james' place castle cottage

LeAhRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
So much information given about the surrounding area and what it had to offer. Was very helpful and quick with replies, even let us check in an hour earlier. Left us a little present of Prosecco! Started our girls holiday off right and also left with some milk and home made Welsh cakes! Which was need after our long drive down. Place was really tidy and clean, was hard to keep it that way. Location is amazing and the people around town were super friendly and helpful. We are already thinking of visiting again as we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted Thank you so much for a lovely long weekend.

PENGELLI DAIRY.. (Family Discount Available.)

JulieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We all had a truly wonderful stay at The Dairy in South Wales. The cottage is charming, beautifully kept, and perfectly nestled among rolling hills and countryside walks — an ideal spot to switch off and unwind from the demands of everyday life. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic, with plenty of walking trails right on the doorstep perfect for our 2 dogs what where with us!Whether you're after a gentle stroll or something more adventurous, the area is a dream for nature lovers. Our hosts were absolutely fantastic — warm, welcoming, and always on hand if needed, without being intrusive. You can tell they really care about making guests feel at home. Even giving us milk that we forgot to bring with us-! Lifesavers! If you're looking for a peaceful escape with stunning views, fresh air, and a real sense of calm, I can't recommend The Dairy enough. I left feeling rested, recharged, and already planning a return visit! Thank you so much guys, see you soon!

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a fantastic stay. Beautiful property with a comfy bed and sofa bed and a little nook for the kids to sleep in. The house was very clean and had everything you would need. Amazing area, close to the beach and coastal path and we went for lovely walks with beautiful views. Hot tub was fab, we could watch the sunset from it. Sam was very helpful and responsive. We have booked to return for later in the year. Thanks so much.

The Hayloft @ Cantref

ConnorRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I've stayed in several places around the area over the years, This was a bit of a gem however. The site itself has plenty of amenities but is also very conveniently located. it's even well enough known in the community that restaurants can easily deliver. After a birthday spent walking the hills, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax and the house itself was wonderfully warm and well furnished. I would absolutely visit again and recommend to others.

266 Cottage, 4* LOGFIRE, HOTTUB, B'Q,PLAYGD,LOCKUP

LouisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We’ve just returned from the most delightful short break in a beautiful college cottage tucked away in the heart of Wales. The cottage itself was a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort — tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and full of character. Surrounded by rolling hills and the peaceful sounds of nature, it felt like a true escape from the everyday. This little haven gave us the peace and quiet we craved, along with the warmth and welcome of a truly special place. We left feeling rested, inspired, and already dreaming of our return xx

Mabel Cottage , Hot Tub, 1 Bed, Barn Conversion

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay for 2 nights at Mabel Cottage. Debbie was on hand to greet us immediately upon arrival and she talked us through all of the relevant instructions for the hot tub etc. Very friendly and approachable and made it clear she was just over the way if we needed something. The barn was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Towels were provided for the bathroom and the hot tub and we had a relaxing time. The wood fired hot tub was great......we spent about 2+ hours in there on our 2nd night. We also made use of the BBQ under the covered area (needed in the Welsh rain). The local area is stunning and there are lots of dry and wet weather things to do within the Brecons area. Revisiting the Waterfalls was a highlight ......you do need to be energetic as described as some steep gradients and uneven steps/ground! All in all we had a fantastic time at Mabel and would definitely stay again!

Bwthyn Y Saer | Accessible | Dog Friendly

David RichardRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Our stay in the Swansea cottages was beyond our expectations. It is one of the few places that indicate they are accessible was truly accessible. From the gentle sound of the stream outside our bedroom to the sounds of the sheep in the pasture next door it was a very relaxing place to stay. The owners also put a book together that let you know all the pubs, places to see and more that was very helpful. Lastly the owner was extremely friendly giving us the history of where we were staying. Highly recommend these cottages.

I loved staying here! I felt like I was in a fairytale book or something. I come all the way from Texas and I am on my way to Norway. The price was perfect. Had everything I needed here. It was just me. This place would be incredible for families. There are two extra rooms upstairs that I didn’t even use. 😆😆 thank you again!

Helen's place has been thought out well for all ages. She is very helpful and has good advice on local places of interest. We had a lovely break exploring Wales and resting up up at the cottage by the log fire. Children had toys and dressing up and snooker kept them happy. Had a bbq and a stroll outside cottage wonderful views and horses.
