Wuz Gosho / Kyo-Machiya near Gosho / No Smoking
Wuz Goshi In the early summer of 2023, after the completion of Wuz Maritamachi, the architect was fascinated by the beauty of the wooden gaps in the Imperial Garden. Luckily, in the southwest corner of the Imperial Palace, in an alley about 50 meters long with old stone slabs, he encountered a two-story old wooden house built in the Taisho era. An old house with a signboard facade due to several modifications. The stone pavement in the alley is said to have been moved here when an old walkway in Kyoto was renovated. Because the residents cherish this 50-meter alley, it is only accessible to pedestrians. The alley, which is forbidden for vehicles, has also become a shortcut for nearby girls high school students to go to and from school to Marutamachi subway station. The occasional laughter of high school students passing by adds a youthful atmosphere to the quiet stone walkway. The alley is opposite the Imperial Palace, so the three buildings of the house are named Wuz Goshi.

Japanese and Western style retro house ~ 2-6 mins walk from bus, subway, JR station ~ next to World Heritage Nijo Castle, free Netflix
“Jingsu U-house” was converted from an old house built 90 years ago. While maintaining the original building, it features both the design of a typical Japanese Kyomachiya and a modern Western style.Although it's not luxurious, every piece of furniture is unique. It's not so much a B&B as it is your second home in Kyoto. The fusion of Japanese and Western styles in the decor allows you to experience the lifestyle of modern Japanese people more deeply. Based on guest feedback, the tatami room is equipped with thicker bedding to provide you with a more comfortable sleeping experience.Enjoy your stay! 😊 “U-house” was transformed from an old building 90 years ago. Although it is not luxurious, everything is unique. I would say “U-house” is your small villa in Kyoto, rather than a homestay. The combination of Japanese and Western styles will give you a deeper experience of the modern Japanese lifestyle.
