Luxury cottage - river views, balcony and hot tub

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Lakeside Barn w/ fantastic views & Hot-Tub

KarenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

6* Lux 2 Bed Cottage on Island Near Lake District

GillianRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Bella’s Barn, barn conversion with private hot tub

EllieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Perfect stay from start to end. It rained when we stayed but that didn’t matter as we spent time in the hot tub under the shelter and the barn was really cosy. Very clean and felt like home. I can’t wait to come back :)

Chestnut Cottage - Bay views, hot tub & log burner

SarahleeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wonderful 5-night stay at Chestnut Cottage after Rob completed the Great Glen Way & West Highland Way in 6 days! @freemanwalking on YouTube 😀 The hot tub was a real treat for soothing sore muscles. Stunning bay views made the cottage the perfect place to relax. The bed was super comfy, and we loved the little extra touches like the soft robes and complimentary tea, coffee, and milk. Just a short, scenic walk along the promenade to the village for supplies. The weather wasn’t the best, but the cosy cottage more than made up for it. Highly recommend! Thank you Gemma

Fell Cottage – Gorgeous Luxury Lake District Gem

JonathanRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a great family stay at Fell Cottage to celebrate my 65th. Lynn was a very proactive communicator and always quick to respond to any messages left for her. The cottage is exactly as stated in the descriptions and photos and spotlessly clean on arrival. The house manual had lots of great recommendations for walks and places to eat. The cottage has great access to Coniston Water and to the Old Man. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball with us, but it didn't spoil our stay. Fell Cottage gets a whole hearted recommendation from us.

Latter Rigg Cottage

Ee LeeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were looking g for a place not within the main tourist areas of the Lake District and this place was the perfect match. You will need to have a car to get there but it is lovely and peaceful. Toiletries are not provided. The kitchen is well equipped but aside from salt and pepper, you would need to bring anything else you may need. However, these are small points. The key is that the place is super comfortable and cosy and we had a wonderful albeit short time there. Thank you!

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

AnneRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Booked a couple of nights here with our whippets. A good size and the bed was really fantastic; large and very comfortable. I do like a dark bedroom, and the thing I would add is that black out blinds or curtains would have been the icing on the cake for me. really great little cottage.

Lake District Cottage close to Coniston Water

JoanneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Myself and my dogs had the nicest stay at Lynn’s place and we were so sad to leave. The place was amazing, clean, tidy and had everything we needed even extra throws for the dogs. There was also some lovely local goodies and eggs left too. Lynn gave me lots of info about places to visit in the area and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. I’d been supposed to be staying with a friend who couldn’t make it in the end and I was worried as I’d booked an activity I couldn’t take my dogs too but Lynn went above and beyond and found a safe space for them to chill whilst I went and was around to keep an eye on them for me. There are lots of gorgeous sheep, goats, chickens and ducks at the smallholding who were all so friendly and Lynn left food for me to feed them whenever I wanted which was lovely. I felt so at home there, didn’t want to leave and had the loveliest break. I cannot wait to book another trip there so I can go back and would highly recommend Lynn’s place to anyone.

Well appointed 3 bedroom barn conversion

ReyhanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an amazing 2-night stay at Jane’s place. The house is absolutely beautiful and set in breathtaking surroundings—the photos really don’t do it justice, as the real thing is far more exquisite. The decor is warm and homely, yet spacious enough to comfortably fit the five of us. Both bathrooms were spotless—one with a shower and the other with a bathtub, which gave us the flexibility to choose. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including ample fridge space. The garden is also worth mentioning—gorgeous and clearly very well cared for. We especially loved the fireplace; it truly felt like the cherry on top of an already perfect stay. The house manual was detailed and extremely helpful, covering everything we needed to know. Jane was a wonderful host—so warm and thoughtful. She welcomed us with a lovely letter and some delicious biscuits, which made us feel right at home from the start. Highly recommended!

The Aviary - Cosy 1-bed woodland cottage

ShirleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We went for a peaceful break of every day life. Took our dogs and our bikes.. Absolutely perfect, felt so cosey at night, lots of walks around us. My hubby enjoyed the walk out the back thru the wood to the church. Great roads for cycling on. Clear instructions on how to use appliances in the cottage. Would of preferred a later checkout but, had to drag myself out the cosey bed instead. Never had to contact luke while we were there but, he was quick and responsive whilst booking. Will definitely be back. Thanks luke 😊

Lake District cottage with lake views

HelenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Great to have a view of Coniston Lake. Cottage was extremely comfortable and homely & had everything needed for our stay. Martin’s instructions to find and access the cottage were very comprehensive which really helped. Martin also provided lots of information on places to eat and visit and responded well to any issues. Coniston is an ideal location to access the Lakes and would recommend the area and Martin’s cottage to others. Would love to return one day.

I found some things that I am not comfortable such as in the bathroom basin there is no mixer and the basin have no sign, it’s broken . Also, toilet flusher is not working sometimes. It looks like a very old type . Also, the double bed mattress is very soft. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping. Otherwise, everything fine. Also, It is a little bit expensive compare to other cottage . Thank you

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I thought the pictures were nice when I booked but the place was beyond my expectations. It had everything you could wish for and looking out at the waterfall was just amazing. I have never seen anything quite as beautiful. The hosts were fab and were very welcoming and the surrounding countryside is just stunning. I had a wonderful stay. I will definitely be back.
