staying in a real farmer's kura with the entire building all to yourselves. Our apple orchard is about a 5-minute walk away. During the apple season (late August to mid-November), you're welcome to enjoy complimentary apple picking.
