A characterful home with exposed wall built from stones of the River Aude. Two minutes walk to a host of local shops/bars/restaurants and twice weekly market. Night market in summer. Swimming, walking, cycling, kayaking all on the doorstep.

Sleeps 6 adults + 2 teens / kids.

Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. There is a wood stove for the winter. We deliver a wheelbarrow with firewood for €15.

From here you can visit Quillan and its lake, the mysterious Rennes-le-Chateau, the lake and castle of Puivert, the stunning castle of Montsegur, an impressive sight nestled high on a rocky hilltop.
