Kid-friendly holiday rentals in New London

A perfect long weekend getaway for my wife, 2 toddlers and infant. Relaxing and great location. The little beach access just a short walk away was amazing. Already thinking about going back.

This was our second stay at Patsy's cozy cottage (last time we stayed a week, which wasn't enough. This time we stayed two weeks). The house is clean and comfortable, well-stocked with towels/linens and kitchen gear (we cooked all three meals almost every day). Beds are comfy (especially the adjustable queen!). We loved using the BBQ and eating out on the back porch. The one window AC unit kept the small house cool on the hottest days. The best thing is the 10-minute walk (or 1 min. drive) to the lovely and pristine Waterford Beach, where we went at least once a day (it is worth it to buy a visitor's parking pass for the summer season). It's also a 5-min. drive to Ocean Beach Park, with its boardwalk, water slides, pool, arcade, mini golf, and old fashioned carnival rides. Patsy and Jim are friendly, wonderful hosts, always responsive and helpful; they live in a separate house on the property, so can respond to things quickly, but always ensure your privacy. We'll be back!

This was a very beautiful house on the lake. I also appreciate it a lot of toiletries and a large supply of clean towels, linens, pillows, etc. That is a very nice touch. Overall, the only regret is that I wish we stayed there for a longer duration.

We had a wonderful family stay a this home to visit some local kid attractions including the aquarium. Hope is a fantastic host - great communication, friendly and accommodating. The house itself was roomy for our group. It was clean and very well appointed with all the basics you need to be comfortable. The four king sized beds was really nice. No fighting over rooms! Our kids enjoyed the chalk and bubbles that were left outside and playing in the yard. The deck is also a nice space although we didn’t get to use it due to weather. I would definitely recommend this home.

Our stay at Francesca's place was absolutely perfect! The house was exactly as described, and even more beautiful in person. It was spotlessly clean, and we really appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided. Francesca was incredibly responsive and helpful, making check-in a breeze. The location was ideal, within walking distance to Ocean Beach park and a 20-minute drive to the Naval Submarine Base New London. We particularly loved the colorful and vibrant decor throughout the house, which added to the cheerful atmosphere. Though we were three adults, we were impressed by how well-stocked the space was with games and activities for little ones, a very thoughtful touch! The kitchen, beds and baths were well stocked with everything we needed. We really appreciated the character of this charming, older home and noticed the thoughtful renovations. It's clear Francesca is putting a lot of care into the property. Thankful we were able to create wonderful memories while visiting our sailor.

The house was very clean, with a beautiful, large, well stocked kitchen. The view was lovely and it was wonderful hanging out on the deck. The beds were very comfortable. The house would be a little more practical if one of the bedrooms had two beds, so more people could sleep in the actual bedrooms. The pull out beds were not as comfortable and the bed in the loft is only accessible with a ladder. However, for a small group or people who aren’t picky about their sleeping arrangements it is a fantastic place to stay. You can’t beat the view and proximity to the water!

Great experience all around.

This house was the perfect location to take a few minutes to walk to Mystic Pizza. From there, you could walk down Main Street and see all the boutiques and restaurants. It is a very friendly town and a perfect little getaway.

Jacuelines place was amazing! It was perfect for what we were looking for and completely met our needs and more. It was very clean and comfortable with the perfect amount of privacy and space.

The location is amazing! It’s just a quick walk from downtown Mystic but also far enough that it still feels private and very quiet. The apartment was also super clean. The furniture wasn’t the most comfortable and the bathroom is small, but we didn’t spend much time there as there was so much to do in town. Highly recommend this place if you plan on exploring. Huge benefit that it is also pet friendly!

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Holly’s place! We were traveling with 2 adults, an 18 year old and significant other and 2 teenagers and the amount of space was perfect! Everyone had room to spread out. The apartment had all the things you love about old homes, but all the updates that make life easier. The homemade banana bread that Holly left for us was such a personal touch and it was delicious. Erica greeted us with a warm welcome even though we arrived well past midnight. My daughter enjoyed reading in the cozy sitting area by the window. It was fun to watch the Hallmark movie that was filmed there. We fast forwarded the cheesy parts and enjoyed seeing the house in the movie. The area is peaceful and quaint. There’s a Dunkin about 5 minutes away, too which made our early mornings a little easier. Highly recommend if you’re traveling with a family!

So many good things to say about Marianne's home and the experience. - Communication with Marianne- super easy -Location - so close to everything but also so quiet -The treats - yum. What a sweet touch! And also coffee, tea and cocoa - very nice not to have to go out and deal with that first thing in the morning. -The space - absolutely immaculate and so cute and comfortable. Even the bath towels were luxurious! I know it's listed as a couples retreat but I'm totally doing a mother daughter trip here next. She is going to love it! Thank you for opening your home to us. If I could give more stars I would!

We had a great stay in Mystic over Father's Day and Joanne’s place was part of why it was a great weekend. Her place is minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and yet super woodsy. LOVED waking up and seeing the trees and listening to the birds in bed, which was quite comfortable and cozy. Inside was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor area looked like a fun place to hang out, however the weather didn't permit that. We were especially happy to have the electric wood heater in the unit to make it cozy since the weather was damp and cool. We also appreciated the very detailed instructions book which included nuts and bolts about the home, plus lots of other helpful info. A great place to stay!

Harper House was absolutely beautiful! It is in the perfect spot in mystic to walk to pretty much everything! We walked to dinner and lunch everyday as well as the shops. Food is great in this area and the hosts left us some great recommendations. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in mystic!

The Villa was exactly as described! Easy communication with owner. A perfect getaway weekend, every amenity we could want or need! Look forward to visiting again in the near future!

We stayed in town for an event at Mohegan Sun. The flexible check in was helpful as we got in late at night. The place was clean and welcoming.
