Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

Burnbrae Byre

Truly luxurious holiday accommodation in a tastefully converted byre, set in a tranquil, rural location, but ideally located for all that the south- west has to offer. Shorepark Holiday Cottage is a delightful waterside cottage with stunning views, overlooking the estuary of the River Nith on the edge of Glencaple village, within a National Scenic Area. The old part of the house was originally a fisherman’s cottage built in the 1700’s, with its original beams, and the open plan modern extension gives a stunning panoramic view of the river, the birdlife and the landscape beyond. It makes an ideal base for exploring beautiful Dumfries & Galloway.

Kirkland Cottage

Kirkland Cottage is completely self-contained and is attached to our main house in an enclosed, secluded and large garden. Although only two miles from Dumfries Town Centre it is in a quiet, rural location. There is ample parking beside the cottage and a lockable room for storage of bicycles and other leisure equipment. The cottage provides a great base from which to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the immediate locality.

Old Tea Rooms

This pretty cottage was once used as a Tearoom on what was then a strawberry picking farm. Set within 30 acres of beautiful pastoral farmland this quirky conversion is a peaceful rural retreat, but is ideally located for all that the region has to offer. A stones throw from some of Scotland’s finest unspoiled and quiet beaches and within driving distance of all of the 7stanes mounting biking trails for those looking for a little more adventure.

Located on the banks of the River Nith at Glencaple, the 100 year old cottage has been renovated to a high modern standard inside and out. Boasting a master bedroom with en-suite, and two twin rooms up stairs, a family bathroom, kitchen/diner and a family room with log-burner. Great, modern 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Dumfries centre. The living area comes with a large corner sofa bed and wide screen smart TV. There is two bedrooms: 1 with a comfy king size bed and the other with 2 single beds. The good- sized kitchen is well stocked with an induction hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and washing machine. The bathroom comes with walk in shower, sink, WC and toiletries.

The Old Schoolhouse

A Victorian Schoolhouse, now a cozy and stylish home. The Old Schoolhouse has 3 bedrooms, shower room & en suite bathroom. Wood stove in the lounge, open fire in the kitchen, and central heating. Light, bright, with a large garden looking onto the fields beyond- snowdrops in the spring, cherries in summer, and apples in autumn. The occasional escapee hen wandering about. The perfect place for a proper holiday.

Threecrofts Farm

Dumfries and Galloway is a part of Southern Scotland often overlooked by those heading North to the Highlands. It retains a slow old fashioned character and is a hub for arts and crafts as well as having many lovely beaches, pubs and restaurants. Our cottage is just the thing for getting away from modern life and relaxing. Exceptionally quiet and peaceful with gorgeous views, great walks etc. Dogs are welcome

The Lily Pod

The Lily Pod is a self-contained holiday pod situated at our pond here at Lochhill Farm. It can sleep up to 4 people but more suited to two. The Pod has an open plan bedroom, living, dining and mini kitchen area and an enclosed shower room. Outside we have an open decking looking on to The Pond and stunning views further towards Criffel.
